I am using LIS3DH accemelator to acuqire gravity data. The MCU is NXP MKL16. LIS3DH's pin8 CS is set to high level to communicate with I2C protocol, and pin7 SA0 is set to connect to GND. The SCL and SDA pins are pull up with 4.7K resisttors. After setting the MCU's I2C port with 50KHz communication speed, and try to read WHO_AM_I register of LIS3DH, the value return is 0XFF, which is not correspond with 0X33. Then I use an oscilloscope the capture the signals on Lis3DH SCL and SDA pins. The signals can be seen from the picture. It seems that the acknowledge is not received at the 9th clock pulse, which is conflict with the LIS3DH's datasheet. I have spent plenty time to make LIS3DH to work correctly, but in vain. ​Do

Using LSM6DSM and LSM6DSOX in Mode 2 with LIS2MDL and LPS22HB slaves. Can toggle between passthru and master modes to idle slave sensors to cut power with the LSM6DSM. But with LSM6DSOX I see ~2.5 mA pulse at ~4 second intervals due to LIS2MDL.LIS2MDL INT connects to LSM6DSX INT2 in the breakout design but LIS2MDL interrupt disabled. OK on the LSM6DSM but not LSM6DSOX.Sleep/wake detect with LSM6DSOX also works fine when slave sensors idled in passthru before master mode, but when LIS2MDL nit idle I see the same behavior. Image with square wave excursion is with the LIS2MDL active, LSP22HB in idle mode, and LSM6DSOX in low power accel only mode (gyro powered down) after no motion detect.Image with just sharp spikes is LIS2MDL power down and LSP22HB active with accel/gyro in same state.So, could LIS2MDL interrupt pin connected to INT2 cause this odd current excursion? Could it be something else?

I am trying to configure the LIS2DH12 to send free-fall interrupts but I have not been able to successfully see any interrupts. Here are the register values that I set:CTRL1(0x20) = 0x47 (ODR = 50hz, XYZ enabled)INT1_THS(0x32) = 0x40INT1_DUR(0x33) = 0x00INT1_CFG(0x30) = 0x95 (AOI, XYZ Low)CTRL5(0x24) = 0x08 (Latch INT1)CTRL3(0x22) = 0x40 (IA1 enabled)if i read the INT1_SRC register periodically I can see the register changing as I move the accelerometer but no interrupt signal is sent over the INT1 pin.I tried reconfiguring the INT1 pin from my microcontroller as an output to see if I can drive the pin, and when I try to drive it high it only goes up to 0.07V. Any ideas?

Hello, this should be a basic question but I am pretty new in this field. What are the core difference between a 3 and a 4 wir SPIe configuration for LSM6DSOX? Apart from electrical connection, is there any difference in Firmware design, capabilities etc ... ?

We're evaluating the LIS2DH (and -DE) for a very low-power project, and every uA is precious. We only need readings from one axis, so I am curious as to whether disabling the other two axes would result in power savings. I've tried measuring it here on my desk, but sadly, my multimeter isn't sufficiently accurate down in the single-digit-uA range.So my question is: does disabling one or more axes reduce the power consumption?

I've had intermittent success at flashing the firmware provided with the DK for the BlueNRG tile (STEVAL-BCN002V1) when attached to the host board. I can see the image file loading on to the device memory followed by a successful verify and sometimes the tile's blue light is on for pairing with the iPhone app. But lately the LED is solid green and doesn't seem to want to enable into BLE mode? I have two tiles and the device memory seems to match between the two and so i dare not touch the "good one". Any ideas as to what i'm doing or done wrong?Thanks

I have bought these two evaluation boards. The accelerometer and gyroscope work fine. The magnetometer settings in Unico do not change the magnetometer registers. Reading magnetometer registers returns ff at all times. If I have a logic grabber connected to the I/O pins of the sensor the board then Unico does not start properly (complains WHO_AM_I is wrong).I cannot read anything out of the magnetometer. Is this a known issue?

For my application I use the ToF VL53L1X.I need to measure the distance from 10cm to 1m in front on a plate surface.I have done some characterisations on a distance test bench indoor, and I have obtained good results.For my application I have to use the sensor outside, but I have observed that the value are noisier. And when I make the measurement in front of a sunlighted surface, distance was very bad and noisiness.So, can you help me to use the better parameters (Timing Budget, ROI, etc...) to improve accurancy of my measurement. In addition, have ou some solution to reduce the influence of the sunlight (optical lens, filter, other methodoly, etc...).Thank you in advance.

The guide/documentation provided talks mainly b/w the X-NUCLEO-GNSS sensor and a NUCLEO board while I am attempting to use the L475e-IoT Node. When interacting with the application on Tera Term, the menu from the example is displayed. However, when asking to display a "position" the screen displays: "Last position wasn't valid." Moreover, the documentation requests that your IoT Node should be connected to the Internet but when rebooting the IoT Node board it never looks for a WiFi spot to connect to rather it just goes straight into the GNSS application example.Any further directions, tips, or tutorials will be highly appreciated.

Hello, I've successfully initialized LIS3DHH on STEVAL_MKI180V1 board and been reading values from it. I've also enabled the interrupts but they always seem high (I've added a LED to the INT1 line). What I'd like to do is some threshold on movement, so the interrupt will only trigger if we're going faster than this threshold.Would the LIS3DHH provide this functionality or should I switch to LIS3DH instead?

Tecnical data seems the same. I can't see difference. Any idea ?

We are trying to use LPS22HH as a slave device in I3C protocol. We would like to know how to generate In Band Interrupt request from the slave device.The slave is expected to pull the SDA line low to interrupt the master for In-Band Interrupt (according to mipi I3C specifications). We would like to simulate the above condition using LPS22HH device. We observed from the LPS22HH datasheet that we can generate interrupt events using the below mechanisms(referred in the diagram). We have tried below interrupt types by setting various registers with different combinations to generate the below interrupts but we were not able to generate In-Band Interrupt (slave pulling SDA line low to interrupt master).Please

Hello,I am using steval-miki173v1 for testing LSM303AH.I have supplied this one by mistakes with 3.3v. And its working well, but not good idea sure.I have made the same mistakes on my customized PCB, supplied LSM303AH directly with 3.3 and this is does not work. I have remade the same schematic as recommended in the data sheet.Do i have to seen working well like on eval kit with 3.3v ?I am asking another question for my self, if there are other mistakes before correcting this one.Thank you,

I can write and read back all registers so everything seems to be fine with the SPI communications but I keep getting very odd readings on X, Y, and Z OUT registers. I'm following the simple setup in the application note, CTRL_REG4 = 0x67 and CTRL_REG3 = 0xC8.I've tried polling status for a change in XYZDA (bit 3) and the stat register for the DRDY bit (bit 0). I've even tried using the DRDY pin with the same results. When I leave any axis pointed down (or up) it will give me about 1g in all the directions but only for a short amount of time, then it randomly gives 0g for all axes. Sometimes I'll get 10 good readings and then some bad ones. Its like the reading cuts out and I get nothing. Could this be a solder issue if I can read and write all other registers consistently? Or did I overheat the chip during soldering and break the MEMS portion? This has happened with 3 separate chips. All pins are connected as suggested in the datasheet.

Just started out with stm MCUs . Using the STM32CUBE IDE I am not able to find the sensorTile.box for further configuration . Please help! . How do I develop applications using this board(STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1)??
