Need technical guidance for SCLT3-8BT8

I need to interface Digital input sensors of PNP & NPN type both in one of my product.

Can I use SCLT3-8BT8 to interface both the type of sensors? Ho should we detect high side & low side through SPI lines on microcontroller?
