I had the same problem with this program. Moreover, both in Windows 98 and in Windows 11. The reason turned out to be not in the new operating system, but in the display resolution being too high. Reduce the resolution and it will launch.

The screenshot shows that you are working with Windows 10 or later. However, this software was developed for a very old version of Windows, was out of date many years ago, is not compatible with Windows 10 anymore and throws tons of errors. Instead, STMicroelectronics switched to the online version eDesignSuite, which unfortunately does not support the VIPER53 anymore.

If you really want or have to use your software, you should run it on a computer or a virtual machine with an old Windows (not connected to the Internet for security reasons!).

    Good luck!

I have desktop PC and notebook running the same versions of Win10 64. The 'overflow' problem present only on desktop PC. Some months earlier all works OK on desktop, so this problem can be resolved regardless to run to old PC.
