Hi! I'm can't understand SPI protocol on STM25R95ST25R3916. I tried to send commands via SPI like in datasheet but did not have any response. Do i need to toggle IRQ_IN pin every time i send a package over SPI? Will chip work without CS on every message ?

I am looking for NFC and HID card readers, I can't find the chip by surfing on site. I need help from the ST support team in finding the perfect reader for my application.

Hello, I am making a project with CR95HF on a custom PCB and I have been researching some information about the antenna for the transceiver operated by the early mentioned chip. I have couple questions to clear up your documentations for CR95HF and X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1.In the documentation AN5248, you mention in the calculation for EMI cut-off frequency that fc= 1 / 2*PI*sqrt[(2*L0) * (C0/2)] = 14.6 MHz, however my calculation brought me a result of fc = 15.04 MHz. What causes this almost 0.5 MHz jump?In the same document AN5248, you use this drawing of schematic part close to antenna: There you mention Low pass filter contains 2 capacitors, C01 and C02, that are equal in value. However in the schematic of X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 (for example UM2479), there are 4 capacitors in parallel (C9, C10, C13 and C14).What is the difference between using 2 and 4 capacitors in the EMI filter. According to the fc formula, it should not change the cut-off frequency so I have been wondering what is the purpose

Do ST25R3917 have Mifare License?  ST25R3917 have numerous registers. Would registers value different for different RF communication (Mifare / Felica / CLICC) ?

Hi,I am working with the CR95HF on the xnucleo nfc03a1 and using a custom Atmega328 board. I can communicate with the CR95HF but the read sequence is kind of like in a shift register. See attached figures.Fig 1: I am only reading the device ID, notice how the bytes shift for some reason.Fig 2: I also read echo and all the bytes are out of order. We have a problem, we are trying to upload a new firmware version over NFC, using the mailbox. Hello, I am new to NFC and I want to confirm if a dynamic tag can read data from a tag and then send that data to a processor.That's what I understood initially but now I am thinking that a dynamic tag is used to only store data and the processor can change that data but I still need a reader (ST25R) to read from a tag/dynamic tagAny help to clear this up is appreciated thank you,Chris

Hi,I am using the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 board with an Atmega328p MCU and atmel studio.I have been trying to communicate with the CR95HF via SPI but I cant seem to get any reply on the MISO line. The MISO line never drops below a certain voltage level (around 100mV). Any idea what might be causing this? I checked that the SCK, MOSI and CS signals all have good integrity on the CR95HF chip. I have attached a picture of the SCK and MISO signals.Thanks in advance for your help

I'm using a X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 board with a NRF52 as host controller. I'm able to read/write commands and set the chip to WFE mode with Tag Detection and IRQ pulse as WU sources.Now I'm setting it to hibernate and, as far as I understood from the datasheet, it should go from hibernate to active state only by setting the IRQ_OUT pin to low state, and then I'd be able to read the chip response that should return the WU source as IRQ pulse (0x000108).However, I seem to be unable to use the chip once it's back from hibernate state, and it only works again after I send a RESET command. I found this strange as the startup sequence shows it differently. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?ps. I also get 0x0000 as a first response from the chip, which is also strange as it is not mapped as a valid response in the datasheet for an IDLE command.

Hi I am trying to implement a custom ISO/IEC 15693 command called "Fast Read Unlimited Blocks" command for the Fujitsu Tag MB89R118C (attached the datasheet). This command allows reading all 256 memory block or 2048 bytes on the Tag's memory in one transaction. Posted on June 12, 2018 at 10:21I am trying to interface with the ST25R3911B-DISCO board via UART. Basically I want to send commands to the reader and then receive the response via the provided UART. I am planning on connecting the ST25R3911B-DISCO board to an external MCU and thus want to use UART as the interfacing standard between the two.I am struggling to find documentation on on how this is possible via the boards UART. Where can one find out what baud rate to use? And Is there a specific mode in which the ST25R3911B-DISCO board must be in for communication via UART to work? Also what commands are available and what type of responses can be expected from the boards UART.Any documentation, assistance or pointers to help would be greatly appreciated.The tag I have is the stock standard ST25TA64K that came with the ST25R3911B-DISCO kit.#st25r3911b-disco #i2c-and-uart #ndef-st25ta64k

Hello,I have a custom board with st25r95, I can read a tag and set it to sleep mode.But I wan't Wakeup by tag detection and Interrupt on the Irq_out pin, so I'm sending the following command using the st25r95Idle(0x64, 0x74, 0x3f) function.>>>0x07 0E 02 21 00 79 01 18 00 20 60 60 64 74 3F 08and checking the Irq_out pin with a oscilloscope when a tag is placed! But nothing is happening!

Although the ST25R3911B_DISCO-FW (v1.2.8) includes a couple of example files (exampleRfalNfca.c and exampleRfalPoller.c), those two files don't appear to exist within the distribution, though they are mentioned within the included help files. Are those actually available anywhere?

Hello ST25 community I'm working on a research project using ST25R3911B to design the reader. We developed our own antenna and tested power transfer with the ST25R3911 discovery kit. On the other side, I used a STM32L4 nucleo plugged to the nucleo ST25R3911 NFC05A1. At some point, I encountered reading problem. My tag has an energy harvesting chain in parallel to the ST25DV64K (30mW to the charge). With the nucleo kit I was measuring 100% of inventory and read block correct at 3cm, and with the disco kit that distance was more 4 cm. The both kits have exactly the same filter, everything has been measured. The antenna is the same. But the nucleo kit seems to be less performant than the disco kit. I've tried to shield the STM32 on the nucleo but it hasnt really improved anything.At the point, we will do everything with the disco kit which meet our requirements (which is not the best as it misses lots of outputs on the MCU - no spare SPI or IOs).We don't understand why the nucleo kit isn'

I'm using ST25 android sdk. When sending data to nfc chip it sometimes fails to write data. Hello. I'm currently working on a RFID research project using 2 ST RFID chip : ST25R3911B and ST25DV64K. The reader is the discovery kit with a home-made antenna to suit to the project constraint. The external filter has been redesigned and transferred power to the tag is all good. The tag is based on the ST25DV64K plugged to a specific antenna as well. There's a parallel circuit that provides power (harvesting with diodes) to a MCU and sensors. The energy harvesting feature of the ST25DV wasn't enough for our needs. Even without consumming power on the tag (only the RFID chip and diodes bride), i can't manage to suceed a FAst Read BLock command. I have 50% of error i'd say. Normal read work well, even with a 30 mW consumption after the diode bridge. But I can't manage to make the fast mode working. I've tried to change filters parameters (register in the ST25R3911) but no success. Could it be the specific antenna bandwidth ?Is there any tricks in the ST25R3911B to achieve fast mode ?

What I'm doing is to perform anticollision with 1 or 2 NFCA tags present.When performing anticollision with just one tag, the function does never report an error and allways find 1 tag correctly.When performing anticollisiion with two tags:There are combinations of two NFCA tags that allways work perfectly (ERR_NONE) and found all the tags.There are combinations of two NFCA tags that allways fails.When a combination allways fails:If I have optimize for size (-Os) error is allways ERR_FRAMING (in the same place as PDe), and if I call anticollision function again, it just found 1 tag (but there are two!).If I have optimize most (-O3) error is allways ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE, if I call anticollision function again, error is ERR_TIMEOUT, if I call it again, ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE, ...All tags works fine, when just one is present.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ulysses HERNIOSUSOpen Ulysses HERNIOSUS
