Hello, We are using STM32L412RBT6 MCU for our inverter and battery charger application. We are facing as issue like ADC stops reading and all the ADC results are giving same and random results. Dear community, on the ADC3 IN18 (internal temperature), I have an unconsistancy between the output of the ADC (reflecting the value of the temperature and the reference value TS_CAL1 and TS_CAL2 (0x3114 and 0x40C0).the ADC is in 16 bits and I got a value from the ADC 0xA152.When using the formulae converting the value from ADC to temperature, the result give 685 °C !!!!I change the conversion scale to 12 bit, and now the result is -163°C.it seems the reference value are fix whatever the ADC scale range. but nowhere I found a formulae explaining the influence of the conversion scale neither the influence of Vref.we extend the sampling time to comply with the minimum 9 µs.  

We are planning to make a board using a STM32 MCU in a Modbus application. What we need is a Modbus-RTU. We found that STM32F030 can satisfy our needs and cheap enough but it does not support Modbus. Could we use STM32F030 in this case by special software additional design or we should find another MCU supporting Modbus? If we could use it then we need support about the additional software design. Would you please support us?Thank you!

When I configure ADC1 to read voltage input from PA0 and PA1 using DMA, then the behavior is as below in each condition1) PA0 = 0 (GND) ; PA1 = variable pot (0-5V)then PA1 provides values as per input from pot but max value displayed in 3022 instead of 4095 while PA0 shows value as 02) PA1 = 0 (GND) ; PA0 = variable pot (0-5V)then PA0 provides values as per input from pot, max value displayed in 4095 while PA1 shows fluctuating values3) PA0 = 1 (5V) ; PA1 = variable pot (0-5V)then PA1 provides values as per input from pot but max value displayed in 3022 instead of 4095 while PA0 shows value as 40954) PA1 = 1 (5V) ; PA0 = variable pot (0-5V)then PA0 provides values as per input from pot, max value displayed in 4095 while PA1 shows fluctuating values Kindly suggest how to solve this issue? Hello,I would like to use an ADC using DMA in 12-bit mode. Unfortuntaly, the adc value is only 8-bit which doesn't match with my configuration. I've already tried to solve the problem by trying the solution proposed here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/why-would-an-adc-sample-in-8-bit-mode-when-dma-is-used-but-when/m-p/197276/highlight/true#M42484But it didn't work in my case.Here's my source code for dma and adc. I am not working with the cubeIDE anymore, that's why my configuration functions look different than the auto-generated init-functions of the IDE. The weird thing is that the same configuration is working in the CubeIDE... (so maybe it's a structual problem in my configuration) ADC_Hand

Hello,I have a STM32H7A3 dev board (NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q) and have connected it to a OV7670 camera using DCMI interface. I used an example from Cube library (for DCMI) that grabs single image from camera and stores it in the internal RAM of a microcontroller. That part seems to work just fine, as the expected numbers of pixels actually get stored in the memory.Then I wrote a simple Python script that receives that data throu UART and draws a picture.The pictures I get are really strange (see attached photo). I tried enabling Continuous Conversion Mode and only keeping the first HAL_ADC_Start(), but I no longer receive ADC data afterward. Is this normal, or did I miss something?

Hi!I have two PWM signals coming into two MCU pins, that are two TIM4 channels. Connected to STM32F411CE I know this post is not fully related to STM32 but I am posting here as this forum is somewhat active so I can get some help. SIMCOM forums are pretty much dead. I am interfacing sim7080 with stm32, but for this test I am basically simply using TTL converter. my end goal is to implement OTA updates via http on stm32.Here is what my problem is I am running there http application code for sim7080 and it works as expected. Hello All,Greetings,This post is regarding USB in STM32H7 series. In my project STM32H743 is used as custom HID. My board is used in 5 different configurations(5 PID/Device).  I am using firmware package of STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.10.0 as a reference driver and USB HOST library from it.All configurations are working fine in Win10 Host OS. I can establish connection and communicate to all 5 devices  simultaneously. However when i connect devices to Win7 Guest OS, the computer is crashing with BSOD error PNP DETECTED FATAL ERROR. Always it happens when i connect 3rd device.Looking into minidump in Win10 shows ntoskrnl is the cause for BSOD. Does the custom HID class/library implemented in STM32Cube compatible with Win7 HIDCLASS.sys & hidusb.sys drivers.Anyone have observed similar problem?.Thanks! 

Hi ST Community,Does anyone know how the HSICAL48 value gets loaded into RCC_CRRCR? The RM says "These bits are initialized at startup with the factory-programmed HSI48 calibration trim value", so I assume the trim value is stored somewhere in system FLASH and it gets loaded into the register by hardware. If this is the case, does this happen at every system reset or only for power-on-reset?Asking because I've seen seen the calibration value be substantially off (i.e. 0xa when it should be 0x12a) and cause the HSI48 to run at ~33 MHz instead of 48 MHz.Thanks

I am trying to enable USB host work. I added  HAL_PWREx_EnableUSBVoltageDetector(); into void MX_USB_HOST_Init(void). and followed git examples for H7. Is it possible to implement UCPD sink on a stm32G4 without RTOS. What all does that entail? What are the pros and cons?

We get a constant square wave on USART2_TX (PA2) on some of our STM32L451CEU6TR products. This seems to happen sometimes after a power cycle (brown-out). The square wave is a around 32kHz. As mentioned, this only happens on a few of our units, and after it has happened it doesn't seem to go away. It comes back after a power cycle event or a reset. One of the first thing we do, is to write on the UART, but we never see this, the oscillations starts before that (and the UART data will not come through after that). But the USART2_RX (PA3) still works. We can still send data to the MCU. The 32kHz isn't the same as the 32,768kHz. It's a little bit lower (like 31,9...). This was one of our thoughts that there had happened some HW changes inside the MCU so the RTC-clock was ported out here. But this doesn't seem to be the case.

Heyho,there's lots of info in the datasheets and the AN2867 about the specs of the HSE / LSE oscillators with passive crystals...But I'd like to have some "measurable" *** specs, so that I can compare a real life custom board, which means:voltage levels at the oscillator IN/OUT pins.*** Okay, the scope's probe's capacitance probably falsifies the actual signal, but so would be ST's...That would be some helpful info in the respective datasheet - and not some other app note.IMO it's not really good documentation if there are specs used in the AN which you cannot find in the datasheet, but only in a table in the AN.So, what can ST please tell me about "good, reliable voltage levels" / swing in Vpp at the HSE and LSE IO pins?

Hi all,I'm porting a project from a F072 (Nulceo-F072) to a custom PCB with a STM32L072.The board is going well, except when I try to use the USB (CDC mode).When I plug it into my PC, the OS can see it -         Bus 006 Device 072: ID 0483:5740 STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Portbut I can't connect to it. I can put it into Boot mode - again the OS sees it -         Bus 006 Device 071: ID 0483:df11 STMicroelectronics STM Device in DFU ModeBut STM32CubeProgrammer can't see it...The hardware design is the same as the Necleo-F072, however, I have added a USBLC6-2SC6 for protection.I have placed various breakpoints around the USB CDC module to find out where it's going wrong, but I haven't found a trigger point yet.Has anyone got any leads?K
