Hi,I'm trying to get the heading direction from the compass of LSM303AGR, I'm getting the X,Y,Z data and configured the compass and the accelerometer.I just preform a atan2(y,x) function and not using any filtering or compensations. I wanted to see data that going around +-180 deg when spinning the compass and 180 deg different when i spin the compass to other direction. But i'm getting very strange reading and cant understand what is wrong.Looking for advice :\Attach the compass data, the Y,X raw from the compass (without the sensitivity adjustment) and the atan2 result.

Hi I´m working with LI2DTW12 acelerometer chip. I trying to configure the sensor to generate an interruption in the INT_1 when the device detect an aceleration in the Z axis. I have configure the device registers in the following way:uint8 array_registers_LIS2DTW12[]={0x20,0x25,0x23,0x34,0x35,0x3F};uint8 config_registers_LIS2DTW12[]={0x20,0xD0,0x20,0x04,0x60,0x22};But when the LIS2DTW12 generate the interruption on the INT_1 and I read the SATATUS register I saw 0x01. That mean that I have a data ready. And when I reas the WAKE_UP_STATUS register all the bits are 0. Could anybody help me with this matter?I not sure I have configured the registers in the correct way or how to read the interruption pin properly.Thank you for your time and help.

Hello,I have a question related to accuracy of this sensor see attachmentFrom the datasheet I can read that the accuracy over temperature is +/2.5hPa. Did I correctly understand that the accuracy of the sensor can change within this range only in this given range of temperatures 0-65C ? But in this case what is the reason to bake in the temperature compensation ?Second in order to reduce the variation you suggest to run OPC ( one time calibration ) to get better +/- 1hPa accuracy. Could you explain the procedure how this calibration should be done? Any suggestion...Third question is related to the long time stability which you stating is around +/-1hPa over year. In this case also do you have any recommendation how to address this changes ?Last observation: all this numbers are connected to 1.8V @ 25C Test conditions. So how this condition are connected with the specified ranges of the temp from 0C to 65C ? Second

From what I understand, the slave device I want to communicate with has many addressed registers than I need to specify in addition to the slave device's address. If the slave device's address is 0x16, and the registers I need to read on that device range from between 0x01 to 0x82, how do I select the specific registers?Example: HAL_SMBUS_Master_Transmit_IT(SMBUS_HandleTypeDef *hsmbus, uint16_t DevAddress, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t XferOptions)I only see room for the slave device's address, not any specific register?I am clearly missing something here, a quick sample of how to get the info from slave device 0x16 register 0x01 would be much appreciated.It should be noted that the battery monitor IC I am using is running off of SMBus 1.1, and it seems that the STM32L4 uses SMBus 2.0. HI,I've problems on the temperature detected by the LSM9DS1. I used the "Unico" software to configure the Acc/Gyro and the Magnetometer, in particular I used the "Easy configuration button".I read the temperature (Unico page Acc/Gyro Registers) from registers OUT_TEMP_L/OUT_TEMP_L and the values are:OUT_TEMP_L: around 3-7 (in hex)OUT_TEMP_H: always zero (it's ok)I'm in office and at the moment the temperature is around 24°C. The datasheet for the device does not state the order of the LPF filters in the stop band. Should I assume it's 20dB/Decade attenuation?Thanks.Anthony.

The HTS221 can handle condensation, according to the data sheet.According to that, I understand that water will not damage the sensor.(I refer to the sensing area on top, to the contacts on the bottom.)Is this correct?

I am attempting to evaluate the LSM6DSOX IMU using the combination of MKI109V3, MKI971V1, and Unico.This is the same combination shown in several of ST's YouTube videosAll of the products are new and have not previously been installed or used.I have installed the virtual com port drivers and the virtual comport is detected correctly. However, when I hold down button3 and reset in order to enter DFU mode as described in the user guide, My device does not show up under "USB Controller-> STM device In DFU Mode" as described. Instead, my eval board is showing up under "Universal Serial Bus Devices -> STM32 BOOTLOADER"

We are at the intermediate step towards the Pro Mode use of the ST.box tool.The developer uses a graphical app on his smartphone to:Define additional applications, like in lego bricks;Build his own application, without programming.But how to do it in a smart-enough way? It's returning ack on the i2c on every command , and i'm getting an error if it's not the correct address.I'm attaching image from the scope of the i2c commands and responses.The configuration done first and then I'm reading the temperature that it always zeros.Also when I'm reading the config registers I'm also getting zeros.Please advice. I've tried to use LIS2MDL with interrupts without success.What needs to be done, and does it work with continuous mode?It looks (by the data sheet) like enabling the DRDY (bit 0 in CFG_REG_C) would be enough, but seems not.It looks like DRDY is not an interrupt, although also tried setting INT_on_PIN in CFG_REG_C and IEN in INT_CTRL_REG, but no success.The thing works fine if I read it cyclically using a 100 ms timer.

