Hi,Does the iNEMO sensor fusion tool work with accelerometers with larger than +-16g output

My Requirement:I want to get the data if there is a angle change more than 5 degrees in any direction(X , Y , Z)  and it should work for very slow movements or linear or constant movements. Will this sensor works as per my requirement or not. Please suggest me suitable one if it is not. Thanks in advance. Sensor : IIS328DQ (accelerometer) 

LIS2DH12, Zero-g level offset is 40mg at FS bit set to '00'.When using the FS bit set to '11' and Normal resolution mode, what value is it?40mg * 12 = 480mg ?or40mg * 48 = 1920mg?

Hi,i am trying to use the MotionFX library on M0 MCU for LSM9DS1. As result i read the rotation_9X structure and use yaw as heading for compass result. The result showing the rotation but i see the offset on the Z axis of the gyro and the heading result changing according to this offset (i hold the PCB in one position but angle changing).I was analyzing the library and found that the MotionFX implementation for M3 has an additional field: heading_9X. What is the difference between rotation and heading? If heading is the rotation around Z, why this field is an array?Is it correct to use rotation9X as the compass output on the M0 implementation?Thx

The datasheet gives an "output data rate" for this sensor of 5.3kHz. What are the units on this, bits, bytes, 16-bit per-axis words, or for each complete set of 3 X, Y & Z data samples? Is this the output of internal sampling, the fifo fill rate (units), or the I2/C SPI external interface. What I'm trying to understand is how long it takes to fill the FIFO, and when full how long does the controller have to fetch the data before an overflow occurs.

Hi All,I can read successfully in burst mode "MS bit is set to '1'" the data from output registers X_L, X_H, Y_L,Y_H,Z_L and Z_H.But if i add temperature data TEMP_OUT_L, TEMP_OUT_H into read frame the temperature value is not read.Examples: Rx buffer after reading 9 bytes, start adress = 0x28 "OUT_X_L" dummy ; X_L ; X_H ; Y_L ; Y_H ; Z_L ; Z_H ; X_L ; X_H Rx buffer after reading 15 bytes, start adress = 0x28 "OUT_X_L" dummy ; X_L ; X_H ; Y_L ; Y_H ; Z_L ; Z_H ; X_L ; X_H ; Y_L ; Y_H ; Z_L ; Z_H ; X_L ; X_H It seems like auto-increment register address option work only for magnetometer data and when reached adress 0x2D "Z_H" then is reset to 0x28 X_L for next read.Could some one confirm this behavior. Or did I overlook something in datasheet ;)Have a nice day.

On about 15% of the boards in my latest production run I am able to access the accel/gyro registers over the I2C bus but cannot access the magnetometer registers. As a simple test I am trying to read the WHO_AM_I register (0x0F) for both. I get the correct response from the accel/gyro and do not get any response from the magnetometer. I'm confused because the same code is used for both sets of registers (and it is the same code that is on the 85% of the boards that work fine). The fact that I can access the accel/gyro registers tells me that the I2C bus between the MCU and the LSM9DS1 is working properly as well.I'd appreciate any insights anyone has on what to try or where to look to solve this problem.

 Will I get meaningful data if read the registers without any register modification or do I have to set the registers first. Sorry I'm very new to ST products and I would like to incorporate into my product.

Hello,I am trying to get the STEVAL-MKI109V3 upgraded to support the STEVAL-MKI179V1.When I first tried to use the 109V3, Unico said my firmware was out of date and needs to be updated to support the 179V1.So I used Dfuse to update the part. I am using the firmware file "ProfiMEMSToolV2.30.3.dfu" in C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\Unico\bin\dfuWhen I hit upload, I see erase and write and verify all succeed.Problem:After I exit DFU mode, the 109V3 still says it is at an old firmware version when I send the "*ver" command.

I try to use the LPS22HB as real pressure sensor (measure of force against the skin, but I almost didn't see any change. Only when press with big force I see the change.Does the name of barometer mean it can't sense pure pressure against its window?

