I want to use the VD55g1 camera on widows but i am not able to find the right driver 

Hello, I am developing a sensor board using the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with the VL53L5CX IC by itself, not a breakout board. However, I am running into a problem when trying to read in the sensor data using a simple test script offered by Pimorini. I also have the VL53L5CX breakout board from Pimorini which I connect to the same pins and run the same script and it works just fine.    Here is the error:             Uploading firmware, please wait... Hello, I'm trying to set up the deep sleep mode for VL53L8CX using NUCLEO L476RG board so as described in the datasheet that it can operates in 3 different states:• Wake-up: The device is set in HP idle (high power), waiting for instructions.• Sleep: The device is set in LP idle (low power), the low power state. The device cannot be used until set inwake-up mode. This mode retains the firmware and the configuration.• Deep sleep: The device is set in ultra-low power. In this mode, the sensor consumes a few microamps ofcurrent. However, the firmware, configuration, and calibration data are completely lost. The user needs toset the device in wake-up mode and reconfigure the sensor to start streaming.   But the only result i'm getting using api functions are wake-up and sleep mode but not the deep sleep one Can you please help me to get it working

I am a beginner in this field. Can anyone help me?I am testing Adafruit VL53L4CD and Arduino Nano with Atmel ATmega328P 16 MHz processor.Only 10 cm. wire is connecting the Adafruit board and the Nano board.I have an issue with status code using ST VL53L4CD_Sat_HelloWorld.ino sketch.inoWhen distance is below approx. 500 mm. Status = 0 (OK).When distance is below approx. 1.400 mm. Status = 2 (Wire: Received NACK on transmit of address?)When distance is above approx. 1.400 mm. Status = 4 (Wire: Other error?)Some times also status = 7?The status may originate from Wire.endTransmission()I have analyzed the I2C protocol using PicoScope. I can't figure out what's wrong. Se oploaded image.I would expect nice square shapes for SDA and SDC. But that is not the case?Regards Joergen

I'm implementing a smart shelving solution that uses an array of multiple ( 3x6 sensors across 3 i2c channels). I'm multiplexing the sensors so that no sensors emit on the same time. For that I use the drivers start measurement and stop functions and it kind of works. Yet I notice that in continuous mode (using a phone camera) the sensors keep emitting even after they have been stopped. In autonomous mode I can see some flickering of the light but still not the 1/18 time share that I would expect. It virtually still looks like emitting 90% of the time.How can I prevent the sensors from emitting light so there is no cross talk ( the reading sensor picking up on parked sensors light and getting confused)?    

Hi, I use ToF sensor with multisensorRanging code from stm.I wanted to check data faster (like twice per 1 second...), But when I set RANGING_FREQUENCY as 4U, I can't get all of the data. There is some loss of data when I set a bigger frequency.I wonder what are TIMING_BUDGET, RANGING_FREQUENCY and POLLING_PERIOD.

Is the VL53L7CH software (STSW-IMG043_ULD) a superset of the VL53L7CX (STSW-IMG036) software? That is, can I use the VL53L7CH software with both devices?Best,Anton

I am using the VL53L4CD sensor board very similar to https://www.sparkfun.com/products/18993 with my application. I am using the modified version of https://github.com/stm32duino/VL53L4CD driver on the Raspberry Pico board. I am using the both the xshut and INTR pins. I am able to read the sensor ID and load the default configuration without any issues. However, the call to  VL53L4CD_CheckForDataReady times out in the SensorInit function. Also, in the function  VL53L4CD_SetRangeTiming, reading the osc frequency return 0, instead of non-zero. I have also compared the driver files with the https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/x-cube-tof1/blob/main/Drivers/BSP/Components/vl53l4cd/ . They seem to be identical except the platform functions. Please let me know what could be causing these issues?    

I heard that ST has extended the lifetime of the L0, L1 and L3.  Can you tell me what the new dates are and where on the website I can find them?

I am using TOF vl53l8cx with stm32wb5mm-dk. I have used this sensor earlier with f407 and it worked completely fine . Hi,I am conducting a rapid object detection test using the VL53L4CX sensor. I am moving an object towards the sensor at approximately 5 km/h and aiming to light an LED if the object is detected at around 60 cm to measure the sensor's response time. However, when checking the LED with a camera, it lights up at approximately 50 cm. I am trying to determine the cause of this delay. The MeasurementTimingBudget is set to 20 ms. When the object is stationary at 60 cm, the LED lights up as expected. Could the sensor be providing outdated data, or do you have any theories on the potential cause of this delay?

