Hello,we are using the STM6600CS25DM6F in our Project. We have CSRD tied to a 1uF cap, so 10 seconds long press on PB and SR (PB and SR tied together) for a forced shutdown. We use a 5 sec hold to initiate a shutdown via our controller. Once the controller identifies the button press it completes some house keeping and removes PS hold which disables the 1.8V supply, this works fine. The STM6600 is powered from our 3.7V battery rail which is always present. The issue is when we try to use the Pushbutton to power back up. This is very inconsistent. We verified that 3.7V is present and that the PB /SR at the STM6600 is toggling correctly. The STM6600 just wont enable the EN pin. If we remove the battery and crowbar the 3.7V rail, discharging residual capacitance then this works some of the time. It just seems like the STM6600 is entering a strange state when PSHOLD is removed.  Thanks, John

i am using electromagnetic sensor which is 24volts. in that i only have the connections for power voltage(positive) and the signal. when i am trying to power it with my stm32f411re nucleo board i can see that the power isn't sufficient. so can i use a 24volts power supply to that and the negative to the stm32f411re nucleo board ground. so i was thinking the connections would be like,power supply positive to the sensor positive, signal to the stm32 nucleo board. power supply negative to the ground of the stm32 board.  would these connections make sense, or would it fry my board?is there any quick connections to power the sensor with 24volts. quickest answer is much appreciated. thank you in advance.

Hi , I am using an M95P08-I SPI EEPROM . And I can now write/erase/program the EEPROM successfully. But I tried reading the Safety register format (RDCR) and found that the Power-up flag (PUF) bit and the Erase flag (ERF) bit were 1.Aften  tried using the CLRSF instruction to clear the safe flag or the software reset instruction, but I reread the security register format  (the PUF bit and ERF bit) were still 1.PS : Status register don't make any protection bit , only make Write enable latch (WEL) bit to 1 .How should I deal with this problem ?? Thank you,

i am trying to receive DMX512 signal on my stm32F103 Board but initially i just wanted to see if the interrupt is working , but it did not , so i saw if there is any Framing error but the SR was 192 , which suggests that there is no errors in the frame that is an odd behaviour , i am sending the DMx data from esp32 which when connected to light is working fine that means there is nothing wrong with the sent dmx signal also using rs485 which and getting the data in usart3 of the stm microcontroller , i have set the baudrate to 250000 , 8 bits and 2 stop bits , i am new to stm and do know a lot about it , so please can u guys push me in the right approach path .

Hello everyone,I want to make an adc reading using STM32F103C8T6 but I am really confused. first of all, the sensor I will use is the hall effect open loop current sensor ‘L31S300S05FS’ model. this sensor has 4 pins VCC GND VOUT VREF from these pinsVCC= 5VGNDVREF IN OUT MODE = 2.5VThe VOUT pin gives an output voltage that I do not fully understand. Does it make sense to connect the VREF and VOUT pins at the output of the sensor directly to the ADC pins of the processor or do I need to use an OPAMP? If I need to use an opamp, please help me how to connect the VREF pin. thanks.

1) I spoke to a hard drive specialist and he said that the BIOS of 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs is recorded on these memory chips but I don't know what type of memory and retention timethe models:The 8pins (4 pins on each sides) with 25P05VP、25P10VP、25F512、25F1024、25F1024AN、SST25VF512、SST25VF010, etc. are the BIOS. 2) Are the firmware and Smart of 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs stored on another chip on the PCB? What type of chip?

