Hi,      I am currently using STM32H503KBU6 MCU (32 pins). For my project the space in PCB board is critical. I have placed a LDO, Level translator, voltage supervisor and along with their associated passives in a 10mmx16mm PCB board. Now I still need to place three resistor, which I can't able to place because there is no space. My question is that is it necessary to use a high value decoupling capacitor (4.7uF) for VDD and VDDA? Because if I remove those two 4.7uF capacitor, I will get some space to place the three resistors. Kindly give me your thoughts about this. I have attached schematic images which is available in STM website.

Hello, how to know ram memory usage using debugger, to check where memory is used. This is without FreeRTOS or CMSISI know freeRTOS has TaskGetStackHighWaterMark() 

I'm using STM32L486 at 2.5V.The MSI auto calibration feature (aka PLL mode) is crashing at cold temperatures with specific usages of Stop mode. When it crashes, it drives MSI to its minimum frequency for the selected range. For example, the 24 MHz range produces 17.9 MHz when the PLL mode crashes. To restore proper PLL function, either a very long power down is required, or the software must allow the MSI in PLL mode to run uninterrupted by Stop modes for several seconds.(Note that LSE is working perfectly; I have enabled the LSECSS system and tested its functionality. There are no LSE anomalies, not even when the PLL-mode crashes. If I induce an LSE anomaly, LSECSS catches it.)Is MSI PLL-mode supposed to be compatible with Stop modes? Obviously the MSI stops in Stop mode, but is it supposed to be safe to stop and start the MSI this way even with PLL-mode enabled? I need to process samples from two different ADCs by transferring their samples to the FMAC via DMA. This is done by writing repeat values to FMAC->WDATA. Both ADCs have the same trigger and I want to insure one ADC's value arrives before the other. I know I can adjust the priority, but they are both using channels on DMA1 and they trigger at the exact same time, so I’m still suspicious there might be more to it. Is priority enough?

Hi, While implementing a single conversion process for the Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) via register-level programming, the debugging phase yields a consistent output of zero, irrespective of the input. Hello all I am interfacing various peripherals on the STM42F446RE, SPI, I2C, UART etc,  and in the process i'm choosing to use the DMA controller.when configuring various 3rd party ICs some may have many registers to setup, Rather than use global array variables eating up resorces of the ARM, is it safe to use local variables within the peripherals DMA setup when calling HAL_SPI_DMA functions ?? void setup_spi (void){#define array 24uint8_t    spi_tx[array] = { 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 };  HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA( &hspi1, spi_tx, array ); } my concern with the above is..., does the data get lost when exiting the function before it is written to the DMA ?? is this ok to do this ??? or should I use global variables when writing to the DMA Thank in

I am using the FMAC for the first time and I am seeing strange behavior after preloading data to X1. I'm pushing 16 items to WDATA via a memory to memory DMA transfer. The buffer size is 16, so X1full should go high when it finishes. It doesn't. I placed a while delay after the X1 load command waiting for the X1full bit. When stalled on this line, I see the Yempty bit toggle on and off.  I also see the UNFL bit set in the SR register.I'm not making any reads to RDATA, nor am I initiating any computations to write to Y yet, so none of this should be happening. Hi,I'm developing a new application for the STM32U5A5 processor. The application runs correctly if I program (flash) and debug with the JTAG/SWD debugger. Even after disconnecting the debugger, the application still runs, and it is possible to re-program again (multiple times), and restarts if the RST pin is driven low.However, as soon as the eval board power is cycled, the application doesn't run at all.   I've been trying to connect to multiple OV5640 camera sensors from different brands and even STM32's official board B-CAMS-OMV on the STM32-H7A3ZI-Q nucleo board and have had no luck with it whatsoever. Does ST have any projects that are built off this board to interface with the OV5640 drivers that ST provides? The one that is provided with the STM32 b-u585I-IOT2a board works just fine and when comparing against the two projects the function calls are nearly identical except for the hardware initialization since the u585 uses GPDMA rather than DMA. Whenever my project is ran across the H7A board the DMA will always pull 0's.   Any help is greatly appreciated.  

I am making this code which, on an interrupt, is supposed to wake the system from STOP mode, put it into low powered run mode, and run LPTIM1 for 1 minute before triggering a flag and going back into STOP mode. I have PSC as 128 and ARR as 60962, so Fout = Fosc / ((PSC + 1) * (ARR + 1)) = 0.1667 Hz, which is 59.99 seconds period. however, in my program, the HAL function HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback() gets called after exactly 30 seconds. why is that? did i set up something wrong? Hi all,I am trying to send x number of 100 ms pulses (50 ms on, 50 ms off) with a PWM in one-pulse mode. when I wired the output to a pulse-counting device, I noticed that it is picking up 10x less pulses than is programmed. I believe there is an issue with how I programmed the timer, but could not figure it out for the life of me. Any ideas on what might be causing this issue? Hello,I read the AN4861 and try to determine the max LCD resolution for a STM32U5F without using external RAM. The lowest color is 16 bit, RGB656. I would like to use 1366*768, which should be 1049088 pixel, this should approx 1.9MB for the framebuffer.  Would this work ?

Hello,Due to more required space, our product shall be upgraded from STM32F101RD CPU to STM32F101RG. That is an upgrade in flash memory from 384KByte to 1MByte and in RAM memory from 48 kKByte to 80 KByte.For the STM32F101RD controller, we used the define STM32F10X_HD as preprocessor define in the Keil IDE. For the STM32F101RG is it correct to use STM32F10X_XL?Is it additionally necessary to define the flash memory of the STM32F101RG? Hi,1. In the STM32G0x1 reference manual I can read about the FDCAN peripheral. But there is no STM32G0 MCU with FDCAN anyway. Why is FDCAN in this reference manual anyway?2. How can I know whether a MCU has DFU (USB bootloader)? There's no column for that in the product selector and  - obviously - I can't know it for sure from the datasheet or reference manual (see 1)?3. Is the product selector the only way to know which peripherals are in which MCU's?  I have to connect my STM32H7 board to a network with unkown parameters. Is it possible to use the FDCAN Clock calibration Unit (CCU) to do an automatic baud rate detection of the arbitration phase.

I'm trying to use the frequency measurement with NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q. As per suggested, the max allowed frequency of SYSCLK is 160 MHz which I use. I'm configuring TIM2 Channel 1 in direct input capture mode. I use 0 as the prescaler and the max value for the counter (but I reset the timer every time I calculate the frequency). I detect the rising edge and I don't use any Input Filter (which could be a 4 bit value). The strange part is when I try to measure frequencies below 500 KHz, the result is super stable and reliable. I used both a lab function generator and the STM PWM generator via TIM 1 as the input test signal.However, when I try signals above 800 KHz for testing I read values which are sometimes 800KHz and sometimes 400KHz! Even stranger, when the input signal is above 1 MHz, I either measure 800KHz or 533.3333KHz!. I use the IC interrupt to implement my calculations as following. Hello,I need to know what the minimum required current is to drive a pin as input for the STM32G0-series. I've gone through the datasheet but cannot find anything concluding for me. Could someone tell me?The reason is that I use a power switch to make headerpins flexible as input/output but when not outputting something it has a small leakage current (between 5-20uA) that could possibly cause false possitives if we want to use a headerpin as input.if it is too much current how would i fix it best? The resistor arrays are 330Kohm and 51Kohm to change the voltage from 24 to 3.3V  &n
