Question

Looking for an ST-made inverter board with resolver/encoder interface for FOC-controlled PMSM

Hello,

I’m working on a FOC (Field Oriented Control) project to drive a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor). I’m looking for an official STMicroelectronics development board that includes the following features:

  • STM32-based microcontroller

  • Supports resolver and encoder input (preferably both)

  • Gate driver outputs for external power stage (or integrated solution is fine)

  • Fully compatible with FOC-based motor control

Does ST offer such a motor control/inverter board?
Please recommend any official ST hardware that fits these criteria.

Hello @htuncer14 ,

You can download the MCDSK tool from this link.
Refer to the Release note available through Workbench tool > About > Documentations for the list of supported devices and boards. This list also includes inverter boards.
Hall sensors and Quadrature Encoder sensors are supported for speed sensing.

If you agree with the answer, please accept it by clicking on 'Accept as solution'.Best regards.GMA
