Question

Got the following error when I tried to click on the .bat file generated by eDesignSuite. No value found for registry key: "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SIMetrixSchematic\shell\open with STMicroelectronics eDSim Electrical simulator\command"

Hello!

Could you give more details? Which design are you using? Can you share here the zip file you are downloading from eDesignSuite?

Thanks

Patrizia

Hi Patrizia,

Attached is the zip file, all I did was click on the eDSim bat file, and the cmd window popped up with that error message. Thanks.

We were able to start the simulation without problems. Which eDSim version do you have? Does it happen only for this bat file or even with other export?

It is the newest. I do have issues with python installation (wait for IT to approve), will that cause the issue?

If that value in the registry is empty, maybe the eDSim installation has been done and completed with a different user respect to that one you are using now to lauch the .bat file. Could you verify?

Hi @EHD ,

you should see something like this in your registry:

0693W00000Y9ciAQAR.png

With the reg key reporting something like this:

"C:\Program Files\eDSim-850\bin64\SIMetrix.exe" "%1"

Regards

Marco