Greetings.how to detect that the VL6180 sensor beam is totally blocked (the sensor directly touches an object)?When an object touches and blocks the VL6180 sensor, the sensor returns distances of 255 mm and typically the error message: ECE (Early convergence estimate) failure / Signal/Noise error / No convergence.The sensor returns exactly the same status when objects are too far away. How can I detect that an object is mistakenly lying and blocking the sensor so that it does not work as it should? Kind regardsJoergen

I've amended the linux driver for the VL53L5CX with better support for multi-sensor installations, with the I2C address set by the kernel module at initialization, address given by the device tree. As soon as the motors start rotating, the PerformSingleRangingMeasurement function returns an error code (-20), indicating a failure in the control interface.   Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Isolated the sensors and tested them individually: Each sensor works perfectly when the motors are not rotating. I am using Vl53l8cx with stm32wb5mmdk.  I am unable to initialize the sensor via this board. I used  it with a nucleo board and it worked fine, but I need a BLE-based controller to share data. SDA  and SCL are pulled up with 4.7k 3v3 is connected to 5vo via voltage divider giving 3.3 volts , 1v8 is connected to 5VO via voltage divide giving 1.8 volts. SPI_I2c_N is connected to gnd pin. As shown in the figure, can we change the pull-up resistance of SCL and SDA from 2.2k to 1k?What is the impact on TOF (VL53L5CX)? 

Hi,   I was doing a distance test on the VL53L4CX sensor using ESP32 and the ST example codes on Arduino. I'm getting  inconsistent offset errors across the range. The setup is a brine tank with salt inside it. Any ideas on this?   Thank you.

Hi folks,I am currently testing the VL53L0X sensor and reading the datasheet. Is the current consumption of the sensor 19 mA in the single ranging scenario, or is it calculated for continuous ranging? I'm not clear on this point.Thanks!

Or would also an initiated ranging stop?In order to save power: is there a need to set via I2C the mode, or would LPn low already bring the sensor into low power mode? (I am not convinced based on what I have studied in the datasheet).Another question:The RES signal on ToF sensor: does it reset the entire chip? As I understand, just the I2C is reset. In order to reset the entire chip, I had to toggle also both VDDs.I have realized: when the chip is messed up (e.g. still running a range scan configured), just toggling RES is not enough. I need a power cycle of entire setup. Is this expected as "reset behavior"?

Question 1: What is the minimum measuring distance of the VL53L4CD? The official manual states it as 1mm, but in my actual tests, it fails to measure accurately when getting closer than about 1cm. At closer distances, the data becomes erroneous. Why is this happening?Question 2: After modifying the I2C address of the VL53L4CD, can the change be retained even after power loss? In my current tests, every time the device powers up, I need to manipulate Pin X to change the address. However, upon the next power cycle, the address isn't saved and I have to reconfigure the device address again.

I am working with a vl53l8cx and following the instructions exactly to initialize the sensor but it always generates a hard fault error.  I tried debugging , the hard fault is generated once the function Wrbyte is being called and it writes to the address 0x0777. As no register map probably exist I am stuck with this . Need Help

I have a P-NUCLEO-53L8A1 development kit, which consists of an X-NUCLEO-53L8A1 connected to NUCLEO-F401RE. When I am using the GUI program STSW-IMG041, it can correctly get data. However, I am using the X-CUBE-TOF1 kit from this website link: https://www.st.com/en/ecosystems/x-cube-tof1.html. I compiled the example '53L8A1_SimpleRanging' located in 'en.X-CUBE-TOF1\Projects\NUCLEO-F401RE\Examples\53L8A1', but I encountered an error while running it: 'VL53L8A1_RANGING_SENSOR_Init failed. Check you're using ONLY the center device soldered on the shield, NO satellite shall be connected!' I debugged my code and found that it fails when trying to read the ID:if (VL53L8CX_ReadID(&(VL53L8CXObj[Instance]), &id) != VL53L8CX_OK){ret = BSP_ERROR_COMPONENT_FAILURE;}Since using the GUI program gives me data successfully, I believe the module itself should be fine.
