I want to use ST BLE Sensor_v4.9.0 app to do FFT from STEVAL-STWINKT1 MCU board with built-in vibration sensor IIS3DWB. However, I cannot select 4096 FFT size, only 1024 FFT size. Why? Please advise. By the way, the maximum sensor output data rate (Hz) is 6660 Hz only, not 26667 Hz. Why? Thanks!

I'm using L3GD20H on a flight controller board for drones.While conducting a temperature test that starts from -11°C and ends at 50°C, I observed a sharp rise/drop in gyro values at around 23°C. (The board stayed still the whole time inside a vibrating chamber.)Can you give me any insight on why this happens or/and how to prevent it?​​

I have collected 200 samples of the gyroscope raw data and get the average to calculate the offset. After that, I leave the sensor on table and try to read the raw data. The raw data read should be close to the average value that I obtained at the beginning but they are not the same. I have printed out the value and attached the photo below. The first line is the offset (obtained by getting the average of 200 samples of raw data when the sensor is at rest), all the data after first line is the gyroscope raw data read after collecting the 200 samples. I'm trying to establish the connection between the SensorTile.box and Matlab. When I search for the Sensortile.box with the proper Matlab command, I can see the device but then, when I try connecting it, I get an error. I tried the same with a Sensortile (firmware: FP-SNS-ALLMEMS1_v3.1.0): it worked and the connection was robust. I thought about changing the SensorTile.box firmware (e.g. with the FP-SNS-ALLMEMS2 for the L4R9, and others) but I got the same error during the connection process. Can you suggest me a working firmware for this specific issue? How can i solve my problem? Thanks in advance.

I flashed my sensortile box but it stopped working after that. ( no lights blinking ).I did a reset on it using STM PRG. But still even when i plug it in still no lights are blinking. Battery is connected but there is no light.

I'm developing a low power shock detector based on an SMT32L486 and a LIS2DTW12.Normally the accelerometer is in sleep mode waiting to wake up. (SLEEP_ON bit = 1)I want to detect short shocks (at least 10 ms long) but i understood in sleep mode the accelerometer ODR is only 12.5 Hz, it means a sample every 80 ms. In these conditions is the accelerometer able to wake up for 10 ms accelerations higher than the threshold?Is it possible in sleep mode to increase the ODR to 200 Hz, in order to be still able to send a active or a single tap interrupt? I have limited experience coding in C and C++, and I am new to the interfacing of breakout boards. I have done a lot of reading on the documentation for the LSM6DSOX and feel quite familiar with its capacities, but I am finding the application of the code to be beyond my scope, at least for my project's timetable.I'm trying to enable and access the Angle calculation (Section 6.4 in AN5273) from integration of gyroscope data in the Finite State Machine onboard the LSM6DSOX, while interfaced with Arduino UNO. I have yet to find any libraries or examples on GitHub that clearly align with my use case. Is this possible without the use of Unico GUI? If not, what would the process with Unico be for uploading a configuration to the board? I attempted to find discussion of this on the Community Boards and Q/A sections. Apologies if I missed it.

Figure 6 shows the LPF2 is a function of the output data rate (ODR_G). I cannot seem to find in the documentation the bandwidth and phase delay introduced by LPF2 when HPF and LPF1 are bypassed.

I want to implement double tap detection using LIS2HH12 accelerometer. It does not have in-built registers to implement it. Has anybody implemented it?

Hi,I would like to ask you, do you have accelerometer with vector-magnitude change event detection with programmable reference, threshold, anddebounce time values ?I need to detect accelerometer orientation change, but not from 0g but for example from from 0.45g by + -0.1g.I need to detect a change in orientation that will generate the interrupt. The new position is remembered as a reference and re-orientation change (from the new position) generates the IRQ again.I mean about similar features like in FXLS8471 from your competitor NXP.Best regardsAdrian

