STEVAL-CTM015V1 in sensorless mode

Hello, Is it possible to configure STEVAL-CTM015V1 to drive a 3-phase SRM (switched reluctance motor) in sensorless mode? The motor has no Hall sensors, and I cannot use the quadrature encoder signals because they are connected to a LabVIEW measurement system for speed/torque. Thanks!

Hello,

I suggest providing the encoder signals in parallel to LabVIEW and to the STEVAL-CTM015V1.

The board and the firmware are custom-built, as they are not available for the mass market and are provided on demand. If you are interested, you must contact the local ST sales office to request it. However, I anticipate that even for the sensorless firmware, it is necessary to have a physical speed and position sensor, such as an encoder or Hall sensors, to fine-tune the sensorless algorithm.

Best regards,
Gigi

hello bulcan do you have firmware for sensored operation.
