can PG pin of ST1L08SPU33R be left floating if unused?

Datasheet does not specify it.

This is also stated in the data sheet, table 2: VPG = -0.3V ... VBIAS+0.3V. So, pull it to VBIAS.

Good luck!

Welcome @shubhangi, to the community!

It is indeed mentioned a little hidden. However, the data sheet, table 4, states Isink = 6 mA open drain output for PG. This pin is therefore an open drain output and can therefore remain completely unconnected.

Hope that answers your question?

/Peter

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your response. It indeed is hidden. :)

If I want to use this pin, I assume, I will have to pull-this up. Which voltage rail should it be pulled-up to?

Thanks,

Shubhangi

Hello Peter,

Can this IC ST1L08SPU33R handle 3.3V input? i.e. convert 3.3V to 3.3V?

Actually I have a case where input can be either 3.3V or 5V. 5V to 3.3V can work. How about 3.3V to 3.3V?

Thanks,

Shubhangi

Well, it is an ultra low drop regulator, but there is still some dropout voltage: the data sheet mentions max 120mV for the whole temperature range, in your case resulting to 3.18V.

Hi Peter,

Yes Thats expected. I think 3.18V should work. Thanks.

Thanks,
