I understand the VL53L3 can detect multiple objects, and I think it puts ToF information into different buckets. Where can I find more information about this? app notes, register set, driver software, evaluation code? So far I can only see the data sheet DS13204 which does not have this information.

We are running the sensor at 3V but the I2C is 1.8V. Does this mean the XSHUT is also 1.8V referenced. Does the XSHUT pull-up go to 3V or 1.8V?ThanksLeon

Hello SThere am using STEVAL-MKI160V1 in which LSM6DS3 is placed and an trying communicate with it over SPI.Physical connections:CS- CSSCL- CLKSDA - SDO of mcSDO - SDI of mcVDD - 3.3VGND - GND SPI Configuration:SPI Freq- 1MHZSlave Select - Active lowClock Phase - Read on ODD edgeclock polarity - Active Highbit order - MSB firstAm sending command "0x8F00"(WHO AM I-0F) over MOSI line and am not able to see response "0x0069" instead am seeing 0x0B00/0x0F00/0x0000 etc.. which is not consistent, I believe all the responses are wrong. lis2mdl_reg.c has an error in the function int32_t lis2mdl_mag_user_offset_set(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, int16_t *val).The function incorrectly calculates the OFFSET_X_REG_H, OFFSET_Y_REG_H, and the OFFSET_Z_REG_H registers because it converts val[0] to an uint8_t before performing the calculation. Hi, I am working on high precision position control with BLDC motors on my master thesis. I am trying to control the position with an encoder on the TI-C200 processors and It's ok for now. The control accuracy is 0.1 degree on the encoder but for my thesis, I need more precise control. I have decided to do this with high precision gyros but I am a little bit confused about this issue.  I need the control the position at least 200 micro radian accuracy, hence I need to get feedback at least 200 micro radians from the sensor but I am not sure that how can I choose the proper gyro for my application?In the gyro datasheets, there is nothing about the accuracy values. How can I choose the proper gyro for my application? Thank you for your help!

Hi,We are running a vibration analysis system based on the LSM6DS3. This is FIFO based, and everything works as expected. Application is accel only.However when enabling the high pass filter from the digital composite filter, all readings out of the FIFO are 0. Data is still provided at expected intervals. Clearly the data has values ABOVE filter.Should enabling the filtering not be as simple as writing the correct value to register CTRL8_XL?something like (0x17, 0b00100100). We tried configuring before starting accel (0x10) and / or fifo (0x0A). Same result.Many thanks for any input.brChristophe

Hi!I purchased X-NUCLEO-53L1A2 and tried to check the function.However it was impossible to connect VL53L1 breakout board through left and right connectors.Because there were not left and right connectors. I attached the picture. But about X-NUCLEO-53L1A1, there are left and right connectors.I'm wondering why there are not those connectors on X-NUCLEO-53L1A2.I would ask a ST market person.Thanks in advance

Hi.According to the DS of the LPS33W - the Reflow profile should be according to JEDEC J-STD-020 , with no actual determination of the profile.we had several boards assembled , and with very little force applied, the sensor disintegrated - the metal part from the plastic socket.I suspect it might be the reflow profile that weaken the glue and caused this disintegration.Is there a recommended profile for the LPS33W?We have used before that the STEVAL-MKI205V1 - which is the LPS33W EVB ,And had no such issue.The pic below is of an actual reflow performed on the boards.Thanks.

I've got something really screwy going on with the LSM6DSOX chip. I've got it hooked up in simple form using 4 wire SPI mode 0 and 3. I can talk to the chip just fine. Read and write no problem.The first problem is that I want to do a SW reset. Setting the SW_RESET bit in CTRL3 easy enough but the part a) never resets as far as I can tell and b) never clears that bit, ever. Until I write that as 0.The second problem is that I can't get the part to actually start taking accelerometer samples. Because I can't get the part to reset to factory via SW reset, I just wrote factory defaults to all the registers and set it that way. From there I used the following simplistic approach from an ST App Note: Write INT1_CTRL = 01h// Acc data-ready interrupt on INT1Write CTRL1_XL = 60h// Acc = 417 Hz (High-Performance mode)I never see any bits set in STATUS_REG from this or an INT1 signal of any kindWhat can

I am working with lsm6dso sensor for a watch. At the beginning, I am using ​the follwoing function to get steps in the register. I want to know under what condition will the sensor reset. Does the multithread affect its function?

I captured it when the device asked for the update but the file may have gotten corrupted. Loaded v3.41 using STLinkv2 and the sensortilebox now appears to be dead. The file I have is 726691 bytes and doesn't appear to work. Sensortile won't boot, no LEDs.thanks,tjm

I'm using a IIS328DQ on I2C buss (400KHz). I've got it set up at +-4g 100Hz samplingIt looks like it's doing it's thing correctly BUT for the z axis value. After the interrupt for data, I'm reading the XYZ outputs (MSB first order) and getting00 50 FE 90 21 10 With the thing sitting mostly flat. X and Y are plausible but Z is 0x2110 meaning that it's like numbers in the 8464 range or 15 bits FS. The datasheet isn't all that clear about how many bits this is, but I'm thinking this is supposed to be +- 11 bits (12 bits signed) FS. This number doesn't agree with the datasheet whereas the X and Y numbers are showing FS to be 11 bits (2048) at 1.05mg/bit correctly...What could this possibly be? Id' expect a solding problem to give me warped X and Y maybe but not Z at 4X what full scale is supposed to be....
