Hi, I've got a STEVAL-MKI173V1 board hooked up to my uC. I ported over the driver from:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/tree/master/lsm303agr_STdC I'm able to read valid magnetometer values but almost always get 0's from the accelerometer. LSM6DSO Application Note, page 67: The value is expressed as a 16-bit word in two’s complement.Question: is this a SIGNED or UNSIGNED value?

I would like, just to test, to carry out a general calibration of the sensor using a cover glass. Have you developed or is there a general sensor calibration sequence program?A general calibration, in the order, concerning: SPADS -> XTalk -> Offset (created by XTalk)Is a SPADS calibration really useful for the efficiency of the sensor?When I execute the "VL53L1_PerformRefSpadManagement ()" function, the sensor subsequently returns false values (Status: 255) and I must therefore perform a complete reboot.In the following program, what is really useful or unnecessary?Knowing that this desired calibration will be done without test precautions (impossibility of placing a target at 140mm or 600mm in the dark etc ...)I need more details, thank you!LMvoid cali

Hi,I am designing a PCB board and use LIS2DH12/LIS3DH to wake up the processor. I will use I2C mode (CS pin should be connected to high) and SA0 pad connected to voltage supply (vdd) to get the device address as 0011001b. I see CS is at input high impedance status and SA0 is at internal pull-up status. I found a Sparkfun example and it connected CS pin to voltage supply via a 10k resistor, as well as SA0 pin. May I connect CS pin and SDO/SA0 pin together to the VDD via a 10k resistor as shown below?

Hi everybody,I use the motionFX with accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer (9X sensor fusion) but I have a problem using the magnetometer calibration.I proceed as mentioned in the documentation of motionFX library:Call MotionFX_MagCal_initCall MotionFX_MagCal_run and MotionFX_MagCal_getParams in a loop until I get MFX_MAGCALGOOD qualitySome remarks:the magnetometer is very closed of dc motors, so there is very important hard iron bias.during the calibration, I do a 360 turn back and forth, on each axis. But most of the time, the calibration status doesn't change.Sometimes, it is impossible to get a MFX_MAGCALGOOD quality, I only get MFX_MAGCALUNKNOWN.I have a few questions:how MotionFX_MagCal_init and MotionFX_MagCal_run work? After how much time and after how many samples can we expect to have good calibration results?is there any rest

Is it really possible to configure H3LIS331DL to fire an interrupt (a pulse) for each DataReady ?I've never succeded in doing that, It seems to be always mandatory to read Acceleration to "release" the interrupt line, hence being able to have a new interrupt.Please any idea welcome, as geting one pulse for each new data independently of the fact of reading the data would be necessary in case some interrupts ae lost on the host device.Please Help

I have a simple setup of (Arduino) nRF52840 Feather Express connected to steval-mkiv1-184872 -evaluation board. I was going to use it via I2C bus, and followed the connection diagram almost to last letter.   I connected SDA/SCL to feather   I connected VDD and VDDIO to VCC (3.3V)   I connected GND to feather GND   I connected SA0 to GNDThen I write more verbally my steps:I wrote simple Arduino program, to open I2C (Wire -library). The program reads WHO_AM_I successfully. Next step, I added 8bit temperature reading, again successfully get result 0 -- which means +25'C. Also WHO_AM_I is printing ok.This far everything seems to be ok.I got more curious; I try to read long temperature (registers OUT_T_L and OUT_T_H) and combining them to float temperature. I have lsm6dso sensor. I am using fsm interrupt for different events. I have 3 programs in fsm. When the event detected, interrupt comes.I gave three fsm program to same interrupt pin. But I want to know which fsm interrupt detected .When I read the register as given in example , fsm1, fsm2 and fsm3 stays zero. Is there another way to know know which fsm has been detected ?This method is not working. Hello,In the data sheet of the sensor (https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stts22h.pdf), it's mentioned that to set the Address we need to connect the ADDR pin whether to VDD (to have the address 0111000) or to GND (to have the address 0111111), these only two address are mentioned as the only possibilities But in the Evaluation Board documentation (https://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/steval-mki200v1k.pdf), the ADDR pin is pulled up to VDD by a resistor, and four values of the resistor are mentioned to select one of four different addresses .can you please clarify which is the right way to set the I2C address?thanks in advance

I have lsm6dso imu sensor, I can add high pass filter or slope filter for wake-up interrupt.Is it possible to add filter to fsm interrupt ?