In the datasheet for the LSM6DS33 and LSM9DS1 a factory calibration is mentioned (e.g. bottom of page 40). HelloSampling data from the IIS3DWB accelerometer over the course of a couple of seconds, when the device is completely stationary, on the 16g range, the peak-to-peak readings on each axis are:p2p x = 0.0566gp2p y = 0.0634gp2p z = 0.1215gThese seem to be quite excessive detected movements; and assumed it was the noise floor (!!!) of the device. A bit of digging on these forums suggested enabling the LPF2; which I did, at ODR/100. The results improved, to:p2p x = 0.0151gp2p y = 0.0122gp2p z = 0.0166gBut these too still appear quite large given the completely static nature of the device.Are these results to be expected? Hi, I have own design with Teseo GNSS LV3R module. It is connected to STM32L071. After power up I just set Reset pin to low for 10 ms and then I keep it in high level. Unfortunatelly even after 3 hours under open air ( without clouds and nearby buildings) I still can no read any gps position. The NMEA messages goes but they are almost empty...My design is inclosed. Did I missed anything? What could I make wrong?I tried it with and without the LNA - the result was same.Thank you very much for advices.Jan.

There are a lot of motion libraries in X-CUBE MEMS-1. If I need to integrate a ****-meter, free-fall, intensity detection, tilt detection codes with BlueNRG-2 (Cortex-M0) along with Bluetooth stack, is that possible?

I am using a PIC32MX250F128B . I am trying to communicate with LIS3DH through SPI connection. I have several other devices like ADC, DAC working with SPI protocol perfectly fine. However the Accelerometer does not. With the scope my CS, Clock and SDA matches the diagram from datasheet (its sending the correct address of WHO_AM_I register ) but SDO output remains silent. Cant see anything coming out of accelerometer. I am trying to get the who_am_i register value but the output i am getting is zero. I have attached a scoped picture of my SPI. I have tried rest of the 3 mode other than the mode mentioned in the datasheet. Any suggestions or solution from the community would be much appreciated. I have gone through several posts with the same problem but with no solution. I hope I can get one. N.B: All my connections are perfectly fine and other SPI connections are also working fine (ADC, DAC). I've also purchased several breakout

Hi everyone,I have run into some problems reading any data from the AIS2DW12 and I would like to know if anyone has had the same issue. I can read the Device ID through I2C but I am not able to read acceleration or temperature data. So my question is if by default everything is connected as should be using i2c mode(CS pin SET to vcc), should the accelerometer generate acceleration readings? I am reading the DRDY flag and its reading 0. All my acceleration registers are reading 0.

Hi All,has someone already connected this demo board with the Unicleo-GUI?The code runs in debug, I can get data out on a console, but the GUI would never regognise/find my board... :anxious_face_with_sweat: .The IDE is STM32CubeIDE running on Win7, and the code has been generated from the Cube interface when setting up the project.All available additionnal Software has been included (Board extension, Device Application- DataLog and all the motion libraries.).Thank you for your help.:thumbs_up:

Hello We are working with accelerometer LIS2DW12.according to the diagram in the data sheet. if the accelerometer is in this state, will we see the zl \ zh orientation bit raised? 

I've added motionFX to my project, which is an STM32F446, and i2c attached LSM6DSOX. I can read/write to the IMU using traditional methods (I2c) but I wanted to utilize the motionFX library, and when I initialize, the debugger hangs at the initialize function.I did read that CRC needed to be enabled, so I went back into the CubeMX project and enabled CRC. But alas, still hangs.

Hello everyone,I am looking for the best IMU to use for a robotics project and I cannot decide which iNEMO is better.If I compare ASM330LHH, ISM330DHCX, ISM330DLC, LSM6DSRX it's hard to tell which one will perform better.I am looking for the one that have the best performance (gyro+accel )in term of stabilisation and thermal drift and does not need to be recalibrated often. Power consumption, price, package, industrial/automotive rating and feature such as NN/Machine learning does not matter, I will mainly use the raw data and do the filtering on an external processing unit.I did not find any comparaison between all of them, let me know if you any info that could help.Thank you

The output data is not 0x3D(default) but 0xFF. I don't know the reason. Does that affect anything?2.Then, I write data CTRL_REG2_SOFT_RST(0x04) to CTRL_REG2 to reset the register. The output data from CTRL_REG2 to CTRL_REG5 are the same as the default data. ButI wonder why the output data from CTRL_REG1 is 0x18 (default data is 0x10).
