UM2200 for STEVAL-ESC001V1 tells me to use STSW-STM32100. ST.com says migrate to X-Cube MCSDK. I have tried installing several versions. Which version has STEVAL-ESC001V1 board?

Its the X-CUBE-MCSDK-Y red "Get latest" button on https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-mcsdk.html.

The newest 6.x version supports only a small subset of boards, more to come later this year.

Check also the User Manual in the Docs section.

MotorControl Workbench 5.Y.4 has it. Choose New Project / Select Boards: Inverted and choose from drop-down list.

@KnarfB Thank you for your answer, I am completely new to this. I have searched for motor control workbench and 5.Y.4 in STM32 developer zone with no results. The recommended STM32 CubeMX only has versions 4.24.0 to 6.6.0, no versions have a 'Y' in them. Please could you tell me how I obtain it. Do I need to install a particular version of some other software and then obtain/install something else from inside that?

@KnarfB Thank you, oh I see that's only windows. Time to remote to another machine! ... I've installed that and have the correct board. Thank you again. This is all a bit overwhelming for something claimed in the databrief to take minutes! Now to install the required CubeMX on the Windows machine as well.
