STM32 MCUs Products

I am using an STM32 Nucleo-64 F401RE6 and need to interface with a sensor that has a single physical USB port but appears as two Virtual COM ports on a PC. I have configured the Nucleo board in USB_OTG Host Only mode and successfully enumerated the device. However, the connection is established with only one of the COM ports. How can I access data from both Virtual COM ports using USB Host mode on the Nucleo board?

I am trying to use the Nucleo H563ZI to read a 24 bit data via the SAI with the TDM protocol. SAI has been configured in asynchronous slave mode. Valid data from the master is available after the falling edge of the FS signal. However, while calling the HAL_SAI_Receive() API,  I always see that the FIFO status is empty and the value in the data register is always 0.  Attaching the waveform and the SAI1 register contents. Any assistance on this would be of great help, TIA!  

When I first glanced through the STM32G474 datasheet, I saw VREF+ and VREF- on pins 43 and 44 on the LQFP128 package. "Cool", I thought, although I had no significant need for an actual VREF- pin.However, when I was making a schematics symbol, I noticed that the two pins are in fact VREF+ and VREF+. Apparently, the exact same thing on two pins next to each other.Does anyone know why this is? It makes perfect sense to have multiple pins for supply voltage and ground. But for a reference voltage? When ever I configure HSE in my ioc file for my custom PCB my code stops at SystemClock_Config() or HAL_Delay().  One time when I replaced 48Mhz crystal oscillator with 32 Mhz my LVCU code worked on HSE but it was considerably slow than HSI even on 170 Mhz.When I created another project to test HSE the same problem continues i.e SystemClock_Config() and HAL_Delay() stopped . Can some one tell what should be the ioc file setting for HSE so that SystemClock_Config() and HAL_Delay() works.  (LVCU working,distance2 not working) 

Good day,I'm experiencing an unexplained bus fault when the MCU writes to unaligned (not aligned to 32-bit) addresses in the OSPI memory region. I've written a minimal implementation that shows where the issue occurs. See below.I'm using the STM32U585 with two IS66WVS4M8BLL quad SPI modules. The OctoSPI peripheral is configured in Dual-Quad Mode. See the image for the settings as configured in STM32CubeMX. I use memory mapped mode. I've enabled DQS for writes as per 2.6.1 of the errata. I've tried different MPU cache configurations for this area: no MPU, MPU_DEVICE_nGnRnE, and (MPU_WRITE_THROUGH | MPU_NON_TRANSIENT | MPU_W_ALLOCATE | MPU_R_ALLOCATE).

Hi all, I am using the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board, and trying to boot MCU from the bootloader.Based on the reference manual, the conditions for that at the MCU reset :PRODUCT_STATE = OpenNVSTATE = OPENBOOT0 = HighI checked PRODUCT_STATE = Open at the option byte tab of STM32CubeProgrammer. I checked NVSTATE = OPEN (0xB4) at the REG tab of STM32CubeProgrammer. BOOT0 is made high by hardware.I thought that with this the MCU should boot from the bootloader. But actually it boot from the flash 0x0800.0000.Did I miss something ? Please kindly advise what to check further.Thanks in advance.

I'm working with the STM32H730VBT6 and I'm currently using the stm32h730xx.h CMSIS header file, but there's also the stm32h730xxq.h in the cmsis-device-h7 repository. I assume I'm using the correct header file for my microcontroller (pretty sure CubeMX uses stm32h730xx.h too), but RM0468 (Rev. 3) mentions a SDEN bit ("SMPS step-down converter enable") in PWR_CR3 (pg. 289) but the stm32h730xx.h -- in the same field -- calls it

If the PDR_ON connector is connected to the GND, the VBAT function may not be available.What is the VBAT function?To use RTC, a coin cell is connected to the VBAT connector. Is there a problem if the PDR_ON connector is connected to the GND?I am using STM32F429ZI.Please let me know.

