Hi,     The default ADC clock source is PLL2P = 80 Mhz in my Cubemax "Clock Configuration" TAB.      I can use ADC clock Prescaller to lower it below 50 Mhz. 50Mhz is the max vale for ADC clock.      Question: The default setting PLL2P = 80Mhz before applying the ADC Prescaller is allowed or disallowed?                        If it is disallowed, how to lower PLL2P in Cubemax "Clock Configuration" TAB. without changing all other clock's default settings?         Thanks Rong     

Hi,In my next project I would like to use 2 type of displays. One with MIPI DSI interface and the other with parallel RGB.That is why I chose microcontrollers from the STM32U5 series ( vector graphics accelelator ).According to the information on the ST website, the series (100 pin):STM32U5G7VJ and U5F7VJ support RGB interface and STM32U5G9VJ and U5F9VJ support MIPI DSIHowever, inside the datasheet of the series: STM32U5F7xx in the section describing the pin layout there are 2 types of 100 pin packages:"LQFP100 SMPS" - there is no MIPI DSI pins"LQFP100 DSI SMPS" - has pins to support MIPI DSI (7,8,10,11)And now I am completely confused.The question is which STM32U5xxxx (100pin) chip should I order to support RGB and which one to support MIPI DSI ??Tomasz

Okay so I have ordered my first stm32 board (STM32F401CEU6 - WeAct Black Pill V3.0 | STM32-base project) for making the flight controller for my drone project. It arrived yesterday, so I began to follow the tutorials, firstly installing Impulse RC driver fixer then I moved to flash the firmware but it won't flash. Either the board disconnects while trying to write or it gives writing sector failed error. I even tried switching platforms to make it work but it threw different errorson different platforms, on linux I got "dfu-util: Last page at 0x0813b13f is not writeable" . I even tried flashing through android but no luck there aswell on phone it said "writeMemBlock sendRequest failed" . In my design, PB9 is connected to an LED, and to verify the module's functionality, I attempted to toggle this LED.Here’s where the issue arises: According to the STM32H7A3RGT6 reference manual, GPIOB is connected to the AHB4 bus, meaning its peripheral clock should be enabled using RCC_AHB4ENR. The manual specifies an offset of 0x140 for this register. However, when I use this offset in my code, the LED does not toggle, suggesting that the address is incorrect.Interestingly, when I asked ChatGPT for the correct offset, it provided 0xE0—and when I used this value, the LED toggled successfully!This raises concerns about the correctness of the reference manual or suggests that I may be missing something. I'm using a Nucleo-U575ZI-Q board to test Azure USBx MSC storage protocol strack against an Ubuntu-16.04 LTS host, using STM sample MSC code stripped down with a dummy interface against local storage.A Beagle USB 5000v2 is connected between host and device so that I can capture USB traffic. Enumeration works fine and host starts to talk MSC to device over ep 0x01 and 0x81, probing it for number of LUN, capacity, test-unit-ready and so forth, but no request for media transfer (rd/wr). But with 100% certianty it fails on the 24'th command which is a MSC Test-Unit-Ready.Bus analyser show that Command Transport packet is correct on the bus, and device endpoint has ACK'ed the packet. But when MCU calls HAL_PCD_IRQHandler() and reads out OTG_FS::GRXSTSP::EPNUM, it points to an unconfigured endpoint (usually 15). Also, very often, the PKTSTS field of GRXSTSP contain a value that acc.to speification is Reserved. One odd thing is that BCNT field is always 0x6b6 which is way off

I'm using an STM32G4 series microcontroller with a Type 3 DMA. It's going to be set up as a SPI slave. It will produce data of x bytes at a rate of 10 kHz and a SPI master will want to read this data at 1 kHz asynchronously. The SPI master will only get 1 set of x bytes at 1 kHz but it should be the latest data. I'm thinking about a somewhat convoluted way to make this work, but I'm wondering if there is another standard way do deal with this problem with the given peripherals.1. The 10 kHz loop writes its x bytes to a ping pong buffer. It then writes the pointer to the address to the most recent data into a buffer in regular memory of type DMA_Channel_Typedef. Other configuration in this memory will be set up to transfer a SPI TX transfer of x bytes and has CEN set to 0.2. When the master drives CS low then this triggers a DMAMUX Request generator 0 which will copy the DMA_Channel_Typedef memory from step one into the DMA Channel registers for a SPI TX transfer.

