Hello, I am using STM32H503 for precise time measurement hence I need to tune the PLL that output frequency compensates the voltage or temperature drift of the HSE crystal.My setup is:- Clock configured as HSE=16, M=, N=337, Nfrac=4096, P=2 which should give HCLK=180MHz- External, high class reference GPS clock (1PPS) connected to TIM1 as ETR.- TIM2 CH1 in IC/TRC mode with DMA readout to measure the HCLK.The procedure is as follows:- DMA reads TIM2_CH1 CC values into buffer in circular manner (size of buffer is 30 dwords)- on every HT/TC interrupt I am averaging measurements, taking into account only those within 2% of target frequency- I am calculating the HCLK error, and correction to be applied to PLL1 Nfrac register.Update of the Nfrac is done according to to RM492, i.e. to enforce 0->1 transition of the RCC_PLL1CFGR_PLL1FRACEN and later wait for RCC_CR_PLL1RDY to becom

Hello,I am trying program the flash memory on an STM32f401RE.After successfully programming sector 7 I cannot flash a new application to my board, instead I am met with :Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_NOT_HALTED) I can flash new code after a mass erase with cube programmer but this shouldn't be necessary.

I have a custom board with an STM32G473 running at 170MHz. I have the QSPI peripheral running correctly in indirect mode when the pre-scaler has a value of 5 (so ~23MHz) but when I decrease the pre-scaler any further all HAL_QSPI_Receive calls end up failing silently. I've tracked it down to the QSPI_WaitFlagStateUntilTimeout returning an error due to what seems like a timeout. Hello everyone,I am currently working on a project with the **STM32 B-L475IOT1A2C** and I am looking to implement a BLE *observer* mode to scan for nearby BLE devices. My goal is to retrieve the MAC addresses of the detected devices and analyze the content of the BLE frames being sent.I have already set up my development environment using **STM32CubeMX** and **STM32CubeIDE**, but I am facing a few challenges:- How do I properly configure the **STM32 B-L475IOT1A2C** to work in BLE *observer* mode?- What libraries or functions should I use to scan for BLE devices and retrieve their MAC addresses?- How can I analyze and display the contents of the BLE frames received from the devices?If anyone has worked on a similar project or can guide me with code examples or additional resources, it would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, I’m trying to use the PyOCD library to program an STM32H747 and an STM32U5A9 using .hex or .bin files generated by STM32CubeIDE. So far, I haven’t had much success, and I’d like to know if anyone has experience with this or can offer guidance on how to proceed. I’m also open to alternative ways of programming these devices besides using TouchGFX or STM32CubeIDE.

I am using a Nuclro-303RE to develop a USB Virtual Com port, and I am running into an issue that I cannot seem to resolve.  Just to verify things, I did put some really simple code in the flash the green indicator on the Nucleo board.I have it connected to a custom board that runs the USB lines out to a USB connector.It is powered externally with 5V to VIN. Jumper set for E5V. The power indicator on the Nucleo is on, and the 3.3V is running.I am able to run it with the debugger tool, however, it will not run with just the USB and the 5V in.When I plug in to the USB on the ST-Link board, it starts to run, i.e. the green LED will blink, and the USB will enumerate for the USB virtual com port.I did add an 8MHz oscillator @ X3 and associated parts.I do have a pull up on the USB line.

I want to add a USB thumb drive (mass storage) to a NUCLEO-144 F767ZI board. I see the STM32CubeIDE can be used to point GPIO lines PA8~PA12, PG6, PG7 to connector CN13 (USB Micro-AB) or to the Morpho connectors to realize a USB OTG (On the Go) interface suitable for thumb drives.Three questions - 1.  Is it possible to use the STM32CubeIDE to configure the NUCLEO for USB OTG **and** also have Micropython running for the main application code? This may be thought of as a 'hybrid software' solution leveraging parts of STM32CubeIDE (for USB OTG setup) and Micropython.  Preferably, I'd like to implement the USB thumb drive in Micropython exclusively, but I've not found a solution to do that.2.  Any suggestions for a purely Micropython implementation of STM32 USB OTG interface to support a USB thumb drive?3.  Any suggestions (is it even possible?) for a hybrid software solution that uses parts of STM32CubeIDE to co

Hi,I am trying to calculate the Timing register value for an I2C peripheral using STM32CubeMX. I am doubtful on how to calculate the rise and fall time (tr and tf) values for this. What is the preferred way to choose this tr and tf values for a particular board. 

