Question

How sensitive are VL53L1X SPADs to other wavelengths photons ?

Hi,

the laser works at 940nm. Do we know whether the SPADs are tuned to this wavelength, or whether they would also be able to detect photons at other wavelengths (double the original wavelength, for instance) ?

Thanks a lot in advance

The SPADs are not tuned. They simply count photons. What makes the SPAD work is a 940nm very narrow optical filter placed on top of the SPADs. The filter is pretty darn good- or the sensor wouldn't work. If you stay away from frequencies between 939 and 941 stray light should not be a problem.

Cool, thanks.
