Hello, I apologize in advance for my long post, and ignorance when it comes to interpreting this linear accelerometer data. The only one I have used in the past gave me euler angles, and I had no problem calculating tilt from them. I am trying to periodically poll the IIS2DLPC for X Y and Z values, and then convert them to a tilt value. The evaluation board is just sitting on my desk not moving, so I thought that the values shouldn't be changing (at least not changing much), but every reading is different. I did some googling, and I see that linear accelerometers usually output euler angles or quaternions. I assumed the X Y and Z values were euler angles, but regardless of the unit of measurement, I still can't figure out why the values are changing every time I read them when the sensor is not moving at all. Could someone give me a little guidance on parsing the X Y and Z data output registers?Here are my re

All of the examples of usage that I have seen for the LSM6DSL have been with the STM32 Cortex-M3 and -M4 microcontrollers. I assume that is due to the library calculations that must be made in the support library for this accelerometer/gyro.Is it possible to use the LSM6DSL as just a simple wake-up interrupt for a Cortex-M0 (STM32L0) controller? I don't need to know, for example, whether a person is standing or walking or running; I just need to know they've moved (within some reasonable tolerance).

What exactly "MSL3 preconditioning" means?Does it mean the same as "baking"?This preconditioning corresponds with soldering, or all the time?How accuracy are affected by moisture?I understand that omitting the baking before soldering, will cause cracks in MEMS structure and degrade the accuracy.So baking guarantee that accuracy will be as the datasheet, just before baking and soldering.But what about later?Moisture will continue to degrade accuracy even far after soldering? (I mean only moisture, without temperature cycling)And baking will recovers accuracy?

How can i convert 12 bit raw value from 0x0D & 0x0E to degree celsius?

In STEVAL-IDP005V1 - Condition Monitoring, I have set FFT_SIZE_MAX as 2048. Instead of ISM330DLC, i am using Higher ODR Acceleration sensor. As FFT step size( Delta f) is directly proportional to ODR, i am unable to get lower FFT step size( Like 0.5Hz) for higher ODR values.

Your documentation refers to a baby crying sample app, but when I try to create a new app in the BLE Sensor Android app, there are no example projects for the microphone or for the baby crying feature. Where can I find this app, and how can I upload it onto the device to try it out?Thanks for the help.

Hi,I am using Freedom K64F microcontroller, Kinetis Design Studio 3.2 IDE, and MQX4.2 RTOS for my project. I haven't been able to read a register correctly from the ais328dq accelerometer using SPI. I have verified with a logic analyzer that the clock pulses and the SPI transactions are correct (right commands, CS low, right wiring). But I still can't read a register or modify a register.Any idea how to troubleshoot it?Thanks.

Regarding steval-mki176v1 LSM6DS3H :1) What are the specs of the internal clock for the gyro if you were spec-ing it like a crystal? What is the drift and drift with temperature?2) Does it have an LED to show bus activity when querying the gyro or accel registers?Thank you. 

i m using LIS3dh accelerometer. Now i worked with 2g tilt sensor by using INT1.Now i want to add a feature like free fall by INT2.Is it possible to do both on different interrupts?If its so plz share me the registers value.

I want to implement a MEMS microphone for a machine noise monitoring application. As first I want to do some tests. My idea is to solder wires to, for example, the 'Microphone coupon board based on the MP23ABS1 analog MEMS'. Then I want to hook it up to a datalogger device which has 0..10V analog inputs. My question is: is it possible to connect such an analog MEMS-microphone which has a 3.3V analog output, to a 0..10V input on my datalogger?

 I am using the industrial IIS2DH accelerometer in my vibration analysis product. I need only pure acceleration values in all directions. So at any state if the device is stable (or in constant speed), it should give (0.0,0.0,0.0) roughly.

My LIS3DH is not outputting any data, its displaying a value of 127, any idea why

Hi all,I'm trying to work with the LIS3DSH but i'm not getting any output data.I have verified the SPI is working, I can write to and read back numbers from the registers so I know they are getting set correctly. I'm using the initialisation code below. To get the angles I read from the output registers but they are always the same (all 0 apart from the Z MSB at 33). Hi,I'm sorry if i'm asking anyhting newbie. I want to use an STM32 MCU to build a voice recorde application. The data is acquired by a mic and stored in SD Car which connects via SPI with MCU. However, I've some doubts about my application.Since I need a sample rate like 40khz, due to the human voice spectra, are a MEM mic enough?Due to the high sample rate, I can transfer the raw data to SD without fullfill the MCU internal memory?Mems microphone will give me a great sound quality?Do you sugest me any references to read, since I'm very new with this topic?Any help would be apreciated,Best regards

Hi,Is it possible to disable the interrupt line? By default it is Default: push-pull output forced to GND but I would like to be able to make it floating to use the ucontroller gpio connected to INT1 for other purposes like UART TX.Thank you

I am using the industrial IIS2DH accelerometer in my vibration analysis product. In general what would be life time of this sensor in industrial environment where it is measuring the vibration of machinery with standard operating condiiton.

I have just received a P-NUCLEO-IKA02A1 with a NUCLEO-L053R8 kit. Having installed Nucleo-GUI, and expanded x-cube-ika02a1 files. When I reboot my windows 7 pc I can see a STLink virtual com port on COM34. BUT when I start Nucleo-GUI I can't find the NUCLEO-L053R8. what am I doing wrong?Yours Simon M.

Hi,The datasheet says the device is capable of SPI MODE 0 and 3, the default mode is 3. How does one change it to SPI MODE 0? Is it a hardware or software change?Thanks.

Hi,Does anybody know where I can find the instructions are for the buttons on the SensorTile box? I think I messed up the software of the device by pressing the buttons in random sequences and combinations. It worked when I experimented it for the first time out of the box, but later, the Android app no longer detects the device.How should I troubleshoot this? Is there a button sequence or function that resets the device?Thanks.
