Question

Q1: For the modules BlueNRG-M2S(P) and (A): What ist he sum of capacitors (µF) and inductances (µH) in each module (is required for ATEX certification)? Q2: Are these modules washable after assembly on the PCB, for subsequently coating/potting ?

Hello,

for one of our customers in the sector of process automation, we are evaluating different BLE modules including your BlueNRG-M2SP and BlueNRG-M2SA

For our evaluation, there are two requirements we must know, to verify their capability to be certified and used it in explosive environments (ATEX):

  1. Internal (onboard/on chip) total capacity (C) and inductivity (L). This can be either a list or partial BOM of all capacitors and inductors included in the module, or its schematics

  1. Is this module washable after its assembly on the target PCB, to be prepared/cleaned for a final coating or potting?

I hope you can provide me with this information.

Best regards

Achim

    Hello,

    You are right.

Atex certification requires to know some module internal details.

This cannot be provided over community so I would encourage you to contact your local ST sales representative or distributor.

    Regards
