stspin32g4 EMI radiated issue

During an EMI pre-scan, we confirmed that noise is being generated in the 188MHz band from within the chip.
We have seen posts on forums from others who are experiencing similar issues.

How do you know that?

It's probably some harmonics of the drivers and the power stage.

What did your case / enclosure look like?
How was it grounded?
How did you connect the PCBs' grounds to the case?
How did you filter the power supply?

Any kind of power switching - no matter if flyback converters or e-drives - is not easy to make EMI compatible. That's really an art of its own.
I would really like to put some automobiles with e-drives into an EMI lab and check their radiation. I doubt that all would pass the basic tests under all realistic conditions.

 

I don't know the STSPIN32G4 board, but in general ST says that these are "evaluation" boards, and they mean the basic functions of stuff, probably not optimized for EMI.

Or does ST say that this board is made for putting it into your final product?

I use the same devices. Do you also experience the issue without enabling the motor PWM ?
