Is an external mcu required to program BlueNRG-M2

Hello,

I am working on a project on which I want to recover data from another BLE (Bluethoof Low Energy) sensor. I found the module BlueNrg-M2 to be good for my application but I don't know if I need an external mcu to program it. I really need your help !

If someone have already worked with this module, it will really be helpuf if i can know how to make the connections between a sensor, the module and the mcu (if needed).
