Hello,I am using system workbench to generate a project not using the HAL libraries, bare metal as they say. I have done quite well thus far although today's headache concerns the use of sprintf. It is crashing my processor (STM32L476RG). I can get it to work on STM32CubeIDE but I want to do my development in System Workbench which CubeIDE is based on. Hope someone can help mewith some advice. Casting between int32_t and float32_t also seem to present problems. I am missing something key here I suspect.

Hi,I am trying to emulate a EEPROM with my STM32F103 as a I2C slave. I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.0.2.The chip that will request data doesn't write data to the EEPROM, so I can use only an array to save the data in the code. And it cant have any code in the main, I'll implement another code there. Dear All,Board: Nucleo - H745ZI-QI want to store few bytes of non volatile memory, for which I learnt that I need to use EEPROM emulation code. I went through the code given as part of STM software in en.stm32cubeh7_v1-7-0\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.7.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q\Applications\EEPROM\EEPROM_Emulation\MDK-ARM . I find that there are several HAL calls made in the code. What I require is, to have a code without HAL calls that is in terms of low level drivers or register read/write. Till now I managed to not use HAL, would like to continue this way. Kindly help.

Hi,I'm using a STM32F4 Discovery board which has a STM32F407VG with a LIS3DSH accelerometer which is connected by SPI. I'm trying to read a register from the accelerometer and I tried writing the address of the register to SPI->DR. But SPI->DR shows an incorrect value in the System Viewer window and in the Memory window. I have attached a picture with the corresponding portions highlighted in yellow.But this code still gets the correct value from the accelerometer.Thanks

hi community,i am using STM32F743ZI board,in that i am performing the read,write and erase operation in the flash memory i am sucessfully doing the all operations.But i have some doubts:1)what is meant by write,read and erase cycles and how it is calculated please provided some basic example.2)if i will give starting address, to erase the some part of flash memory ,it will erase that part correctly.how well erase that part of memory when starting address is given.thank you

I'm using the STM32H747 and is interested in storing some variables containing configuration data even after reset.Is there a simple way of doing this?I basically would like to map a variable to be stored in SRAM or EEPROM instead of RAM.Best regardsJohan

Hello ,I am using Nucleo F334R8 on a mobile battery-powered robot and I want to save data from my Analog input in order to be able check these data offline (connect to PC via USB after every experiment).My data are floating points from AnalogIn class with max. sampling frequency 100 (or less) Hz and my experiments will last maximum 30 seconds.I tried connecting to PC after the experiment without removing battery source but even then when the platform connects with USB it resets .What are the possible solutions from my problem?I have read about EEPROM memory in Arduino platforms but in STM32 there is not .All solutions are welcome but I am first searching for the one without an external card if possible.Giannis

I would like to run my modified stm32f0x.cfg in system workbench.Basically just added to turn off PLL before programming it. Whenever I try to modify this stm32f0x.cfg and run debug session system workbench detect change in environment and overwrites my changes into file with default script from openOCD. I can not find where AC6 keeps openOCD zip file that uses to overwrite my changes.If you are asking why I am doing this , it is because stm32f071 must have pre-divider set to 2 when using internal rc oscilator. Default stm32f0x doesn't do this and system and produces wrong system clocks. I would propose changes into this script but before I need a way to test them.

some of the lines in debugging mode in the left column are highlighted in that lines only I can able to put a breakpoint.I assigned some instruction in non highlighted lines as well in that line  can't able to put a breakpoint.

Hi all,I have a custom board, MCU is STM32F103ZE, I want to debug from RAM but I don't konw how to set the truestudio.I konw how to do it in the KEIL, but for truestudio, I am a stranger.for example,I download the program A to mcu flash, it work well. Hello,We noticed different behavior between J-Trace and I-Jet.We use both with IAR.It started on trying to trace code with stm32h743 eval board. we purchased j-trace for this issue, but it failed to trace code. Trying to do the same with I-Jet it succeeded without any issues.The next thing we did is to move from eval board to our custom board.The strange thing is that with I-Jet it does not go beyondHAL_Init->HAL_InitTick->HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM6_DAC_IRQn);Immediately after thins function it gets continuous interrupts on TIM6, and does not get beyond HAL_Init.(by the way, if I just program the application with I-Jet and attach to it after boot, everything works without issues, just the main steps with debugger get into problem).Is there any idea why I-Jet behaves differently ?Thank you,

Both the Arduino Due and STM Nucleo 32F303K8 resolution is set as 12bits.Digital speed is the instruction set a pin high and then low.In my code I avoided using loops so I coded the instruction 1000 times to get a more accurate reading of the instruction itself.The STM Nucleo 32F303K8 has a specified analog input of upto 5MSPS but it takes 187 micro seconds to get only one sample. Why on the Arduino IDE is the STM Nucleo 32F303K8 analog so slow? Have a working code set that I was modifying. As I have a million times before, I set a breakpoint to check a couple variables. The breakpoints worked fine (with STlink 2). So I removed the breakpoints, and restarted the debug operation.To my surprise, the debugger stopped at the same line I had previously been breaking. I can read one 8-bit byte from the EEPROM in a device. When I try to read another byte (or the same byte), The SR bit goes low which is anded with mask SPI_FLAG_RXNE (always 1), which yields a 0 and puts my code into an infinite loop. Many people online have the same problem, but the solutions haven't worked for most of us. I'm not using DMA or Interrupts for the read. Is there a document that contains the sequence of events that should happen during a read at low levels?
