Question

Connection of Vcc and Pvcc of STDRIVEG600

Hi there,

I am using the STDRIVEG600 to drive FETs for my application. However, I came across some confusion.

Would you please clarify the following question:

  • Are the VCC (pin 4) and PVCC (pin 5) internally connected as the attached picture with blue lines?
  • If not then what are the recommended value for Cboot, Rpvcc and Cpvcc?
  • Can you please also provide me the LTspice library file for STDRIVEG600?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Nick

Hello @NK.5 and welcome to the ST Community.

The reference documentation is the STDRIVEG600 datasheet where no connection between VCC and PVCC pins is shown, in fact they are two distinct supplies.

Moreover in the paragraph "5.2 Supply rails, UVLO protections" it is specified that the PVCC pin can be connected either to the same supply voltage of the VCC pin or to a separated voltage source (refer to "Table 4. Recommended operating conditions" for the values).

A typical value for Rpvcc is 10 ohm, concerning to the Cboot and Cpvcc the values values depend on your application requirements (e.g. power stage, switching strategy).

You can refer to the device demonstration boards EVSTDRIVEG600DG and EVSTDRIVEG600DM for examples.

LTspice library file for STDRIVEG600 is not available.
