I am currently working on switching my Keil workspaces to Atollic TrueSTUDIO.I realized that my calculation cycle time in TrueSTUDIO is much longer than old workspace that is implemented in Keil.I was using __sqrtf() function instead of sqrtf() function in my calculations. But I can not find this function in my math.h library. __sqrtf() intrinsic avoids the overhead of checking the input value and generates the VSQRT instruction directly instead of a call to sqrtf().How do or should stay with Keil?Thanks

I'm using microcontroller STM32F042F6P6, for programming I use TrueSTUDIO.When building the project in TrueSTUDIO indicated that the program will take 0x41B0, after programming in the program ST-LINK can be seen, the program memory 0x3E1C.Above the memory cells 0x3E1C all clear.Tell me what is the reason/

Hi,When I add variables to watch during debugging, the watch window does not display the actual value of the variable. I know the variables have the correct value because the program flow based on the value of the variable is correct. The watch just seems static and never updates variable changes.I have tried 2 different computers, 2 different Nucle0-H743ZI boards, Optimization set to 0, added "volatile" when declaring variables, updated the debug drivers.Changing variable type and changing the scope of the variable has no effect.The only time the watch window is correct is if I assign a value to the variable during declaration, the watch window displays the correct declaration value. But that value never changes even when the variable changes.

In the firmware we have some upgrade functions/data, if we want to update the firmware, we have to make sure those upgrade functions/data will not be erased . Hi guys,I use an STM32L072CZY6TR_LoraWAn and the IDE Keil Uvision 5 and i want to use the "Debug (printf) viewer" to visualize data. We are using STM32F401RE for our people counting project. We need to receive a value using UART reception and tried several methods. For transmitting we are using printf() function, for reception we have tried with HAL_UART_Receive() api but it didn't work. For reception, if we want to use scanf(), what changes we need to do? We are attaching the project file.

Hi,For our application we want to write a region in flash with configuration files during production. This is handled by the Segger JLink that writes the program bin and the configuration bin in two parts of the memory.While the firmware can read out the values, it is not able to remove the values or write something on the address after the pre-programmed values.However, if we only program the firmware and let this handle all sorts of configuration writing/removing there is no problem. Comparing the flash areas of these two situations shows no differences.Single step debugging and reading out the flash registers shows that the SR register gives a value of 0xA8 after writing the first double word.We use the NVStore from mbed os 5.12 to handle the memory management.If more information is required, I am happy to add this to the question.

Hi, I am using Atollic trueSTUDIO for STM32 version 9.3, and STM CubeMX version 5.2.0. I usually don't have any problem while using these two, but however, on my last project, I have this Question Mark icon on my project name, and a text saying: "[Firmwares NO-HEAD]" as shown on the picture.I can still run my firmware with no problem, but I am just wondering what should I do with this issue?Have anyone encountered this problem?Thanks!!Stanley

How can I debug a program that is being loaded and running from the QSPI external memory of the STM32F750 using the XiuP model?

I have been following a course Mastering microcontroller with STM32, and the emphasis of this course is to walk the student through the architecture of STM32 MCU's, and develop the driver's for GPIO, SPI. I2C, and USART from scratch. I have an STM32F429 dev board with LCD screen. At this stage of the course, it is the first time trying to use the SPI protocol so I am only transmitting information to a slave (arduino - code written by the professor). My issue is that even when I don't have a slave connected, and just my logic analyser, nothing is toggling (chip select, clock, or MOSI) even though (from what I can tell) all my bit positions within each appropriate register is correctly toggled. I have attached an image that shows within OneNote all the registers correctly toggled after I enable my SPI2 peripheral. Hello thereI started developing my custom boards (with H743 and H750) using Cube FP 1.3.0 and then 1.3.2. Now I have the new revision for both H7 so I've updated CubeMX to 5.2.1 and FP to 1.4.0 and now I've got a lot of troubles:1) USB MSC stoped workingProcess never get to "HOST_USER_CLASS_ACTIVE" and after checking ST library files, I found that two new callbacks weren't add by Cube (as noted in previous post).2) FDCAN Classic stoped workingNo clue yet. "HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ()" is called but there's no message to the other side and "TXBRP" bit is never reset.3) Instable SDMMCThis works in polling mode, no DMA, no transceiver, at 10 MHz. Using the updated FP, even consecutive reading (TXT files) hangs on ReadBlock function (that "infinite" timeout...).Are you guys having the same issues with 1.4.0? I didn't think this migration would crash most of my code...Thanks!

Hello,I'm using a NUCLEO-L4 board and I'm trying to access data while the code is running using the real time SWV console or/and comparator in Atollic TrueStudio. I recive the datas but the console display them in packet approximatively every second. I tried to disable the check button "Wait for sync packet" in the Debug ConfigurationI tried to reduce the "trace buffer size" in Run/Debug -> Embedded C/C++ App -> Serial Wire Viewer but the refresh time doesn't change.Is there a way to reduce the refresh time in the SWV console ?Regards,Nicolas

I am actually cross posting this question, I will include the original link below.I have been trying to get my env set up for two days and keep running into this issue; i have installed all the software to the best of my knowledge ( using arch linux os ). As mentioned I have the Stm Link programmer V2 and my board is the blue pill STM32F103C8T6. I wrote a timer that uses interrupts to count us on stm32f103c8. It compiles and fun’s fine in uvision. However. The exact same code will not trigger interrupts in truestudio. I did the same thing on an F407 and both run flawlessly. Any clues? May firmware?