Any ideas on why the timestamp gets reset in FIFO after 0xFFFF? I have TIMESTAMP_EN bit of theCTRL10_C register set to 1 and the DEC_TS_BATCH_[1:0] bits of the FIFO_CTRL4 are set to 01 (max(BDR_XL[Hz],BDR_GY[Hz]) [Hz]).

Greetings.I am using the VL53L1CB and I am seeing it report valid range data when it shouldn’t.I place a target in front of the VL53L1CB and it reports the distance to the target without any problems. However, when I remove the target and the VL53L1CB points off into an out-of-range distance, it will continue to report the same value for a while before it decides that it can no longer acquire the range (i.e. rangeData.RangeStatus is still reporting success after the target is removed).This duration of this behavior seems to be dependent on what is behind the target.Is there a way to always immediately report when the target has been removed?Thank youScott WildThis is the data I'm seeing. Hello, I am still new to accelerometers, and I am trying to understand the logique of how to decode the raw data using the sensitivity.In the datasheet of the LIS2DH12 accelerometer, in page 10: Mechanical characteristics, the unit of the sensitivity is (mg/digit), isn't it supposed to be the inverse ? (digit/mg) Because when I used another accelerometer (LIS3DSH), the granularity (or the scale) of the sensitivity is less than 1 with a unit of (mg/digit).For example, if I take the FS bit set to 10, High-resolution mode case (Measurement range = 8) from the LIS2DH12, whi

I am trying to replace BME280 with this MEMS sensor from ST LPS225HB. The chips are pin to pin compatible except INT_DRDY pin. I dont want to know when the data is ready because my f/w takes care of data update periodically. Usually my application doesn't see too much change in pressure and temperature measurement. Kindly let me know what will happen if the pin is directly shorted to ground. Will it damage the chip?

Hi,I use 4 VL53L1X sensor with an arduino and ULD API. I set the address on 0x31, 0x33, 0x35 and 0x37..I try to prevent a critical case which appear when one or more device are lost (timeout or hardware disconnection).To do so, I intercept the lost of the device(s) and I reset all the address of the TOF without rebooting the Arduino with exactly the same process that was working during the first init of the ToF. But I just can see 1 device set on the address (0x29).I have tried to restart the I2C bus with this Someone could please let me know what to do to succeed ?Regards,Olivier.

Hey, I'm trying to get some temperature readings from LM35 sensor and I'm using "blue pill" for this little project and of course ADC. The problem is that I am getting wrong readings, approximately half of the real value. Any ideas why it doesn't work on this mcu?

Can i use 2 VL53l5 sensors on single I2C bus ? Is it have support for configurable I2C address ?

Hi,I am wondering if someone can help me. I am working with the X-Nucleo-53L1A1 board and I am using the STSW-IMG010 people counting example. In this example the 2 8*16 zones get defined using a center value of 167 and 231 repectively (using the SetROICenter function in the Ultra Lite Driver). I am wondering where do these values come from? I know it is a 16*16 SPAD grid meaning that there are 256 SPAD in total, so I thought that it would be just referring the grid number starting from 0 going left to right all the way up to 255. But when I look at these values (167 and 231) this doesn't make sense for 8*16 zones.The reason why I am asking is I would like know how to change the orientation of the zones, so for this example you move from left to right to moves zone. In my case I would like the zone to be defined by moving my from top to bottom of the sensor. The diagram attached shows what I mean.Thank you for your help,Ashley F