I am going to set up a RGB666 LCD with STN32F779 and Frame buffer in SDRAM. The problem I'm facing is that there are a series of parallel dark lines in the image.I first tested the SDRAM and the reading and writing is done correctly. Then I realized that only in the R5, G5, B5 data lines of LTDC the signal form is different from the other lines and when I manually write '0' in which these lines, (for example 0b11011100) the image is displayed clear and without problems. Hi   I have a a stm32L433 48 pin processor and trying to get it into low power. I am using the STLink-V3PWR module with stm32Cube Monitor Power module.   First of all I placed a known value resistor across the STLink-V3PWR to make sure it is reading the correct value, then tried the following: 1. I am using a MIC5219-3.3YM5-TR from the input with the STLink-V3PWR set to 3.6v.  And on its own it draws 85uA.2. I then added all the resistors and capacitors needed and it measured 96uA.3. I added the STM32L433 and programmed it to first run for approx 5 seconds in normal mode (16MHz), then drop into standby mode. On the output you can see it drop quite a bit, but the lowest current is approx 650uA (far too much current) as you can see on the graph below. 

Posted on March 21, 2016 at 17:25We have a batch of boards in the field where the LSE crystal may be marginal and I'm wondering if there's a way to check for the LSE losing lock after initially being locked.  That is, if on initial clock setup I get a positive response from RCC_GetFlagStatus(RCC_FLAG_LSERDY), but later the LSE stops.I've looked at the RCC_BDCR register and it doesn't seem to change, even if I short out the crystal, but I do see the RTC stop advancing.So is my only option to check for the RTC stopping advancing and use that to flag a problem ?   Thanks in advance

HelloI am creating a program using STM32C031.Before entering while(1) when powering up, I would like to use HAL_I2C to retrieve EEPROM data from the IC, and then start the USART1 and USART2 receive interrupts and the SPI1 transmit interrupt.However, in my current program, after reading data with I2C, I intend to enable the USART1 receive interrupt, but it is not enabled, and USART1 reception does not start. By the way, the USART2 and SPI1 interrupts start normally.Furthermore, if I switch the order of the I2C read function (rfid_check()) and the USART1 interrupt enable command(huart1.Instance->CR1 |= 0x20;), the USART1 interrupt will also work normally. However, in this design, I do not want the USART interrupt to work while I2C is running. I would like to know the necessary operations and settings from power on to GPIO control.I have made a board using STM32H743XGH6.I want to set the GPIOs to turn on the LEDs, but it does not work.I am setting the GPIOs by manipulating the registers directly with JTAG.I would like to know what other settings are necessary before I can get the GPIO to work.(For example, set this register here, etc.).Sorry for the general explanation.Assuming there is nothing wrong with the circuit, any advice would make me happy.

 I am studying the architecture of the STM32H7 family, and according to the AN there are various types of memory, DRAM, SDRAM, NOR/PSRAM, NAND in addition to the swap between SDRAM and NOR/PSRAM.What is the reason for such diversity and what benefits does this bring to the developer and the system?

Greeting Everyone,I am facing an issue with my STM32 board having STM32F103C8T6 as MCU, while trying to see a normal "Hello World" output. After debugging the board, I attempted to connect it to my PC via the serial port. To ensure proper communication, I installed the necessary Virtual COM Port drivers from the STM32 website.However, my PC is not detecting the COM port to which the STM32 board is connected. Additionally, when I try to view the output on the Debugger Console within STM32CubeIDE, I encounter an error that prevents me from seeing the expected output.I have written the code below that I'm using to print the Hello World which I have found online. Also I do not know if their is any problem on the code. With this I have also attached the Pin Configuration and Clock configuration details below as images.  

I was wondering by which reason the HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback is not being called. All the functions called in the inside the HAL_LPTIM_Init return HAL_OK.

Hi All, I am trying to reduce the boot up power consumption using STM32U575RIT6xQ . I using a 4-20mA power source and the boot up power is 7.6mA. After it boots up the power consumption is 3.4mA. We are using Free RTOS. Below is the pins that are activated :1. ADC1      3 Channels2. GPIO       26 Pins 3. I2C2        2 pins 4. TIM           2 timers5. UART4     6. USART3   Asynchronous My requirement is the device should boot up and run below 3.5mA. Is there a way to reduce it in the firmware at the boot up. I am aware that power saving mode can be implemented in the code but not sure how to reduce power at boot up. If anyone could provide any assistance it would be very helpful Thank You in advance   

Hi, I try the whole day with an F103C8 to have the Alarm Pulse on Tamper Pin C13 but it is not possible, I tried with PullUp resistor and also I tried to configure manually the GPIO Pin to AF OD config. But with my Osciloscope I cannot see anything. Only works the Clock divided with 64 output, with this configuration I can see the clock with a 511Hz signal. I tried CubeIDE 1.15 and 1.18 with tha same results.Any Ideas? Kind regards,Niko

On page 1017, Section 31.3 in Package data register of the STM32C0 reference manual (Revision 5), looking at the PKG[3:0] bitfield, when the condition is STM32C071xx, there seems to be two parameters with the same value? Was the value 0b1100 intended over 0b1000? (Since both "UFQFPN32_N / LQFP32_N" and "LQFP64_N" are 0b1000). See below for the referenced page.
