ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

I am Using ST25DV04KC-IE8C3 In My Project as NFC Tags and Readers as well as Energy Harvesting. In Our Project, we are using  STM32L4A6VGT6 as the main MCU so, can we use energy harvesting and operate STM32L4A6VGT6 with other peripherals like reading a External flash, etc ???

I am trying to write to the configuration area of an ST25DV04KC NFC chip using I2C. I am able to read and write to the user area. I am able to present the default password (8 zeros, 0x09, 8 zeros) and the SSO_Dyn register switches from 0x00 to 0x01, indicating that I have entered a secure session. It also switches back to 0x00 if I present a bad password.With the SSO_Dyn register reading 0x01, I then write with addressing 0xAE the following bytes: 0x00, 0x05, 0x08. The message doesn't receive an ACK and the value doesn't change. I can read and write everything OK using the ST25 tap app on my phone. I am also able to read the configuration registers over I2C. Hello, i am developing a firmware on EFR32 platform, most problem were solve and the st25r3917b could communicate with the EFR32 via I2C.However , something weird happened when i migrate code from a testboard to a actural board.1. The code works perfectly in STM platform, when the card put on it , it can scan it every cycle.But then i migrated the code on EFR32 platform testboard, the reader only sometime could read the card and the UID.Could you help me have a glance about what is most possibly cause the difference ?2. Although , the testboard is "semi-funcitional" , it is acceptable that i can run it on a actual integrated board. The integrated board and the EFR testboard actually is the same hardware setting(only the irq pin and I2C pin is different), but the integrate borad stuck in workerstate 2 as always, the return code always return err 4 . Hi, I am designing NFC transceiver with ST25R3916B for EV charger and I have few questions regarding this.1. I saw that its transmit power is related to antenna size I can use so what is the maximum antenna size can I use? (Area I want to cover is approximately 140mm x 80 mm )2. If I am able to achieve this size, I need to keep turns ratio to 2 to achieve inductance between 1-1.5 uH(how to decide required inductance to define other parameters?), will this lower turns ration affect the performance in any way?3. Is component selection for Antenna designing and tuning related to Antenna size?4. Hi,I'm working with the ST25DV04KC tag (ISO15693 type 5) and I want to both read and write data to it.I'm looking for a compatible NFC reader that can connect to the computer via USB port, using an USB-to-Serial converter. The use case would be to write an application in Python that can use this reader to read/write data to the above mentioned NFC tag in NDEF format.Maybe someone can help me with the following questions:1 - Can anyone recommend a NFC reader that can communicate with NFC type 5 tags?2 - Can anyone recommend a Python library for communicating with NFC type 5 tags? I've found a library called nfcpy, but the documentation suggests that it only works with tags of type 1, 2, 3 and 4.Thanks!

Hi, we have a problem in our NFC app implementation in React Native. NFC card is st25dv64k-IWe use library react-native-nfc-manager to read/write single block and works good. The problem here is when we need to do it with a block greater than 255.We think that is for the "hexadecimal limit" because 0xFF = 255 but 0x100 = 256 and we read/write in a different block that you want. Operation works good but return a bad block info.We test it with ST25 tap NFC app and works good, writing in the 256 block and after that, with our app, read 30 blocks starting from 255 block and we get correct 256 block output.We are using this operations:- Single read: NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x23, ...nfcUid, 255]);- Multiple read: NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x23, ...nfcUid, 255, 0x30]);const newBlockData = [0,0,0,0,1]- Single write:  NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x21, ...nfcUid, 255,...newBlockData])Our goal is to write in block 305 byte 0 value 1.Thank you very much

Hello,I am using the X-Nucleo-NFC03A1 shield with the Arduino Uno. I use the library for the BM019 as an inspiration for reading my tag. Setting the protocol, the echo command and the IDN command all work fine, but when I try to read the UID of the tag I always get the error 88 in my response code meaning invald start of frame. I am using the ISO 15693. Could you help me find the cause of that error and tell me what it means.For getting the UID I use the commands 0x00 0x04 0x03 0x26 0x01 0x00 as reccomended in the datasheet.Thanks. 

Hello, I'm using the X-Nucleo-NFC08A1 with the X_Cube NFC 6 and a NFC(V - ISO15693) Tag. I want to decrease the time for reading and writing. I also want do decrease the time for detecting a Tag. Are their any parameters to change or is the speed highly dependent on the Tag. I already lwered the discParam.totalDuration to 10ms and turned off all functions that work with a different type of Tag. Time to read a single Block: 11.38 ms Time to write a single Block: 15.65 ms Thank you for helpingRgds

Hi! I am a student new in this theme and i am searching for components to create a energy harvesting NFC system. This will work only with the power given by a mobile reader though the antenna. Searching for a dynamic tag, i have see that only M24LR and ST25DV Series can use this feature, but i prefer ISO14443-A because it is a mandatory system requirement. Is it impossible to use the M24LR in a energy harvesting system? Is there any other solution using the ISO14443-A protocol?

Hi,In ST25RFAL library, version 2.8.0, in rfal_isoDep.c, function rfalIsoDepHandleControlMsg(), when ISODEP_S_WTX messages is handled, the code limits how many times a card can request wait time extension, specifically, this line:  if( (gIsoDep.cntSWtxRetrys++ > gIsoDep.maxRetriesSWTX) && (gIsoDep.maxRetriesSWTX != RFAL_ISODEP_MAX_WTX_RETRYS_ULTD) )   By default it limits to 20 (RFAL_ISODEP_MAX_WTX_RETRYS) wait time extension requests.What is the reason for having such a limit?Thank you,D.

Hello,I am trying to create an application that is able to use the ST25R3911B-DISCO to read ISO15693 tags. I read on the forums and understand that the reader does not natively support ISO15693 tags but that there is a RFAL library created by ST which implements all the low level details of ISO15693 protocol so that I don't need to. I was looking on how to implement this on the board and noticed that the firmware already has some of the RFAL library in its files (at least the ones I need). So I was wondering, are some of the RFAL libraries implemented in the firmware already or do I still need to do anything to the firmware to implement them. As well, I was wondering if there is any documentation for the command sets of the RFAL library or more or less how to use the library itself.

Hello,I'm use ST25R95. I'm facing problem with Tag detection in WEF mode.Its working fine with WEF from Time out and IRQ_In low pulse, But not get wake from sleep modewhen I configured it for a Tag detection.Observation: I seen during Tag Calibration that there is no change appear in result of calibration Idle command withTag or Without Tag, all time the pattern of response even without Tag or with Tag calibration is same.