Hi Sir/Ma'am,I have a question about the gate driver L6491 on the STEVAL-CTM009V1 board  Explanation: Currently, I am using the STEVAL-CTM009V1 evaluation kit for my motor control application. I have connected the necessary power supplies(48V and 12V) and all 4 RED LEDs are ON. I applied 6 PWMs and tested that I could see the PWMs at the input of the gate driver. but I am not receiving any output other than small spikes at the low sides output and LOW at high sides output.. Questions: what could be the reason behind this? As per my understanding, Is it a problem with the SD/OD pin?(see figure below from datasheet) Do I need to apply High input to this pin? if yes, how? And how much? Is it 3.3 V or 5 V? Or the problem is something else? Please also let me know if I need to take care of any other things while working with this board.Best regards,Nayan

I set the Faultmask bit to 1 with the following code snippet and then write 0x5A to an area outside of RAM and read it back.Since the Faultmask is set to 1, a HardFault does not occur, but the command line I have highlighted is also not being executed.The processor is not responding at all; I am executing these commands step by step in the debug menu or I want to pause the processor by setting a breakpointWhat could be the cause of the problem? I am using M24C08(1K), M24C16(2K) and M24C32(4K) along with this I am planning to use the M24C64(8K) eeprom.How can we differentiate the 4K and 8K eeprom using software. I have implemented a logic to read last page of the eeprom. Let's say I am having the 4 variants of the eeprom's with me. I have started a loop and start reading the last of 8k initally if it gets sucess then I will return the size directly or else I will move further to check same with the 4K.The above provided logic is working fine with 1K, 2K and 4K, but it is not working for the 4K and 8K. This is because the 4K eeprom MSB has 4 bit don't care. If try to read the address above the 4095 then it will read the data from the 4K eeprom itself.so my question is that if we have a hardware of two variants with 4K and 8K then how can we find the size by using the software. warm regardssurendra 

Hi everyone,Looking at the Datasheet (DS) of the temperature sensor LMx35, I found that the equation on page 6  is wrong, in the sense that the subindex and '=' symbol are missplaced, and there is no reference of what does each symbol means.https://www.st.com/en/mems-and-sensors/lm235.html#documentation I'm pointing this out since I wanted to use this DS with students.The right formula can be found in another DS from another manufacturerHope this can be corrected soon in the update of the sensor DS Thanks

Hi,I am new to the EEPROM and embedded.I am having M24M02-DWMN3TP/k EEPROM in my custom board with XCZU2CG Ultrascale Zynq MPSOC processor. This EEPROM is in i2c expander, here I am attaching schematic of EEPROM and i2c devices list on bus 0(I have enabled i2c-expander). I want to read Identification page registers using i2c-tools in linux.I think here it is excepting below format the sum of [Start + Device Select code with RW=0 + two address bytes] (without Stop condition, as shown in Figure 8)] and [Start condition + Device Select code with RW=1].I want to read 01h register of identification  page but I am not certain how to read using i2c-tools.Could you please help me with this. Thanks & regardsNavin

Hi ST Team,We're using the GPIO pin to turn on MOSFET for power supply. We've tested many PD apdater, almost all the single port adapters work properly with STUSB4500. But it doesn't work properly with Apple Dual Port Adapter, 35W A2676, If I set PDO to 12V, the PD negotiation seems failed. M24M01 parts, other than the wafer option, are currently NRND. We have a design that uses an M24M02 and want to add two M24M01s on the same bus. Is there a pin compatible replacement for this part with the same configurable I2C address capability, or do I have to look into options without pin compatibility?Thanks

hello, L9966 datasheet (§8.2) mentions a max total resistance measurement accuracy of 1.5% (if CALIB_SEL=1). It seems that such accuracy does not include external pull up RRx accuracy which should impact the overall measurement accuracy and therefore going above 1.5%, if I am not wrong. I am seeing that "no ratiometric comparator is running" (talking about VDD5REF I suppose). Please, how could I foresee the impact of RR1/RR2/RR3 accuracy on overall measurement accuracy? How could I get rid off the VDD5REF variations, maybe by enabling this ratiometric comparator, how to enable it? Thanks beforehand. 

Hello Everyone,Can anyone help me out !Currently, I am working with STW81200 RF Synthesizer Module by using the STM32 Controller. I have used STW81200GUI Tool for frequency generation. But I don't want to use the tool anymore. I want to write my own custom  library for frequency generation (50MHz-6GHz) .i.e., Custom Function to generate Ten 32-bit registers of frequency which is ranging from 50MHz t0 6GHz without using the Tool. But I don't know what are all the parameters to consider for frequency generation.
