I have an STM32F407 Discovery board. My project works fine using the dicovery board.Now it is time to move it to my own PCB, using a STM32F405.As a board "bring up" I tried to run a simple LED toggle program. When I flash the program I get a Download verified successfully message.It does not work unless I step through it in debug mode. In run mode the output pin for the LED stays high. If I add a variable and increment it every time the LED toggles I can see it incrementing normally in debug mode.I have an external resonator crystal at 8MHz. I can see it working at 8 MHz on the scope.I have a 10K resistor pulling BOOT0 to ground. The two VCaps are present. A 10k resistor pulls NRST up to 3.3v rail.All power and grounds ok with decoupling caps.I have checked all settings in my .ioc file. Cant see any issues. (The settings are the same as for my discovery board program that works correctly).Im sure one of you can hel

I have this timer that is configured to generate an interrupt after every 15.625 µs, i.e., when it’s period elapses. The timer elapsed callback function contains the code below. The requirement is that new data be transmitted via SPI every 15.625 µs but a single iteration of this callback function is taking 17.95 µs currently. The clock speeds are at the maximum frequency I can achieve with the internal clock. I’ve also tried to reduce the length of the code as much as I can (There’s no code in while (1)). I believe if I use an external oscillator to achieve a higher SYSCLK frequency, the callback execution time will reduce. Posted on April 13, 2014 at 13:46Hello! When using CubeMX and going to Configuration and System --> NVIC ''System tick timer'' Interrupt is enabled. When I disable it, click apply and ok and then open NVIC dialog again it's enabled instead of disabled. With other interrupts this behaviour takes not place. I don't need the Systick and therefore my question is: How can I manage to disable it with the CubeMX software? Thanks for answers! Florian

I have the FMAC working enough to produce values readable from RDATA, but they are acting strangely and giving small positive and negative values and 0. As a minimal test, I created the below code to have X1 and X2 be all 1s. I'm rewriting some of my old LL code to use HAL and having trouble getting the RTC to read time correctly. I'm the hardware guy on a 32F413 project where we have a lot of impulse noise nearby on the PCB.  Because of this I've been on a campaign to make certain that all microcontroller I/O pins are equipped with pull-up or pull-down resistors.The project has reached the stage where our quality assurance folks get cranky whenever I try to add a resistor to this PCB.  So when I find a 32F port pin that is missing a pull up/pull down resistor (as I did this week) it becomes a crisis of meetings and memos.Remind me to never work again in a medical equipment company.So I approached our firmware guy and asked him to alter his code to make certain the offending port pin is equipped with either an internal pull-up or a pull-down during his sleep mode,Firmware guy replies:  "No can do, hardware guy.  The micro is in its deepest sleep state and the port pins flap in the breeze during deep sleep.  You must fix that undefine

I am facing an issue with my custom-made STM32F4x minimum system board. I am experiencing unstable connections with the STLink. I am using an AMS1117 for power supply, and I have found that when the STLink supplies power at 5V to the AMS1117, it cannot connect properly. Similarly, when I directly connect the 3.3V output to VDD, it still does not connect properly. Although all the voltage readings at various points are correct (VDD is 3.3V, and VCAP is 1.25V), I cannot establish a connection with the STLink. However, the STM32 is booting up normally, and the LED flashing program I previously burned is running. Additionally, I can connect and burn using the serial port, but only the STLink connection fails. I have also tested reducing the SWD frequency to 5kHz, but it still cannot connect. The logic analyzer shows some errors and no replies in the SWD response, but there are a few ‘OK’ responses as well. Occasionally, I find that I can connect properly, but it seems to happen randomly wi

I recently got a STM32F410RB. The block diagram shows "DAC1 as AF". I have been looking up the datasheet to find the alternate function pin for the DAC module in the "Alternate function mapping" table, but I'm unable to. Also, I see DAC1_OUT under the Alternate function column of the "Pin description" table. I am unable to ascertain the AF type hence. Any help would be highly appreciated. Hello forumI'm trying to implement a project that takes the sensor data and saving it into a USB flash Drive,for that, I'm trying to use the MX system to activate:USBPD - Type C only, TIM2, enabled USB support USBX - Host CoreStack FS, Host Controller FS, MSCUSB_OTG_FS - Host OnlyFileX - FileX Corewhile creating the files, before even editing anything, I get a contradiction error between ux_port.h and fx_port.h,if I try to delete one of them it disables the entire respective library.Is there anything I'm doing wrong? any working example of what I'm trying to do?I really appreciate any help you can provide. 

Hi,I want to use External 32.768KHz Oscillator as clock source for RTC. This is a reference schematic how I intend to connect Oscillator with RCC_OSC32_IN pin on my STM32H743 microcontroller.  My Query is since oscillator requires Vcc 3.3V to operate, there are three possibilities:1. Give 3.3V supply from my PCB, what happens when power is Off in this case ?2. If I use 3.6V RTC battery to supply this oscillator, in that case it will use power from my battery even when the board is power On.3. I am using STM32H743IIT6 MCU to drive HDMI display using LTDC peripheral and Texas Instrument TFP410 for RGB to HDMI conversion. Issue I am facing is I use external crystal as clock source then I see disturbance on my HDMI monitor and its display blinks randomly, say screen is proper for some 5-10 sec then it will flicker and turn off and on then again be stable for some time and these repeats. My guess is that some HDMI timing related parameters are not matched and that's why this behavior on monitor. Surprisingly, this issue resolves if I use internal CSI RC oscillator as clock source.  I even tried doing the PCB layout again using an external agency, but same issue persists in that layout as well. What could be the issue here that it works with internal CSI RC clock source and not external crystal ? Please find below related parameters configured in my project. I have also attached my projects CubeMX .ioc file for reference.