If I want to test the LPS33HW and I already have the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2 motion MEMS place over STM32 Nucleo test by DataLogTerminal SW from X-CUBE-MEMS1 package.I see there is LPS33HW EV STEVAL-MKI183V1. But I didn't see any reference to use it on the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2 (also it look compatible in pins location), and no SW or user guide how to test them together.Is there any SW test for LPS33HW using the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2 over STM32 Nucleo?Is there any user guide show how to place it and which jumper to use when it attach to X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2 ?

I'm having a nightmare trying to get my LIS2DH to respond. SA0 is high, CS is high.It kind of responds to the right address (others get nothing), but data is all zeros.All I want to do is get XYZ data out, these are all zeros too!The I2C timing chart in the data sheet is wrong, they just duplicated the SPI one, so that's not a lot of help.Any ideas?

We are testing VL53L1X Time of Flight Sensor with STM32L072(B-L072z-Lrwan) controller. Within 200cm the range measured by sensor is accurate. After 200cm we are getting a lot of variation in the range is measured by the sensor. We have to change the object inclination and directions to get proper ranger after 200cm. Is there any changes required in the configuration of the sensor for the same.We are using the following settings for our measurements:Autonomous Ranging, Long Distance Mode, 140ms Timing Budget, 500ms Inter measurement period. Object we are using for measurement is a box with white surface and we are measuring in indoor environment.Is there any other configuration that needs to be done for accurate readings?

When I read any of the axis output registers with SPI (OUT_X_L etc), it appears the MISO line is held high after the read. This causes a sustained high power consumption on my CPU after the read. If I read any other register type after reading an output register, then the MISO line goes low again. How do I read the output registers without this side effect ? This happens for any of : single or block reads, fifo or no fifo config.

I am having a problem when initializing temperature sensor on LSM303AGR. To simplify everything for a test I am using direct commands. Writing 0xC0 to register 0x1F and then reading back register 0x1F results in 0x00 reply instead of 0xC0. Why is it behaving in this way? Writing and reading from another registers works fine.I don't need to measure temperature, but I want to have temperature compensation working. So I am also writing 1 to COMP_TEMP_EN. Hi :) i m using LSM6DSL accelometer . i My sensivity is -2g/+2g. I have 16 bit (65535 values ) . Well, when i take values, i have values as: 65,423- 64,912 - 16,076325 - 61,613 - 58448 I dont undestand this value. I think 16,076 is 1 g. And It's ok. But 65535 is 2 g ? i m supponing 65 635 is 2 g, 32 500 is 0 g , 0 is -2 g. It ' s correct ? My real values are not correct ? or correct ? How is the progession of values ?

For that purpose I took the Pololu Arduino library, rewrote the i2c part and everything worked fine. My problem with the Pololu librays is that they dont do a SPAD management and dont have a function for temperature calibration. Both functions are essential for me so i looked trough the ST API and copied the needed functions from there. Now I have the problem that the SPAD Management hangs when the single ref calibration is done with the function VL53L0X_perform_single_ref_calibration(). I read the register 0x13h and check if the value is 0x07h like it is done in the API with several function calls. But I only get 0x40h back as an Answer from the sensor. If i reset the controller and not the sensor in that moment the sensor dont even respond anymore. Only after a power reset the sensor responses so i think there is a problem in the initialization. Hello,I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and have the same problem that community member dconrad has already described very well. (see link).In addition, I noticed the following:When the GUI is runing, the red glowing double LED LD1 on the board, flashes every 0.5 seconds in green too, for a short time.Also, the text box in the GUI seems to change at regular intervals. But time is too short to read the text.Unfortunately at the moment I have no other PC to test on.Does anyone have an idea why this might be ?with best regardsMarkus

What is the input protection diode current handling capability? The intention is to include series resistance on the input to avoid damaging transient overdrive. +2.8V, -7V are the possible transient inputs to Vin and Vinb.

I see in the documents for the VL53L1X the SPAD grid is labeled out. Is this the same grid labeling for the L0X? How does this grid work? For instance, does it grow as the cone does with further measurements? Thanks
