In the VL53L1X ultra lite driver, VL53L1X_SetROICenter and VL53L1X_GetROICenter treat the ROICenter as a single unsigned 8-bit number. Am I correct in assuming this is a SPAD count starting in the top left corner and progressing in a row fashion across the chip?If this is the case then why does VL53L1X_SetROI set the center to 199 for ROI over 10 rather than something closer to 127?

 I'm using stm32cubeIDE and I got nothing more than the STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.2.1's libraries (stm32l0xx_hal_i2c) to help me. I'm on the i2c1 interface on PB8 and PB9 ports. I think the problem is that I don't know how the flags works.

Hello everyone,I am trying to load an example .bin file obtained from 'Environmental_Monitoring', an example application present in 'en.stsw-bfa001v1' software package for STEVAL-BFA001V1B predictive maintenance kit. However when I connect the USB cable to the PC, the size of the USB drive is given to be only 32KB (of which only 20KB is free!) whereas the manuals claim the sensor board to have a 2MB flash memory available. I'm trying to capture audio data such that I could process it and create spectrograms. So far I'm able to create frequency domain graphs with my device using fast fourier transform. But my true goal would be to capture enough data to create wav files. Is this possible? If so could you guys give me an initial code base to work on? Since I'm not very familiar with all the lower level stuff at the moment. Hi ,i am trying to capture accelerometer data from LIS3DSH triaxial  sensor using NORDIC nrf5232 Soc.,  via i2c for a configuration of 1600 samples/sec. as it supports two slave address 1D & 1E .when i configure for 1d and capture data is not coming  properly like 0 data or some constant data , but if i configure the same for 1e data is properly coming , only problem being 0 at some sample set. nrf52832 is set for 400 k clock , when seen in logic analyzer while capturing i am getting 200K and also in oscilloscope, i have asked the issue with Nordic as well , they say code wise everything is fine with respect to code , also without  connecting to slave clock generated is also 400K.so help me with this issue , how to overcome.Thank you

Good morning, I have been having an issue bringing up the STEVAL-MKI109V2 with the STEVAL-MKI151V1 board. By following the user manual I open up Putty after plugging the device into my PC however the serial interface seems to be unresponsive. I followed the steps in the user manual and made sure the driver is installed. The device manager recognizes the board. In addition, the jumpers all seem to be hooked up in their configuration. Any ideas as to why serial communication is unresponsive? I set up putty to 115200 Baudrate, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and not parity bits or flow control. I am also running windows 10.

I am attempting to get a double click interupt working on the LIS3DH. I have been using the INT1 pin for regular threshold interrupt but have another application which requires the click interrupt. So far, after playing with many thresholds and timing - I cannot get any combination to actually register a click/double clock. Can anyone who has succuesfully gotten doubleclick to work please share there configuration. (Even adafruit library seems ineffective)

Hello all,Our company is trying to switch from BMI160 to LSM6DSL due to it low power nature.For our product, accurate time representation in the level of ms is important.However, when we were experimenting with LSM6DSL, we experienced that when we are sampling data, it doesn't represent the sampling we set.For example, if we set it to 416Hz, we get around 419hz.We would have to do more experiements but we also see different sampling rates as well(419, 425,423,etc)Is there something that we are not understanding or is this a given characteristic of this sensor?Thanks in advance.

Hello.I followed AN3308 (LIS3DH witch is similar to sensor in topic) configuration of wake-up interrupt with HP filter with some modifications (CTRL_REG1=5Fh).My interrupt handler reads INT1_SRC, disables INT1 pin interrupts (CTRL_REG3 = 0) and sets the sensor in Power-down mode.In main loop (after some delay) IA1 interrupt on INT1 pin is enabled (CTRL_REG3 = 40h) and sensor is configured to normal ODR (100 Hz).After running the code and single shake of the sensor the interrupt is generated and cleared.But after the delay and enabling the sensor again, another interrupt is generated.This leads to infinite generation of interrupts, yet the sensor is not moved.I noticed also that after microcontroller reset (and re-initialisation of the sensor) a single interrupt is also generated (but then my code ignores it).If in interrupt handle I set minimum ODR instead of Power-down, it works better. I generate the code for my B-L475E-IOT01A board. That board works well, e.g. with HeartRate sample from STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.14.0. But, I want to generate BLE code using STM32CubeMX. I choose my board type, check Wireless BlueNRG-MS and Wireless Application under Additional Software. I choose SensorDemoBLESensor, HCI_TL Basic and HCI_TL_INTERFACE User Board and generate the code for SW4STM32.When I build, I get errors compiling b_l475e_iot01a_bus.c because of undefined symbols INTERNAL_SPI3_..._Pin, so I manually include main.h. I checked the video posted. And I can use most functions of the video said. While I can't find the way to change the mode into magnetometer. In video, it just directly changed to that mode and didn't mention the method.

Hi,I am using a VL53l0X sensor with a Pyboard (version 1.1), and as a value for the distance detected I get always the same (8191mm), even varying the position of the object put in front of the detector. Has anyone had the same or similar problem? Any suggestion on where to start from?Thank you

Hello,I have two LSM303AH sensors, both of them give different value of magnetic field (sqrt(x² + y² + z²) ) when they exposed on the same situation, the first one is around 100 the second one is around 200 .What is the wrong with this behavior ? one of them is broken ? Can i diagnosis this with self-tests ? The LSM303AHs are based on STEVAL-MKI173V1.Regards

We are using the LSM6DSL chip in SPI mode with the FIFO_CTRL5 and the CTRL1_XL registers set to 26Hz.The gyro is not used. CTRL6_C's XL_HM_MODE is set to '1' to disable high performance mode.When we are not using the LSM6DSL we set both the FIFO_CTRL5 and the CTRL1_XL registers to zero to go into power down mode. When in power down mode our board consumes about 60ua. When we set FIFO_CTRL5 = 0x16 CTRL1_XL=0x20 (CTRL6_C=0x18 is not changed) the board consumes 240ua.What could be our problem?

I interfaced LSM9DS1 with TI micrcontroller TMS320F28035 with I2C protocol. The LSM9DS1 is SDO_A/G pin is pulled low, so that it can be addressed with 0x6A. But what I observe is..Whenever I power the board up, it does not respond with 0x6A and responds only with 0x6B. It responds with 0x6B only for sometime after power up and stops responding. Now, it starts responding with 0x6A only and does not respond for 0x6B until it is power cycled again.I don't understand why does the MEMS respond with a different address 0x6B everytime I power it up in the first place.Can anyone help me with why is this behavior of MEMS being observed?

I'm using a LIS2HH12 accelerometer. I have discovered that when setting a threshold value, the negative threshold is half of what I expect. For instance, writing 0x01 to a threshold register I expect the threshold to be 8mg. This is true for positive values, but for negative values the threshold is 4mg.Have anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something here?