Can failed to reinit after deinit. 1. Two cans was used for my projects which was generated by stm32cubemx 2. after run for a short while , I turn off both cans by HAL_CAN_DeInit 3. then I reinit both cans by MX_canx_init and found it failed in HAL_CAN_Init 4. I have tried to pull both can rx and tx pins but does not work 5. Before reinit I have checked both rx and tx pins is high Questions: 1. Possible reason for can reinit failed. 2. May I know where is the PH3/BOOT0 pin on the STM32L432KC board? I don't see any GPIO pin for that. It is connected to the F103 chip onboard but how do I use that?

If the LSE 32.768KHz crystal is disturbed after the system starts with MSIS auto calibration, and the MSIS clock is used by the PLL for the SYSCLK, the frequency of SYSCLK loses its 0.25% accuracy and starts to drift.Is there any register or interrupt that can be used to detect this situation (MSI_PLL_UNLOCK and LSECSS not available for Rev X - RM0456 Table 184 & 187), and if so, what steps can re-setup the clock to be auto calibrated once again?I can simulate it by touching the LSE crystal when it is running, the SYSCLK changes from 159.91Mhz (stable) to about 161.59 - 161.2 (unstable), even though the 32.768khz returns to being stable after the disturbance.I am currently evaluating using both the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board and the B-U585I-IOT02A board, both with Rev X parts fitted. Is Rev X currently in production, or is there a newer/fixed revision available?

I've finally got the FMAC to load, execute and produce data. However, I can only make the X1full flag get set if I call 16 writes to WDATA. I'd like to streamline part of this and use a memory to memory transfer. I'm seeing this not working. Can memory to memory transfers be used to load the X1 buffer with multiple values? I'm using this line to test:HAL_DMA_Start(&hdma_memtomem_dma1_channel5,(uint32_t)CTST_IN,(uint32_t)&FMAC->WDATA,16);Source address is configured to increment and the destination address is not. This should generate repeat writes to WDATA from the elements in CTST_IN. I can't tell what if anything is written to the FMAC. If I change &FMAC->WDATA to a generic R\W register (I used TIM20->CCR6) I can read back the last data item in the buffer from CCR6, [correct] so I know the DMA channel and transfer work. I suspect I'll run into other circumstances where repeat register write

MCU: STM32G070CBT6According to ES0468 - Rev 5 (STM32G070CB/KB/RB device errata), for issue 2.2.10, the only workaround can be applied is erasing the RTC domain by software during power up. But this workaround would clear RTC time/date data. Normally, the RTC would keep running as long as VBAT is powered. When VDD is powered, I can keep the RTC time/date data if backup register has specific data. But after appling above workaround, the RTC time/date data and backup register would be erased. Is there any way to keep the RTC time/date while appling the workaround?

Tried with so many addresses inside the Rx Descriptor and TxDescriptor but failed miserably while pinging the NUCLEO F767ZI board using Desktop.I wanted to establish a connection between my pc and stm32 nucleo f767zi board using the ethernet port RMII available on the board.I tried using the stmcubeide changed the port PG11,PG13.Tried configuring MPU and lwip but with no tools or examples im unable to understand and get any ping from the board and always get host unreachable when i ping the ip without any internet conncetion in pc Any help will be great.If any resources /tutorial are there then Please share.Looking forwards

I have a working project with its .ioc file.Now I need to port the project codebase to another project that uses exactly the same processor, but with different pinout: the peripherals in the project will be the same, mapped on some other pins.I need to have a complete codebase with its ioc file for both projects.What is the best course of action to duplicate the original project?It would be ok if I'll have to mess around with cubeMX to manage both ioc files.

Hello,I am using an STM32U585CIU6 with LSM6DSOX to sample acceleration values, in order to use it in a project on NanoEdge. I am facing an issue while trying to sample higher frequencies. My accelerometer is set to operate at 833Hz. By printing the number of measurements taken by LSM on Serial interface, I could  manually get the real sampling frequency, which was about 333Hz. My baudrate is set to 230400 bits/s, and my LSM6DSOX communicates via I2C, which was set to Standard Mode (100KHz). By switching I2C to Fast Mode or Fast Mode Plus, I could measure a new sampling frequency near 500Hz, meaning there is something still limiting the communication speed. I couldn't adjust the baud rate to a higher value because the ioc configuration would automatically adjust it back to 230400, as if that's the limit for some reason. I'm lastly suspicious of the clock configuration in my project, which are all set at 4MHz (for Co

Currently i am working with nucleo-h743zi2 board. I set the Baud rate in CubeMx to 115200. In the Hercules program, when I set the baud rate to 115200, the data does not flow correctly, but when I set the baud rate to 38400, it flows correctly. Why might this problem occur? My CubeMx settings can also be seen in the photo.
