Motor Profiler with STM32303E-EVAL + STEVAL-IPM15B 3Sh

Hi Expert, 

I wan to use STM32303E-EVAL + STEVAL-IPM15B 3Sh to run the motor profiler 5.4.8.

But the error message is shown below.

I connect the control board to PC via USB, the LD8 is red. The device manager of PC cannot see com port. 

I think the STM32303E-EVAL not provide a virtual com port, right?

How could I solve this problem?

Hello ALiu.12,

The STM32303-EVAL should provide a COM port, so I think the USB port you are using is not the right one.
There are two USB ports on the STM32303-EVAL, one called USB and the other one called ST-LINK. Please make sure you are using the ST-LINK one, otherwise your device will not be recognized by your computer.

Hi Gael A, 

I checked the connection of the control board, I sure that I connecto to the rigtt port, the device manager could see the STM32 STLINK, but w/o comport. 

I also installed the driver called "en.stsw-link009.zip"

Does it need extra driver?

Or should I connect the real COM port on the lef side of EVAL to PC ?
