Question

SPV1050 standby current

Dear all

I have built up the circuit of STEVAL-ISV019V1. I want to conserve power over one night in a supercap connected to VSTORE. With the 3V3 LDO enabled but no load present, the SPV1050 seems to draw about 7-8uA.

Is it possible to bring it down to less than 1uA or do I need to disconnect the SPV1050?

Kind regards

Christian

If you want to get below 1µA, you will probably have to switch off the SPV1050 completely, as the operating current is already approx. 1.7µA with LDO2 alone (data sheet, table 4). In addition, the data sheet values apply to the SPV1050 alone, but in the STEVAL-ISV019V1, current is caused by external components, e.g. about 0.45µA by R4...R6.
