Hi,

Can somebody please suggest me a ToF sensor with signal sampling rate of atleast 1MhZ.

Thank you

The ToF sensors from STMicroelectronics measure the propagation time of the photons from the integrated laser to the integrated receiver using a proprietary method. An ADC would be far too slow for the short propagation times, which is why there is no sampling rate.

The ToF sensors also cannot work with external lasers.

I don't know of an ST part that can help you.

@vishnusf

  • What do you want to use a ToF sensor (time-of-flight) for?
  • Why are you interested in a sampling rate that has nothing to do with ToF sensors, but with ADCs?

HI Peter,

Thanks for the reply.

  • What do you want to use a ToF sensor (time-of-flight) for?                                                                                            We want to use for a biomedical application. We plan to use an external continuous laser with the sensor.
  • Why are you interested in a sampling rate that has nothing to do with ToF sensors, but with ADCs?                     We need to know the sampling frequency since our application uses fourier transfrm hence we need the sampling rate of the signal.
