Hello,We are facing COO issues with almost all STM32G4 and H5 MCUs. The website/invoice says COO is non china and when we actually get the products, the chip marking is CHN. When enquired, STMicro team bluntly emails saying CHN is not China. After 20 days of follow-up, they gave clarification saying the changes they are making to COO based on processes. We placed one more order after that assuming the clarification given. Now invoices have completely different COO compared to website COO mentioned. Our customs has raised a query regarding wrong declaration. How to solve this issue? Thank you!

I'm attempting to get started with the Morse Micro MM8018-EKH05 (STM32U585VIT6 controlled) and pair it with their HaloLink1 router.  I am following their MM8108-EKH05 used guide user guide section "5.2 Build and Run Example Applications." When we try to connect with STM32CubeIDE using ST-LINK, we get the following error:Failed to read ROM table via AP 3 Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: Unknown. Please check power and cabling to target.In our design, we did not use the SMPS configuration — instead, the MCU is powered in LDO mode. The VCAP pins are connected according to the LDO configuration, and the MCU supply voltage (VDD, VDDA) is at 3.3 V.Could this issue be related to using the LDO power configuration instead of SMPS? Hello fellow community members.I recently needed to find a method for the microcontroller on a board to detect which variant of a board it is installed on. In this particular case, the PCB comes in (for now) two different variants: One with all components mounted, and one with the bare minimum mounted. This is for cost saving on the less advanced devices.To simplify firmware uploading and updates, the firmware for the two variants is going to be the same. The firmware is to figure out by itself which board it is installed on, in order to handle the differences properly.I was running out of pins, and couldn't waste ADC inputs on this. Also, pulling one digital input pin high or low only gave me two possibilities, which might not be enough in the future. Hi,I’m using an STM32L412RB where the USB DM/DP lines are already configured as a Virtual COM Port (USB CDC device).Now I want to communicate with an RS485 bus without changing the existing board hardware.My idea is to build a small adapter board that connects the STM32 USB DM/DP pins to an external USB-to-RS485 converter (which has DM and DP lines).Is it possible to design such an adapter to convert the STM32’s USB VCP interface to RS485?Can the STM32 (configured as a USB device) send and receive RS485 data through this path:STM32 (USB CDC Device) → USB DM/DP → USB-to-RS485 Converter → RS485 BusAny guidance or reference designs would be helpful.Thanks,Sujith

I have selected the STM32H743ZIT6 MCU for our project. Our application requires storing 22-byte data for approximately 1.5 lakh entries in RAM. Based on our calculations, we need an external memory of at least 4 MB to 8 MB. The previously considered IS61WV102416BLL-10MLI SRAM does not meet our capacity requirements. Therefore, we require a larger SRAM or PSRAM module that is fully compatible with the STM32H743ZIT6 MCU, supports memory mapping, and can interface via QSPI or asynchronous SRAM. Please provide suitable part numbers and availability details for memory options that meet these specifications.

Hello!I'm using STM32F401 (Blackpill board).I made an experiment like this. I set my PC serial setup as 8n1 and UART6 serial setup as 8n2.And started communication between my PC and UART6.It was okay. Nothing went wrong. For both sides, tx and rx.Before this experiment, I expected two things.1. TX setup 8n2 and RX setup 8n1 will be okay. Because receiving side will detect start bit whatever the stopbit is .2. How does MCU receive from UART? If it is set as 8n2, can it receive the things transmitted as 8n1?I was not sure about 2nd problem. Can anyone teach me how STM32F401 receives UART things? I need to know whether the 2nd case is really vaild or not.Thank you.