Hello,I am working on a simple project at STM32L476 NUCLEO which includes ADC1 + TIM6 + DMA1. No libraries are used.I am facing the problem where I need to manually set ADSTART bit after each EOS, as it seems it gets cleared and no further conversions are done until bit is set again, even though ADC is running in single mode + hw trigger.I managed to pinpoint the time when it gets cleared by storing CR register value during various interrupt handlers (EOS, EOC, TIM update). Hello,I am trying to read sample from a AD7768 using a STM32F767. The data is feed to the SAI peripheral at 8Mhz. I used this code https://github.com/pavel-demin/stm32f7-discovery-usb-headset/blob/master/Drivers/BSP/STM32746G-Discovery/stm32746g_discovery_audio.c has reference. I am reading sample in burst of few k bytes using the DMA. But approximately half the samples are wrongs. It looks like the first frame bit is read before the frame start which lead to a data frame shift of 1 bit. When it happens the bit LFSDET (Late frame synchronization detection) is set in the SR register. Sometime even if the data are correct the LFSDET bit is set.I tried every frame synchronization and clock configuration but I cannot make it works. My best results

Hello Team , I am trying to use the SAI1_A on the STM32H563ZI and I am not able to read any data using the asynchronous RX Mode. The control keeps checking for status != SAI_FIFOSTATUS_EMPTY and there are no updates post that.(Although, I am using the same code and configuration on the STM32L552ZEQ MCU and it works as expected.) As per the reference manual of STM32H5, I have the SB71 OFF.  Please let me know if there are any more configurations to be done as a part of this.  Thank you,Janani

However, I'm having difficulties putting the MCU to STOP using __WFI(). It works properly when calling __WFE(); __WFE(); (twice).According to Table 19 in the reference manual the following needs to be performed before trying to enter into Stop, otherwise the instruction will be ignored:Note: To enter stop mode, all EXTI line pending bits in EXTI_PR, all peripheral interrupts pending bits, the RTC alarms (A and B), RTC Wakeup, RTC Tamper, and RTC TimeStamp flags, must be reset. Otherwise, the Stop mode entry procedure is ignored and program execution continues.As far as I can understand, I perform these steps, but the device still ignores the __WFI() instruction.Has anyone ha

Hello,I'm using an STM32G474ME MCU for grid connected power converter applications.I use multiple ADC modules for current and voltage sensing of the converter, and when I drive the power converter, the result values ​​of all channels in certain ADC module are fixed to zero. The strange thing is that when it is fixed to 0, no ADC error occurs, and only the DR register value is fixed to zero. I am currently using ADC modules 1 to 5, and each module has 3 channels. The ADC starts by triggering the HRTIM interrupt, and the converted data is saved as an array using DMA. To help you understand, I have attached the Cube MX settings and registers of ADC module whose output(DR) is stucked to zero.What could be causing this problem? Could this phenomenon be caused by EMI due to the switching of the power converter? Here are some similar questions that have gone unanswered.

FDCAN configuration copied below.When I transmit a frame from another board with the ID different from 0x111, the message is received in the 'HAL_FDCAN_RxFifo0Callback' function anyway. I suppose that this configuration should only accept frames with the ID = 0x111.I did verify that the FDCAN1->GFC = 0x00. I'm trying to get a USB virtial COM Port working on the STM32 Nucleo-H745ZI-Q. I've generated some minimal code to initialize the device on PA11 and PA12 and have tried connecting a four pin USB-C breakout board to wire GND, DP, DM, and U5V, as well as simply using the provided user usb port, but no luck. The datasheets for the new STM32U3 MCUs (375/385) list wake-up from stop3 on SMPS in uA (current), whereas for LDO the docs list the same specs in charge (nAs).Checking the U5 datasheet and the numbers are correctly listed in nAs units. However, the values for U3 are 40-60uA, so if I add 's', it will result in fairly high figures. U5 MCU figures are ~150nAs.Please confirm that if it's 40-60uAs or 40-60nAs, or something else.Thanks.
