Position control for sensorless BLDC Motor - GimBal GBM2804H-100T

Hi All,

Recently, I have purchase P-Nucelo IHM-03 Motor control kit for my evaluation. While I was configuring this motor in Motor Control Workbench, under drive settings the Position control mode is disabled. I would like to know how to enable positon control mode for this drive and Motor.

Hello Pavan_KV,

Position control is only available for quadrature encoder configurations. You need a motor equipped with such a tool to do so.

I am using a sensorless BLDC Motor and in this case without using position controller, how can I control the position of the motor (0-360).

How can I implement position controller for sensorless BLDC Motor.

Hello again Pavan_KV,

If you really want to do position control with a sensorless motor, then you will need a stepper motor, although know that this feature is not supported by our MCSDK. For such configurations, you can take a look around here.