Hello,I'm trying to use the LTDC peripheral with DMA2D to be able to send a image to the display without using the CPUSo first i used the example LTDC_Horizontal_Mirroring to have a working LCD . Compiling it i have the dolphin on my screen and flip horizontally.Next step i used the same config as the project DMA2D_MemoryTo_Memory. So DMA2D in M2M, ARGB4444 in input /ouput alpha input at 0xFF and enable the interrupt (done in my LTDC_Horizontal_Mirroring project)(Also enable I and D cache for cortex M55).After i used the same code for the dma in the M2M project , but when i use the debug tool or put the ouput buffer in my screen i have only 0.I checked all register for DMA and the config and adress for in and out (DMA) correspond to the address of the buffer i gave to DMA.Any ideas ?Thanks. /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ********

Hello, I'm trying to use the HPDMA1 with channel 0 to transfer the data from UART1 to AXIRAM5 (from 0x342E0000). I want to receive all the data (about 150KB) from the UART through DMA at once (it can only transfer 64KB at once because of the limited block size). so I used the Linked list mode to move things in 3 nodes. However, it doesn't work, every time I start my DMA, it goes to user setting error flag. I am using the STMG0B1RET on a custom, battery-powered board. During normal operation pin PC4 is used as UART1 (with an external pull-up resistor). In Standby Mode pin PC4 must be LOW in order to shut down the external device. For this I convert PC4 to GPIO and configure it for pull-down in Standby Mode to achieve the 0V at the output.It is not working. When the HAL function HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() is called the output goes HI.I studied several posts and discussions about this issue, but no success yet.The below is the latest code snipped. Hi,I’m working with an STM32H743 and trying to use the RTC. Everything works fine using the LSI, but when I try to use the LSE (with an external oscillator permanently connected to VBAT to keep track of time even when the system is powered off), I cannot initialize the clock. I get a timeout during the LSE initialization. The clock is working correctly, and the signal is a perfect square wave at 32.768Hz as observed with the oscilloscope.What’s strange is that sometimes, if I configure the microcontroller to use the LSI and then reprogram it to use the LSE while it's running, it successfully restarts after reprogramming without any timeout. The problem only occurs when I power off and restart the board; it seems like the CPU doesn't recognize that the clock is already running before it's activated, or something similar. Both STM32H730 datasheet and application note AN5050 mentions that a write operation can be performed on external Flash memories through the OctoSPI peripheral.However, the STM32H730 reference manual (RM0468), has the following info on section "25.4.14OCTOSPI Regular-command mode configuration":In Memory-mapped mode, the external device is seen as an internal memory but with some latency during accesses. HelloI have found a bug that stops updating the RTC_TR register. There is no problem with the RTC clock itself, it is ticking but the content of RTC_TR might in some specific use cases stop updating.I use the latest STM32CubeH5 Firmware Package v1.5.0 for STM32H5. The problem:When only using the function HAL_RTC_GetTime(const RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc, RTC_TimeTypeDef *sTime, uint32_t Format), the time stored in sTime is not updated. Hi, we are developing a USB PD sink device which will operate up to 28V @ 5A.The STM32G431 seems to be ideal for our application, however it seems that there is no official support for EPR within the TCPP software yet and I am unable to set a PDO higher than 20V during configuration. We will be using a custom board with our own USB protection made from discrete components.Is there an approximate release timeframe for EPR support? We will need to ensure that it aligns with our testing and release timeline otherwise we will likely have to look for other alternatives.Best regards,Chris

  Hello, I made a design aligned to the STEVAL-2STPD01 (just one channel). The USB D+ and D- are connected to a hub (upstream) that is on the same PCB. If I connect the USB-C cable to a laptop, the laptop starts charging but no USB device on the hub is connected. If I use a USB-C to USB-A adapter and then adapt the USB-A to USB-C (USB-C cable just with VBat, D+, D-, and GND), all devices on the hub are connected. Could it be a problem that the laptop switches to USB device mode if a USB-PD charger is connected? Is it possible to use USB-PD and USB 2.0 (D+ and D-) at the same time? Does any configuration option in the USB-PD exist that leaves the laptop in USB 2.0 host mode? I'm using the stm23F103C8 and I would use the RTC internal cloak/calendar. The program is working fine and I have used the LSE osc (32KHz..) as clock source. I have connected a 3V battery to the VBAT pin. My problem is that the switching off the main supply (3.3V) the LSE and RTC stops (vrified with scope).Attached the main.c.Can you help me??
