The HTS221 has an internal heater to "speed up the sensor recovery time in case of condensation".How do I identify a condensation state?How long the heater has to be activated, in order to recover from condensation state (I want to estimate power consumption)?

May I know what information will be read back from 0xc0 and 0xc1 from L53L1X?

I am IIS2DLPC accelerometer for Tilt Angle Measurement.I have done 6 Axis Calibration. I can able to measure the Tilt Angle less the 1 degree accuary.Is there any other way, I can measure less than 1 degree accuracy with out Calibration ??Note : Creating Perfect Calibration Setup to Expose 1g gravity on the Accelerometer axis is a overhead for us.Please Suggest any ST Accelermeter which can give 1 min accuracy with out calibration.

LIS3DH MEMS digital output motion sensor.Hi every body.I'm using this sensor in 'High-resolution mode'. but after some time (I define timeout = 10 seconds) without detect any motion, put the sensor in 'low-power mode'. if the sensor is moved before this 'timeout' (detect interrupt), change to 'High-resolution mode'.this works as expected, but, when the 'Low-power mode' is set (after timeout), the sensor is sending an unexpected interrupt, this is producing than my software detect the interrupt, so, is returning to 'High-resolution mode'.resume: every time the sensor is set to 'Low-power mode', it is returning an interrupt. the interrupt need to be just when the sensor detect motion.any help?thank you

Many ST mems sensors allow the user to select an I2C or SPI serial interface by controlling the chipsel (CS) pin.My question is: in case a sensor, used as an I2C slave, gets stuck waiting for the master to acknowledge the read operation, does toggling CS pin low effectively reset the slave I2C interface?Is it feasible as a workaround for this specific communication error?

I was going through datasheet of LSM9DS1 (DocID025715 Rev 3) at page# 30/72 according to table-20, the bit number 1 of slave address (SAD) depends on SA1 but I couldn't find what SA1 is any where in the document. While in page# 11/72 according to table-2 least significant bit of slave address of accelerometer/gyro and magnetometer depends on pins SDO_A/G and SDO_M respectively.

According to STMicroelectronics guide on github STMems_Android_Sensor_HAL_Input I'm unable to find device.mk file from <AOSP_DIR>/device/<vendor>/<board>/device.mk.Should i need to make this file at this location ?If yes then what are required to write in to this file for correct .so file generation?

VL53l0X / i2c problemTrying to use I2C to read vl53l0x, I fail to understand from the datasheet :1. what exactly are the indexes and what indexes I'm suppose to use when reading,2. We are working on a very low power device which requires a "wake up" interrupt utilizing a "cost effective" device. I have initially started looking at the LIS3DE which has two interrupt outputs.We essentially are in an active (VCC is on), with low power consumption waiting for the shock to occur. Once the shock occurs, we need to generate an interrupt to "wake up" the MCU.We need to have an interrupt occur at 100usecs after sensing the shock and generate the interrupt.Can you provide a recommendation which of your devices fits these requirements best?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. Hi everyone,I have a CC2640R2 Launchpad whose manufacturer is Texas Instruments. I want to connect my launchpad with the X-NUCLEO-6180XA1 Expansion Board through I2C. Is it possible to do or I must use an STM Board instead? I have been reading the documentation released by ST and it says it provides a portable API. I want higher data rate for magnetometer from LSM9DS1, specifically 100Hz.I found 'FAST_ODR' option in CTRL_REG1_M register but couldn't find any details such as side-effects or maximum ODR.Where can I find documents for the FAST_ODR? Or is it just in experimental stage? Is it ok to enable FAST_ODR to get data rate 100Hz?​

I'm trying to implement a self-test for the LSM6DSOX in Mode 1 (as in page 118 of AN5272 Rev 3). Could someone explain what the ST_X, ST_Y, ST_Z variables represent? Would Min(ST_X) be the minimum value of the 5 samples while self-test is enabled, or the minimum of all 10 samples taken? Also, I'm assuming that OUTX_, OUTY_, and OUTZ_ variables are the averages of the 5 samples for each NOST and ST case. Is that correct? If that is correct, then it looks like the pass/fail criteria is comparing the difference between NOST and ST averages to the minimum and maximum sample values. That math doesn't make sense to me. I'd appreciate some clarification - thanks!

I change the latency to 0x01(40ms) but the interrupts keep with a delay of 600ms(default) between each one. Is there any simulation software available for IMU sensors where can I attach the circuit of IMU IC sensor with the STM32 development board?

For example, IIS2MDC's sensitivity is 1.5mgauss/LSB. How much is the min angle change or position change can it measure? How much is the difference between 1.5mgauss/LSB and 1mgauss/LSB?

I use the example project X-CUBE-53L0A1. The problem is that this project hasn´t a device configuration tool. I first think it should be the eular angle in row, pitch and yaw. But it shows different from the calculation from acceleration. What the angle represent? I want to apply eular angle into quaternion. Can I directly use these angles?

When reading data from the FIFO too slow, FIFO FULL is reported in the status register 3Bh. This is fine and is expected. But if we are reading data from the FIFO as fast as necessary (based on number of samples stored in FIFO), after some time (30 to 180 minutes), reported number of samples is maximum or close to maximum and no information about FIFO being full is reported in the status register. FIFO also stops working, meaning no new samples are put into the FIFOIt should not be possible that the FIFO would be full between two readings (considering that all of the available buffer size is used, only gyro and accel data is used, sampling rate is set to 208 Hz for both, decimation is set to 1 for both). FIFO stops after approx 30 to 180 minutes. Why does the FIFO stop? Are we running it for too long? Should we reset it after few minutes (going to bypass mode and back to FIFO mode - we would really like to avoid resetting the FIFO and losing samples doing

Hello all, I'm using VL53L1X sensor through the light API.After the init procedure I can read the correct distance but I read the range status register = 9in the manual the only allowed range are: 0, 1, 2, 4, and 7Can someone explain what it means range status = 9 and how to fix it?BRAndrea
