Hello,I have a rather strange problem on the CM7, where code executes with half or third the speed it should.I have no idea what is causing this, but I know how to fix it: by adding one or several NOPs somewhere in the code.Example: an ISR is taking 10us to execute. I change something (seemingly) unrelated in the code, and suddenly this ISR, with the same code, takes 20us. Now I add a NOP at the beginning of the main, and the ISR takes 10us again.Any ideas what the cause might be?edit:Some details:no cache usedCM7 code is mostly RAM code on TCMbuild with -OfastFMC addresses an FPGA (memory mapped registers)there are only two interrupts with same priorityclocks are unchanged, because the ISR frequency stays the same.

What is the default timer clock frequency of the APBx buses on an STM32F410RB? I've been considering it to be 16MHz to calculate the frequency of my PWM wave, but it turns out I get half the frequency on scope (is the default clock at 8MHz for timers? I have not altered clocks, and I'm using TIM5_CH1).

On G030 if an overrun occurs on usart2 (no FIFO available) the reception of further bytes stops.Is this intentional or an known error?

Noob here.  Using HAL and as much generated code as possible.   Ive run into an issue on how to self learn,  I've identified what I believe is the solution but nowhere( that I can figure out) in the reference document does it point to this in what I believe would be obviously described. Hi,I am trying to initialize FDCAN for my project. After the initialization I am clearing INIT bit in CCCR Register. Hi all,Currently I am working on a project using STM32U575ZG with both ADC1 and ADC4 enable.1. On both ADCs I have multiple channels enabled and every loop cycle the module will start single conversion on all of them.2. A second ADC task I would like to perform besides the above one is to re-configure to have ONLY 1 channel per ADC and continuously make conversion during a short amount of time. Afterward, the ADCs should be reconfigure back to normal with all channels up and running without de-initialize the peripheral. Hi,I'm creating a project on GUI using an embedded wizard. While I'm trying to flash the code to my STM32F423ZHT6 custom board. It shows an error: failed to erase memory.I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer and I successfully erased the entire flash. But still it shows the same error. I'm using GD25S512MDYIGR QSPI Flash memory. So I need a suitable flash loader for the STM32CubeProgrammer.Regards,Meenakshi.

I am working with an STM32F405 and have the I2C1 peripheral set up as a master in standard mode with a clock speed of 100 kHz.  The i2c bus has about 5 devices attached to it, none of which are capable of running in master mode.  I'm using the HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit and HAL_I2C_Master_Receive functions to communicate with the devices.  99.9% of the time I'm able to communicate with these devices without any issue, but once every few thousand transactions I'm getting a timeout error from the transmit function when trying to write the device address to SDA.When looking at one of these transactions with a scope, I'm seeing what I can only describe as a runt clock pulse when trying to perform an i2c write to address 0x71:

Hello dear community!I've migrated from F7 to H7, everything fine so far.To save CPU time I don't want to use HAL for sending two SPI bytes.My F7 transmit SPI code was very simple and perfectly working :SPI6->DR = byte_0; SPI6->DR = byte_1;But on the H7, the same code doesn't work :SPI6->TXDR = byte_0; SPI6->TXDR = byte_1;In both F7 and H7 projects, this is always working (but time-consuming) :HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi6, const_cast<uint8_t*>(buffer), 2, 1000);Do you know why bypassing HAL is not possible on the H7 ?Thanks!Jean

Dear All,I am working with a STM32U599NJH6Q.If I understand things correctly it has 4MB of flash divided on 2 banks.Based on the sample in STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.6.0\Projects\STM32U5x9J-DK\Examples\FLASH\FLASH_EraseProgram packet, in order to write to the flash you need to disable the icache, unlock the flash, determine the page you need to write to, the number of pages where to write and finally the bank where these pages are located. Then you erase the pages that you have determined and write the data in the address in the flash where the page starts. Finally you lock the flash and enable back the icache.In the example there is a limited number of pages where you can actually write to. Furthermore, the bank is also hard-coded. For my use case, I need to be able to write to the last pages of the flash.If I understand things correctly, since there are 2 banks and since the size of all pages is 8kB there 512 pages in total.The starting add

Hello, I try to use a TIM2 Interrupt to toggle a LED. I use a STM32F401C controller. If I toggle the LED inside the while loop with delay, it works fine.       while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_Delay(1000); }       But there is no interrupt for TIM2. I attached the CubeMX ioc file. Have I forgotten something to parmatrize?

I have an ADC connected to an STM32-L4P5DK. Data should be read in the background by the DMA controller. SPI TX is assigned to DMA1 CHANNEL2, and SPI RX is assigned to DMA1 CHANNEL3. Both DMA1 CHANNEL2 and CHANNEL3 are synchronized with EXTI1 (DRDY signal from the ADC). The STM32 SPI2 is configured as a full-duplex master. Both SPI TX(to transmit dummy bytes) and RX are synchronized with the external interrupt (pin PD1 is assigned to DRDY). The problem is that I can see the data on the scope, but SPI2 is not receiving any data.I start TX using the function:  HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&hspi2, tx, 0x1b);  And receive the transmission using:  HAL_DMA_Start_IT(&hdma_spi2_tx, (uint32_t)adc_buf, (uint32_t)&(SPI2->DR), 0x1b); SET_BIT(SPI2->CR2, SPI_CR2_RXDMAEN);

Inside the FLASH_WaitLastOperation function (called by HAL_FLASH_Program), the PGSERR+PGAERR bits are set after the write operation. Good day,Hope you're well. I used CubeMX to setup a PWM timer on the STM32F3 discovery board and tried to perform some debugging  to study how the registers changed(GPIOE and TIM1). The timer setup and initialization works as expected. LED blinks with output of duty cycle. However, when I tried to debug with different tools such as openocd, Clion, vscode+cortex-debug extension, gdb or CubeIDE, I step line after line and I'm stuck with setting a breakpoint after the clock configuration function (SystemClock_Config();) and cannot view the registers- Timer 1 especially(SVD view). All other lines of code cannot be stepped into  after this line. The debug session infinitely continues. I dug around to understand what could be the cause and my understanding is that since I am only initializing a timer peripheral and there is just the empty while loop, gdb sets a breakpoint at the reset handler. Nothing really happens after I continue the debug session. T

Hello, is there any documentation regarding the startup on both cores as I see there are several possibilitiess to gate the other core or to let them run directly in parallel. Nevertheless, CubeMx generates a common startup file which is shared I assume. Does ST provide more information on this topic? Where can I find some reference material, e.g. ARM for a dual core approach?

Hi,in ds for STM32H747xI/G  , DS12930 Rev 2 , for Temp.sensor CAL2 : 130° (Parameter) is written here: BUT  max. temp for chip is 125° :So i assume, this is misspelled  , because in all other : (H743, H750, H7A3 ..) 110° + 30° are given.NOT 130° .   

I am new to STM32, I am using Nucleo STM32F446RE board and programming in C in the program Keil, and I am facing an issue that I can't resolve,  trying to download my program, whenever I tryy to download it it says " no target connected" then another message appears say " Flash download failed- target DLL has been cancelled" when I  went into the 'Debug' tab, selected 'ST-Link Debugger' then the settings tab under SW Device  it says Error , No target connected Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
