STM32 MCUs Products

We have made a batch of 30 boards using the STM32U073. One of this 30 boards is not working as expected.I am able to connect STM32CubeProgrammer to the processor using the SWD port. I am using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.18.0. If I try and erase the flash I get ”Error: Mass erase operation failed! Please verify flash protection”.Using the OB – Option Bytes page I see the following.RDP = AAWRP1A_STRT = 0x7FWRP1A_END = 0x0WRP1B_STRT = 0x7FWRP1B_END = 0x0This looks like RDP is level 0 (no read protection) and the two write flash areas are unprotected.What steps using STM32CubeProgrammer will allow me to erase then program the flash?I do not know if the following is related but I noticed the following while investigating this issue.In the bottom right corner of STM32CubeProgrammer there is target information. Hi,App note AN2606 says I should use FDCAN1_Rx pin PH14 (similary Tx pin) to be able to use FDCAN bootloader but selected package UFBGA169 doesn't have such pins.Can I use default FDCAN Pins to work with bootloader?

Hello, community. I have a task to transfer a value from the buffer of 64 values in memory to 7 GPIO by DMA every 1us. I solved it by setting a TIM2 timer Channel1 to Output Compare mode and TRGO to Update event. Then, I mapped the DMA request to TIM2_UP and set the mode to Circular so that I could use HAL_DMA_CallbackIDTypeDef to copy new data to half of the buffer while transferring another half. The challenge is that I must perform this on two separate STM32H7 MCUs with precise timing. To achieve this, I have a VSYNC signal that's essentially a basic PWM with a 64us period and a 5us pulse width.So, for every rising edge of VSYNC, I need to start transferring the data buffer of 64 values. One value for 1us. And start transferring another 64 values right at the start of the next sync pulse.I was trying to Enable Synchronization in DMA Request Synchronisation settings and set the Sync signal to EXTI (which is my PWM VSYNC) but it doesn't work as I expected.

Hi,I'm adapting the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q template "Template_FSBL_LRUN" to boot a tested application from the QSPIUnfourtunately, as soon as the binary becomes larger than 64kB and uses a second sector, the application will not boot anymore.I can reproduce this by adding a large printf statement to push the binary over the 64kB boundary or by changing the optimization level to either favor binary size or speed and thereby affecting the binary size.What am I missing?Thanks in advance for every advice!

This is what I am doing and want to accomplish:   I am using ADC4 to convert internal temperature sensor in 1 second intervals, and move the converted value from ADC_DR register to a fixed address in RAM (no increment).  At the end, I want to be able to watch one RAM address in debug mode memory browser and see its value change every 1 second.ALREADY HAVE THE FOLLOWING WORKING:TIM2 timer is triggering ACD4 every 1 second, and ADC4 is placing the converted value to ADC_DR register.  I am able to observer the value using the EOC interrupt when reading ADC_DR value in interrupt handler.I CANNOT GET THIS WORKING:  When I incorporate GPDMA and select source as ADC_DR register and destination as , for example, 0x20000008U address.   I cannot see any values places at this RAM address. (Note: I stop reading the ADC_DR register value in the EOC interrupt handler so the converted value can be

I'm trying to port code from STM32L4 to STM32U5.The STM32L4 code was using the LPUART, with a baudrate of 20k, clocked with HSI but in stop2 mode the HSI was stopped, it was able to wakeup and read incoming data. This configuration was using ~10uA.I'm trying to do the same with STM32U5 but i think the HSI is not stopped during stop2 so it use ~200uA. AFAIK the knowledge base example keep HSI running.Is it possible to use the same configuration with the STM32U5 ? If yes, is there an example ?Or the only solution is to use the LPBAM with STM32U5 (like in LPBAM_LPUART_TransmitReceive) ?Thanks in advance.

Hi,I've been implementing CAN1 on NUCLEO-412ZG board. CAN bus is able to transmit and receive CAN packets. However, the problem is when board receives CAN packet from PC over CanAnalyser tool, it transmits the same packet on Tx line automatically. As we can see in following code, I'm not using HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage() expect in initialization. CAN is configured in Normal mode with 250kbps. Hi,We would like to use the standard USB DFU supplied with a STM32H747IGT6 with our own Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) instead of the default STM VID and PID. We are entering USB DFU mode by pulling the boot mode pin hi. We can run the DFU through the USB without problems, however the device appears in Windows Device Manager as an ST Microelectronics device, and we wish to change the vendor to ourselves. We have a VID and PID for this product and can sign drivers. What is the procedure for altering the VID and PID shown by the embedded USB bootloader in STM32H747 from 0x0483 (VID) and 0xdf11 (PID) so that when connecting to a host, the device string descriptors reflect custom data? Thanks!

Hi,I am developing and exploring a register programming based SPI driver. I took my time to read the datasheet and analyze the SPI startup sequence. For testing, I am using pre-programmed SST25VF080B memory IC. I wrote a simple and low speed (less than 1 Mbps) SPI driver using registers. It did not look too complicated for me, I verified my setup function with a debugger (not 100% sure, if the setup code itself is correct, but I know for sure, that every line in the SPI_Setup function gets executed correct.) Problem arises when I enter the SPI_Send function - attempt to write data into SPI4->DR register for transmission fails, the register isnt acquiring the data... Logic analyzer even shows that the clock is not generated either. It may be a simple mistake or mistype somewhere, but I can not get it any further on my own, its my first time dealing with STM32 registers in SPI... Any help is much appreciated.Some notes: I double checked

Hello all, I developed a UDP server/client with the objective to send and receive data simultaneously. The code has some problems in the way its written (e.g., unnecessary loops, variable definitions inside a loop...), but I'm only interested in solving one problem which is the amount of data I'm able to send from my stm32 to my pc, I want to send 3 TS packets at a time (188*3=564 bytes per UDP transmission), but the maximum number of bytes i was able to transmit is 209 bytes, if i make it 210 bytes, I receive nothing on my PC (python).The basic flow of the data I want to send is:-I'm initializing three buffers with TS headers: uint8_t uart2_data[188] = {0x47, 0x1F, 0xFF, 0xD0, 0x03}; uint8_t uart1_data[188] = {0x47, 0x1F, 0xFF, 0xD0, 0x01}; uint8_t uart6_data[188] = {0x47, 0x1F, 0xFF, 0xD0, 0x02};  Then, to each buffer i w

Hello, When programming an ELF file into a new STM32L431 chip(blank FLASH) for the very first time, the program does not start running automatically. It only runs correctly after a full power-off reset.However, after this initial procedure, new ELF files can be programmed and executed directly without requiring a power-off reset.What could be causing this issue? I recall that the STM32G0 series had a similar problem.**Additional details:**- BOOT0 is connected to ground via a 1M ohm resistor.- The STLINK V3 MiniE Vtarget is connected to the board’s 3.3V supply.- OB setting is not touched. Thanks!

Hi All, I need to design an PCB with STM32C011F6 (TSSOP20 package) that will have few inputs, few outputs and an ADC input (0V-3.3V).  I have seen the hardware design guide which talks about integrated oscillators of 48MHz and 32Khz but I'm not sure about if I need an external crystal/oscillator and what should be the value of it (i.e. 32KHz or 8 MHz or any other value). I intend to program it via STM32duino Arduino library.  Any suggestion will be very helpful. Thank you!

Hello, I would like to know if there are any special tricks to SPI half-duplex mode. As far as I know the configuration is done normally with only the direction as 1 line. Can anyone point me to some form of an example for setting up the SPI in half-duplex and then receiving through said port SPI mode.
