Can I connect L6234 exposed pad to GND?

Hi, 

I was wondering if you could attach the exposed center pad of the L6234 IC to GND to get better heat dissipation throughout the PCB?

The datasheet does not mention anything about the exposed center pad.

Sorry that this was not explicitly evident from the documents at the time. However, the confirmation can also be found in the circuitry of the corresponding evaluation board STEVAL-IHM043V1.

But to answer the question: yes, the exposed pad can and should be connected to GND:
