Hello,I have a custom hardware using STM32H725 board, sometimes(2/10) I am trying to debug the board using ST Link v2 and  It is not getting connected and showing me the error to connect if device supports debug authentication enable it.in order to connect to it I remove the USB cable reconnected and selected the mode as power down mode with reset mode as  core reset and it was able to connect. I then erased  the whole chip and then reconnected in normal mode using software reset mode and it was able to connect.I compared the option bytes  when it was not able to connect and also when it was able to connect in the power down core reset mode and found no difference,Now my question is what could be the issue-is it due to the software code which is making or is it something related to the hardware or something other than option bytes which is being changed ? pleae let me know your suggestions to debug this further

Hello,It looks that empty check on STM32G071GB is causing some problems to my boards due to high, low signals on pins. I am trying to omit empty check procedure and program my MCU using st-link by SWD. Is there any procedure for such scenario? When connecting not powered st-link I can see that nRST is set to low which does not allow MCU to start but after connecting st-link to power it seems to reset MCU and it does empty check. The only "workaround" was to connect nRST directly to GND, connect st-link, click Connect and after ~0.5s disconnect nRST from GND.Does anyone know how to omit this empty check and program fresh MCU using SWD? Thank you for any help.

Does the STM32H743XGH6 have a pull-up/pulldown resistor built into the JTAG pin?Is it necessary to add external resistors?We ask this question because the AN4488 application note does not cover this product.

Hello ST experts, i need help about using STM32H747i-discoI'm testing Uart Tx(DMA)-Rx(Interrupt). My goal is 10Mhz uart tx-rx.The problem is that i success 750khz, but fail to Rx when baudrate 1Mhz~10Mhz. I set the disco 480Mhz setting (hw SB setting done for SMPS -> LDO).Uart8 peripheral clock is 120Mhz(Max). Uart8 Oversampling changed 16 -> 8 sample.So i can set uart8 baudrate up to 15Mbps. I connect STM32H747i-disco CN6-D0(PJ9 uart8-rx) to CN6-D1(PJ8 uart8-tx).So if i run uart8_tx -> uart8_rx will catch.I have testing uart gpio speed low to very high but it is not work for my case.Success at 750khz. Fail at >1Mhz. Need some advise.Thank you.

I'm currently designing a DIY loop pedal for guitar, which basically records samples of audio and plays them in loop.I'll be using a STM32H743VIT6, embedded on a WeActStudio dev board. The audio CODEC is the PCM3060. I'm aiming for 24bits resolution with 44.1kHz sample rate, 256Fs.I don't know much about I2S in general, so this is what I've pictured: I should setup the ST as master full-duplex, so it can receive from the CODEC and transmit to the CODEC at the same time (the looped audio, when it has finished recording). This is what I've setup so far on CubeIDE:

Hello, I'm using an STM32C011J6M6 with the Arduino IDE to register with theST25DV64KC-IE6S3 's EEPROM. I previously used the ATTiny85 and would like to replace it with the STM32C0 to maintain the entire solution with ST components. I made some changes to the code but I can't register with the SDA/SCL of the STM32C0. According to the datasheet, I should use pin 8 as SCL and pin 1 as SDA, but the registration with the EEPROM isn't working, I tested the eeprom address with ATTiny85 and it is 0x53In the project with the ATTiny85, I didn't need to declare the terminal to perform this registration. Hi,I'm using STM32G071RBT6 microcontroller where I need the fastest ADC time sampling as possible. I'm sampling 12 ADC channels. One of them is Vbat.According microcontroller datasheet "5.3.22 Vbat monitoring characteristics", the minimum ADC sampling time when reading the VBAT should be ts_vbat = 12us. This is a limitation for my application and I would like to reduce this time. My questions are:1. What is the technical reason for this minimum ts_vbat = 12us, while others like "ts_temp" or "ts_vrefint" have much lower values?2. Are there any workaround to reduce this time?3. Which could be the impact in the "Error on Q" if we configure in our application the ts_vbat = 10us? Thanks in advance,Marco. 

Hi,I'm using TIM1 in Encoder mode while running ThreadX in the program in STM32H523. I encountered an issue where TIM1→CNT only toggles between 0 and 1 when rotating the encoder. However, when I deactivated ThreadX, the encoder worked fine. I haven't enabled TIM1 interrupts and am only reading the register periodically. Where could the conflict between ThreadX and the TIM1 Encoder be?

This is my first time working with any DSI/LTDC/HDMI related stuff, so I'm still figuring a lot of this stuff out and could use some help figuring out how times and clock speeds all interact. I'm using the STM32H757 Eval board.  I have it working with the on board 800x480 display and purchased one of the HDMI adapters they make for this board.  Using one of the example projects I got that displaying at 720x480 to a standard computer monitor (a 1080p capable BENQ).  I now want to increase the resolution and... can't figure out what I need to change. I am using the STM32G071. My first board is built on the G071G8UxN. This is a 28-pin version. UCPD1_DBCC2 on pin 14 PB0UCPD1_DBCC2 is also on PA10 but that's not connected on the 28-pin version. However, you can remap and replace PA12(pin 19) with PA10.  I did do that in order to use the USART1. Now my pin 19 has PA10 on it which presents USART1_RX but also a second UCPD1_DBCC2. This does not seem correct but I can't find anything that says the UCPD1_DBCC2 from PA10 is not relevant on the 28 pin version. What's the answer here?   Now I am planning to use the 48 pin version and am confused about if UCPD1_DBCC2 will move when I reassign PA10 to pin 34!? For the 28-pin board I treated it like it did not move simply because I did not notice. I haven't tested if the feature actually works or not.Actually, you can't remap this feature because it is in effect when the MCU is powered off and remapping is something that happens at runtime.

Hi,We are currently utilizing a custom-designed STM32U5G7 microcontroller for our application with the MSI clock configured to 1 MHz. Despite configuring the device in Sleep and Stop modes, with all GPIO pins set to input and one pin configured as an EXTI interrupt for wake-up, we are observing a current draw of approximately 2mA. Our goal is to reduce the current consumption to the micro ampere range. Could you provide guidance on further optimizing power management and implementing lower-power modes?I have attached the code ,pin out configuration and current drawn  measured using Otii.

We use a STM32H743 and I want to connect an external reference voltage to the Vref pins. We use 3 ADCs, and for each ADC, we sample 4 channels. Each channel must be read at 100 ksample/s. The 3 ADCs operate continuously. A common ADC clock of 10 MHz clock is used. The resolution used is 16 bits for each channel. I have the following questions:1) What is the average current drawn from the Vref pin for all 3 ADCs during conversion?2) What is the Radc value?3) The SAR ADC has internal capacitors that are charged/discharged from/to a reference voltage in a very short time during successive approximations. The voltage reference including an external buffer capacitor on the Vref pin must be capable to deliver energy in a short time without changing the Vref voltage. I read that there are buffered and unbuffered voltage references. I'm intended to use a REF3433 and an external capacitor of 10uF. The REF3433 is an unbuffered reference source. Hi, I am pretty new to STM32 MCUs and I am having trouble with USART communication. I would like to send a message from Nucleo-F401RE to raspberry pi 3b+, and then to display that message in terminal on raspberry. I have tried to use USART2 for this but it didn't work, then i read that USART2 is used when i connect Nucleo to the laptop so i changed the code to use USART1 and it still doesn't work. I have tested the USART2 with the advanced serial monitor on the laptop and it works properly. Hi,I'm using STM32H755ZI-Q Nucleo board and I'm trying to use TIM2 to trigger Dual ADC conversion. M7 core is running FREERTOS and M4 is bare metal. ADC is controlled by M4 core. DMA is used to transfer data to M7 and then M7 is using ethernet to transfer data further. Sampling rate of my ADC is 1.92MSPS (12bit). I'm tring to use TIM2 to trigger ADC. This should happen with rate of 60Hz. Every 16.67ms (60Hz), I would like to collect 2x2048 samples.It seems that I'm not getting configuration of ADC correct, since I'm actually getting one sample pair with 60Hz rate.  I'm not sure if configuration of ADC or DMA is incorrect? HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() is firing at rate ~0.5Hz.

Hey folks,I've seen many posts from frustrated users of USB OTG HAL, especially when enabling DMA. what is the best/easiest way to have multiple connections to the same debug target using stlink as a debug adapter, i mean during an active debug session within the cubeide have another PC tool (custom built) that can interract with the hw, like read/write memory and registers.Theoretically the stlink can be shared via the stlinkserver, however its usage is not well documented (or at least i'm not aware of it)Some possibilities i could think of:1. talk to the stlinkserver directly somehow2. next to the active gdb connection from cubeide have a telnet session from the other tool3. use 2 instances of openocd, one from cubeide and the other for the tool (gdb based)4. others?I would prefer gdb based solution. Performance is relevant as i need to transfer large amounts of data Any hints, ideas?
