Error 6148 with STEVAL-IDP004V2 Board and TE Concept IO-Link Application

Hello,

I recently purchased the STEVAL-IDP004V2 board, and I'm encountering an issue when connecting it with the GUI V2 ST and the TE Concept IO-Link application. The same error repeatedly appears: "master application 6148 Appears and Disappears."

Could anyone provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance for your help.

The error 6148 on STEVAL-IDP004V2 with TE Concept IO-Link usually means firmware mismatch or wrong COM port selected.

Quick fix:

Update firmware on STEVAL-IDP004V2 to latest version (v2.x or higher) using STM32CubeProgrammer.

Select correct COM port in GUI V2 ST → make sure it’s the master port, not virtual COM for debug.

Power cycle board: unplug USB, wait 10s, replug.

Reinstall TE Concept IO-Link device description (IODD) in GUI.

Still broken? → Downgrade GUI to v1.4.0 (v2.x has known 6148 bug with TE devices).
