Manual or tutorial for ST Customized Protocol in AN5041?

In AN5041 Rev 5, pages 26-28, there is an example programming sequence for the STEVAL-IDP004V2 master and a device on a STEVAL-IDP003V1 using ST's customized protocol (a substitute for IO-LINK).

Is there a manual or tutorial  or resource page that goes through programming the boards and communicating with them with ST's customized protocol?

Thank you SofLit, I have that other kit as well, the documentation is more clear to me too.

I still have the issue of what to do with my 4-port master hub since it has been programmed with the ST Customized Protocol, see AN5041 - Rev 5 page 22.  I programmed the STEVAL-IDP004V2 hub with the file  "STEVAL-IDP004V2-RS485.hex".  It seems for this setup with the STEVAL-IDP003V1, the IO-Link demo is the simpler way, but, after much searching, where is the hex file for programming the STEVAL-IDP004V2  (AN5041 - Rev 5, section 5 on page 29)?  Notice how the documentation's steps don't say what the hex file is and where to get it from.   I can't find it on ST's site, there only seems to be IO-Link libraries, but no hex file to set the board back to what it was from the factory.  Once that is done, then I can try the video you mentioned with the IO-Link Master example. 

 Where do I get the hex file for the IO-Link setup for the STEVAL-IDP004V2 hub?

 What is the process to renew the license?
