Average power dissipation of LDP01 series TVS diode

We require a TVS or zener diode for a clamping application with high average power dissipation. LDP01-56AY does suit our needs, but the maximum average power rating is not described in the datasheet. Our application has an ambient of around 60 degrees Celsius under the worst conditions. What is the maximum average power rating of the aforementioned diode?

Power capability depends on cooling. Get a good guess for your case to ambient thermal resistance, and the given junction to case Rth, multiply by your average power and add ambient temperature to get the chip temperature. If you have enough marging to 175 C, you should be fine.
