Hi,The acceleration noise density for the LSM9DS1 chip is not specified in the data sheet. The sensor element seems perfect for my design, but since the intended application is highly noise sensitive I also need some information of the noise. Where can I find this? I see that the LIS3DSH accelerometer have a similar sensitivity with a noise density of 150 ug/sqrt(Hz). Is the noise of the LSM9DS1 chip in the same ballpark?Thanks!

I am trying to read raw acceleration data in different modes (low power, normal and high resolution). The datasheet says the acceleration data is obtained by concantenating the low and high bytes of each respective axis.How does one read the data when operating in low power mode? Do you still have to concentenate the data even though low power mode is only 8 bit?What does it mean by the acceleration data is left juistified?Examples will really be appreciated when answering these two questions.Thanks a million! :)

Hi there.We tried to get data from the LSM6DS3 at maximum speed but data rate of the sensor was always around 400Hz.Datasheet say 'LSM6DS3 supports up to 6.66kHz'. We have the LSM9DS1 installed in some sensors we have. We calibrate them all in the office before taking them out to measure magnetic data. When we go to analyze the data there appears to be an offset or drift in the magnetometer readings that can be up to about 0.01-0.5 Gauss. Is it normal to see changes in the magnetometer offsets over time or after transportation?

Hi, Sometimes, when the ST bit (Self-test enable) in CTRL_REG1 set to 1, it takes a very long time(several seconds) to wait the ZYXDA bit in STATUS_REG turns into1. Is it normal?

We are so frustrated right now, we have spent days reading the data sheets, which has many errors, and the app note 3308 which is random and sketchy at best, but we are stuck with this part on a production design and need to implement the most basic functions and it just will not work.We are simply trying to get coherent data out of this accelerometer, but the data fluctuates all over the place, we are unable to get it to generate a data ready or XYZ ready interrupt, tried every combination we could derive from the one app not and ds., interrupt never triggers. We went to polling the status register, it always stays at 0x00. I can read data from the X,Y,Z registers, but since we cannot do it coherently, we get random fluctuations in our data, we are running into a time limitation and need real assistance with this problem, please do just refer us back to the examples, they do not function.Here is our current configuration, setup for a motion

Hello, ST community!Recently I got a custom board from my customer to help with creating the lsm303agr driver.What I'm struggling with is the temperature sensor reading. No matter what I do, the sensor returns 0x0 0x81Here is a dump from lsm303agr ACC registers prior to reading sensor data. # Log format: [%register_address%] -> %register_value%   acc: [0x7] -> 0xff acc: [0xf] -> 0x33 acc: [0x1f] -> 0xc0 acc: [0x20] -> 0x47 acc: [0x21] -> 0x0 acc: [0x22] -> 0x0 acc: [0x23] -> 0x90 acc: [0x24] -> 0x0 acc: [0x25] -> 0x0 acc: [0x27] -> 0xff acc: [0x3e] -> 0x0 acc: [0x3f] -> 0x0 acc: [0x25] -> 0x0So three requirements are met, according to log:TEMP_CFG_REG_A (0x1f) register bits are set (check: 0xc0 != 0)CTRL_REG4_A (0x23) BDU bit (0x80) is set (check: 0x90 | 0x80 != 0)Both registers are read in the same time.

The generated code may contain hundreds of occurrences of custom*, CUSTOM* and some custom file+folder names. Renaming this afterwards is cumbersome, even when using tools. Moreover, this has to be done after each code re-generation. Are there means to enter the name of the board already in CubeMX?Frank

I have an STM Blue Tile and I want to send the data picked up by the microphone over BLE at a rate of 16KByte/second without using the Codec. The out of box code in BLE_SensorDemo seems to pick up the audio using MEMS microphone at a rate of 8KByte/s, encode that using a codec, then send the data over BLE at a rate of around 4KByte/s. The MTU size of the audio Char value in the GATT Database is 20 Bytes. If I want to send data at a faster rate (16KByte/s instead of 4KByte/s), I'm assuming I'd need to increase the MTU size. When I try to increase the MTU size in gatt_db.c and bluevoice_adpcm_bnrg1.c (in the send data function), the entire notification system for BLE seems to break. Is there a place in the code where I can increase MTU size from 20 to a larger number?Thanks very much for the help.

Hello,I am using ST-Sensortile dev kit and BlueNRG stack. I have to achieve @100Hz rate sending notification from sensortile to cell phone app based BLE central. I am using aci_gatt_update_char_value() api to send notification for live streaming of accl/gyro data. To achieve it have changed the HCI_DEFAULT_TIMEOUT_MS define from 1000ms to 10 ms. But now I noticed that aci_gatt_update_char_value() is failing to send notification due to insufficient resources. I also changes the TIMEOUT_DURATION to get response fast if aci_gatt_update_char_value() fails to send notification. I am planning to use the LIS2DE12 accelerometer in a product and would like to know the polarity of the interrupt pins. On page 20 the datasheet states, that the default state of the interrupt pins is 'forced to GND' with a push-pull output.So that means an active interrupt is signaled with a rising edge and a high level, right?I really appreciate any help!Best regards,David

I am using two LPS22HB on one board to measure two pressures. In about half of the boards, both sensors work wonderfully. In the other half boards, one of two sensors operates perfectly normally but the other sensor reports barometric pressure and temperature readings in the 52XXXPa and 7C ranges (for office environments at roughly 300m above sea level these normally are 97XXXPa and 25C .)On boards with failing sensors, the sensor that works *always* works, the sensor that fails *always* fails (so if the sensors were labeled sensor A and sensor B, on some boards sensor A has failed and on other boards sensor B has failed.)The bad sensors communicate fine but report data that seems to be scaled incorrectly. They report this data continuously (not intermittently).  If you never examine the data they return, the sensors appear to be functioning normally. This operation is consistent regardless of various configuration changes such as da

Hi allI am currently trying to integrate the VL53L0X sensor to a STM32F33R8 using CubeMX and KEIL, but I haven't had the best of luck...I am inexperienced regarding the integration of sensors and I2C.I have watched countless videos integrating different I2C devices to an STM using KEIL and CubeMX.I have tried replicating Arduino library codes for this sensor, but I fail to understand what is accomplished by each function.I have downloaded the API and API user manual. I have read the datasheet for the VL53L0X which only seems to provide me with two addresses for reading and writing (0x52 and 0x53). I want to measure the rpm of bldc motor, so by using hall sensor (H.S) output we can capture the frequency. With help of Hall sensor frequency and num of motor poles, we can able to measure the RPM.
