X-NUCLEO-IHM12A1 - STSPIN240 DC MOTOR DRIVER

Hi,

We used X-NUCLEO-IHM12A1 to run a single DC Motor which was connected to A+ and A- pins.

The Vref voltage for the motor driver can be set to maximum of 0.5V as per the datasheet. 

The motor stall current  for our motor as per the datasheet is 370mA.

So, as per calculation, Voltage across Sense = Current through the motor * Sense Resistance

= 370m * (0.68 || 0.68) = 370m * 0.34 = 0.1258. 

But the set Vref is 0.2V, the motor stopped in between. Further the Vref value was increased to 0.5V still the problem exists. There was no Fault led indications also. The motor stopped rotating in between. 

What might be the possible causes for the behavior?

Will the motor driver stop the motor without triggering the Fault led?