Hi there,I managed to solder about 20 HTS221 on my custom board using a small oven, some boards have a correct temperature and humidity measurement, but others are out of luck.issue 1:temperature stuck around 35C, in my room at 24c, changes on the temperature on the sensor surface e.g putting a finger above it, makes it change few decimals above or below 35c issue 2:I noticed a huge inconsistency with the humidity reads, I am almost a constant 55% humidity, and some boards, read 41%, 80%, 99%, 130%, 1460%!!, why this inconsistency? I know after soldering I have to re-hydrate the sensor, but it has been at 25c and 56% humidity for almost 2 weeks, and still the same inconsistency.I am doing the soldering by myself using a small oven following the reflow profile below for a Clean Lead Free Low Temperature Solder Paste which melt around 141c

HelloI was asked to build a device which will determine if a box is in either of the three following states: perpendicular to ground, tilted forwards (10° or more), tilted backwards (10° or more). I am attaching a simple drawing for visualization of the three states.I was ordered to build 10000 of such devices that's why I want to make sure everything will work.My biggest concern is the drift. For example, based on the accelerometr values I calculate that the box is tilted forwards, let's say 15°. Will this value change over time? Will it drift towards 0° or stay at 15° for years?I'll be grateful for any help.

Hi,I noticed there is only one I2C slave address configuration for this device, that implies that I can only read one sensor on an I2C bus. But does anybody know if there is a trick or two to read two of the same sensor on the same I2C bus? Or do I have to go with the route of reading one on I2C and another on SPI? I'd really prefer the first option though.Thanks.

I am using an ST Micro MCU via SPI to the LIS3DSH to read x,y,z data(using CubeMX HAL). I can read in single byte mode fine but the multi byte access bit in Control register 6 has no effect. I have tried Control register 6 : ADD_INC disabled or enabled with no difference in behavior. I am using the V6180X Satel boards and occasionally when I power up the sensor it remains non-functional until I pull power, wait 20-30 seconds, and power back up. I've also noticed it sometimes happens when the sensor is moved while operational as well. Is there anyway to tell if this chip goes non-functional (other than the obvious reset power off of a timer)?

LSM6DSM loses its configuration when another chip in the board is turned on. SIMO pin goes up for 1.5ms when it happens, with a voltage of 2.2V even though the accelerometer is fed with a 2.8V supply voltage. I do not see a glitch below 1.8V which could explain the problem (if the accelerometer suffers a reset when the other chip is turned on) I only see a very small glitch which should definitely not corrupt the accelerometer.  When this happens, the INT1 pin goes to 0 in case it was already in 1, and the accelerometer starts answering FFFF instead of the actual data.Do you have any idea of what could be going on?Thank you.

I've implemented a new low power design using LIS3DH, and I had in mind to use ADC1 input to monitor the battery voltage and ADC3 to monitor temperature.I succeed to properly read all three accelerometers axis as well as temperature. On the ADC1 input if I connect directly a voltage controlled source I've got consistent measurment form about 0.8V up to 1.6V, but when I connect the resistor voltage divider (27MOhm pull up and 100MOhm pull down) with a divided voltage around 1.1V the measure clamp to -32768.I did'nt succeed to find any information about ADC1 inpu impedance, behaviour our any application note.The high impedance divider is setup to reduce standby current.Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,I want to configure the LIS3DH working with FIFO mode and OVERRUN interrupt on INT1. So, once the interrupt occur, MCU will read all data from FIFO. by reading the datasheet, I am a little bit confused for FIFO overrun behavior. On the page 22 of datasheet, in FIFO mode, it says:"An overrun interrupt can be enabled, I1_OVERRUN = '1' in the CTRL_REG3 (22h) register,in order to be raised when the FIFO stops collecting data. When the overrun interruptoccurs, the first data has been overwritten and the FIFO stops collecting data from the inputchannels."Does this mean that I lost the first data or I got first data wrong if I wait until overrun interrupt happened?If yes, What is correct way to detect FIFO full and read FIFO data without losing data ?Thanks,Jeffrey
