Posted on October 11, 2012 at 15:00I would like to use a VNH3SP30-E to control the rotation of a dc motor. No PWM. My question is about the inputs, INA, INB, ENA and ENB. Do I need pullup and/or series resistors for these inputs? Can I just tie the ENA and ENB to +5V? The inputs INA and INB will be either +5V or gnd.

Posted on October 09, 2012 at 10:59I have this problem with a ST10F269 mounted on an automotive ECU: the flash dump and programming go straightforward, even the programming with different software releases is OK.What I can't do is editing the data eeprom; my aim is to modify operating parameters, but if I change them, or even plain data such as the numbers of software / hardware release, or the programming date, the ECU will not re-start.I see there's a 17th byte at the end of each dump row, and think that's the matter, but if I cut and paste a whole row (the same locations) of a different release dump from another ECU, it won't work anyway, so it doesn't look a check on the content of a single row....I'm using ST10flasher.Thanks for your attention.

Posted on June 21, 2012 at 10:27Hi.. We are using STR912FAW44 and keil 3 as IDE. We are using TIM0 in OCM1 mode with OC1 interrupt enabled.We are using a counter inside the interrupt, Interrupt count time is 100 ms, we have to measure 900 seconds, so checking when counter will become 9000. If we clear interrupt status flag at the end of the ISR then no problem, but if  interrupt status flag is cleared in the beginning of the ISR, then interrupt time becomes exactly half, means counter reaches 9000 value in approx 4500 seconds. Any idea regarding this.???

Posted on December 07, 2011 at 22:48Okay, I've learned how to move code to Bank1, and it executes properly. After having some problems getting bank1 booting to work, we decided to instead try copying our firmware into an external Flash chip and validate it, then switch to code which is entirely in Bank1, to write from the external flash back into bank0. I first wrote and tested code to enable unused sectors in Bank1 and write/verify code; this works fine. Posted on June 04, 2012 at 16:19I'm implementing a half duplex communication on a STR912 mcu. My problem is the usual, to know when the last bit is transmitted in the last byte. This to know when to turn off the transmit enable to the RS485 driver. The enable signal is controlled with a separate IO-pin. I'm primarily trying to find an application note describing this. I've not even managed to find a reasonable complete description of the uart's functionality, just bits and pieces here and there. Anyone with info out there? Thanks in advance. TOK

Posted on April 12, 2012 at 01:32Hi everyone, I am new to the st10 tools. I am trying to create a simple tool to dump a hex file from an st10F269, and then later return it to the st10. I am using the st10flasher v2.02. I have the development kit that comes with C++ samples. I downloaded the Microsoft Visual Studio 11Beta and I can open the samples.dsp and build it successfully, but I cant get much farther. I was wondering if there is a better tool for building a simple GUI that a limited set of functionality that the ST10flasher tool has. Or any simple way to access the .dll file. Any suggestions are welcome.

After an input ICC-Mode at st7fox answers syncro-bit and allows to write a code in RAM, but after load of control command GO nothing occurs. Thanks.

Posted on January 04, 2012 at 10:12I use ST7MC1K2B6 to control a BLDC motor with sensorless . when I boost voltage to 200V, MCU is reset. I don't use LVD and WDG, I just use a POR(Power On Reset,20k/10uF). I change the RC parameter, but improvement is not obvious. How to identify the reset source? Is it beacause of EMC? If it is because of EMC, how can I solve this problem? #identify-the-reset-source-

Posted on December 22, 2011 at 07:08I used the SSP sample code and enable SSP0 without loopback. I still get the transmitted dummy data when I send it for receving. After I test the sample code,I found that the GPIO setting cause this effect. I used p2.2 & p2.3 as slave I2C. When I set p2.3 GPIO_IPInputConnected_Disable, the SSP0 will function normal but slave I2C will fail. When I set p2.3 GPIO_IPInputConnected_Enable, the slave I2C function normal but SSP0 receive dummy data I send for receiving. I need slave I2C and SSP0 both on STR9. Please tell me how to solve it. One of the routines which should be implemented, is RAM test routine via WalkPat test algorithm. I am using ST72F324BK6 CPU in my simulation as well as my PCB board. For walkpat test algorithm I need to know the RAM topology of mentioned CPU. I couldnt find it in documents which is available on your website. I will be appreciated if u can help me with needed information about RAM topology of mentioned CPU. Posted on December 01, 2011 at 05:56We are using the Micrel KSZ8863MLL Ethernet switch with the STR912. The KSZ8863 has some extended registers (called SMI), which are accessed the same as the MII Management interface except the Opcode is '00' and not either '10' or '01' in the MIIM frame format. Looking at the ENET_MIIA register on the STR912, there is no option to specify the Opcode, only Read or Write (I assume maps to '10' and '01' respectively). Is it possible to set an Opcode of '00'? The other option, is to bit-bash the SMI interface, but the MII_MDIO pin is not on a GPIO port. Can it be configured to behave like a normal output pin? If the above cannot be done, are there any options where I can implement the KSZ8863 SMI via the STR912 MII_MDIO and MII_MDC pins. [PCB already designed and being manufactured] regards, Mykola
