Toggling the STUSB4700 GPIO with no established USB PD Sink connection

If the STUSB4700 hasn't established a connection with a USB PD sink, can the GPIO pins controlling the feedback resistors still be toggled to provide a desired feedback resistance for a desired regulator output voltage? Is this possible through I2C, or some other method, and if so, how would this be done?

I want the regulator accepting the feedback resistance from the STUSB4700 to output 9V or 12V when there is no connection to a sink. Is this possible through I2C, or some other method, and if so, how would this be done? The pass transistor connected to the STUSB4700's VBUS_EN_SRC (pin 20) would be forced on as well.
