STM32 Nucleo FOC adn 6-step motor control firmware

I'm just getting started with the above kit - first step was to reprogram the board to blink the LED! Now I'd like to controlling the motor. I see instructions to reprogram the .bin file, but I was expecting to see an example program with source code - am I incorrect to assume this?

Try installing MCSDK 6.2.0 work bench for generating the source code for the motor application. It will generate the .hex file to flash in the board.
